I wanted it to mean that we’re not the kind of company that says “okay” to just anything. But when we do say “okay,” it should mean something that’s genuinely good.
That’s really the idea I wanted to put into it. Whether it’s the content we create, the business areas we expand into, or whatever kind of business we pursue—we’re open to all kinds of possibilities. But that openness is always meant to move in a direction that everyone can say “okay” to, a direction that feels good and meaningful. That’s the ambition behind it.

The bird, in a way, symbolizes a kind of freedom that everyone recognizes. As we launched the company, one of the values we considered most important was freedom, along with a new vision toward an unknown future.
That’s also why we chose a hand-drawn style. At this stage, I wanted to express everything in the freest form possible.
I wanted to make a video that could communicate the blueprint for the business I’m going to build in the future. It’s still somewhat abstract, but I wanted it to at least convey the direction I’m heading.

The symbolic expression that encapsulates all of that was the record shop I loved when I was a kid. Some record shops didn’t just sell records—they also had clothes, their own merchandise, and all kinds of interesting things. Those places stayed with me as memories.
In a symbolic sense, they also represent the direction I want my business to take. I want to build something based on the things I genuinely love, while also creating something that other people can love too—something that anyone can enjoy. That’s what the illustration was really meant to symbolize.
It wasn’t about saying, “I’m going to open a record shop.” It was about showing a dream space where I could unfold my vision.

The dinosaur was something I thought of as a simple symbol for a boy group. It was just the first animal that came to mind. Kind of like NewJeans has the bunny.
Director Shindonggeul (Director Lee Young-eum) made it as a joke. After listening to my story, they put my signature blue hat and striped shirt on the dinosaur just for fun. I thought it was so cute and charming that we ended up releasing it. It was a very spontaneous video, made out of mutual respect and affection.

We actually made a lot of teaser videos for OOAK Records. Those videos were made by directors I’ve worked with for a long time—Director Shindonggeul and Director Lee Young-eum. When I told them I was starting a new company and shared the kinds of videos I wanted to make, they really jumped in to help, almost like friends helping another friend. They’re genuinely my friends, and they worked on those videos with the mindset of cheering me on.

I think those kinds of heartfelt connections between people are what really enrich my work. They raise the quality of what we create, and they also make life itself more enjoyable. I think that sincerity is the most important thing.
The people who work well with me aren’t people who put money first. Money is important—I’m not saying it isn’t—but it’s never the first priority. The first priority is always asking, “Why am I doing this project?” and “I want to enjoy doing this. What do we need to do to make it enjoyable?”
I work best with people who think that way. We become close, we keep working together for a long time, and that cycle just continues.
I’ve been gathering a lot of fun, wonderful friends around me. Thankfully, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive so much support, so everything has been moving forward in a really enjoyable way.
I’m confident.
I think that’s the only way I can express it right now.

남의돈으로 잔치 벌이는 파티 플래너 수준.
내란의 시기와 맞물려 개인적으로는 윤석렬과 김건희를
합쳐놓은 이미지. 심지어 그 추종자들이 울부짖는 민어게인
구호조차 똑같.
그 사회의 건강함은 그 사회 구성원들이 누굴 추종하는지
보면 가늠이 오는데….민희진은 이나라 대중문화의 수요층이
얼마나 암울한 미래를 보여줄지 가늠됨.
아닌가? 어느시대 어느 사회나 질량보존의 법칙처럼 존재하는
그냥 개선의 여지가 없는 인간들인건가?
