[Music] Hi everyone. Welcome back or if you’re new here or welcome to the little nail room. My name is Haley and we do nail tutorials every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please excuse my chubby little hands. I don’t have nails on currently. Um apart from one one finger, but ignore that. Uh, so we’re going to do another fall design using cozy blanket, scorpion season, and pumpkin palace. All from Madame Glam. And you can save 30% using code little nailing 30. A load of stamping polishes from Born Pretty. Um, and some glitter from Charlie’s nail art supplies. So, you can save 10% at Charlie’s using code nail room 10 and 12% at Born Pretty using code TLNR. Oh, and some stamping plates from Moyu London. Uh, I don’t have an affiliate like I don’t have a discount code, but there is an affiliate link and Mo Moyu London’s like stepping away from stamping plates at the minute. So, everything’s like super heavily reduced. Um, so definitely check that out if you are looking for some good quality stamping plates. So this design was kind of like I drew out a design but still kind of winged it a little bit throughout. So there was still like chopping and changing and adding things that didn’t draw down like right down or draw. Um yeah, it was a bit all over the place. So it’s a little bit longer than normal because there was a lot of like chopping out sections. Uh, but I basically put cozy blanket on the thumb, middle, and pinky. And then we’ve done an ombre of cozy blanket to scorpion se on the index. And then cozy blanket and pumpkin palace on the ring finger. They are all going to have two coats as well. And when it comes to ombres and and things like that, doing any kind of ombreing and fading, just the first coat looks crap. It really does, but that second coat just really melts it all together and it looks lovely. Um, so just be patient when it comes to doing any kind of ombre. There was a hair and I couldn’t figure out what it was attached to. I was like, it’s not attached to the nail. What is it attached to? Um, it wasn’t attached to the the the stand, but it was in the Blu-Tack that I was using to stick the tips onto the stand. And I thought, well, the polish is wet now. So, had to wait for the polish to be cured so I could take the nail off, take the hair. It’s my ginger cat. He is just obsessed with coming into the little nail room and finding a little hidy spot. So, he’s currently actually ruined one of my uh you know the storage baskets that’s in my units. He’s ruined one of them because he likes to stand on the desk and then reach up and sharpen his claws on my storage basket. So, yeah, great times. So, we’ve done two coats on all of them. I’m going to grab which stamping plate is this? Let me just have a look cuz I haven’t actually I don’t think I showed it on camera but it’s fall in love collection number 11 plate 11. Um I’m using three today. I think I’ve only got three fall stamping plates from Moyu London and I’m using all three cuz why not? Uh so I’ve grabbed the what was that one called? I’m all over the place. Diana. So I don’t think I’ve ever used this one. if I have I’ve maybe used it once and it’s like two years old so I had to give it a good shake and a good stir but it’s a really really nice dark blue and I thought it would match the Scorpio season color that we used from Madame Glam. So I’m going to put that on the plaid design that’s in the bottom right of yeah bottom right of the stamping plate and it picked up really well really really well. Don’t think I’ve used this plaid pattern either. Um, and I was hoping, so I chose tiny little uh coffin sized nails because I was like, what’s the smallest nail but not too small to do like a proper design on? Something that is going to be big enough so that you can all see and we can put as much design and elements on as possible, but still be able to fit the stamping pattern, the design fully on a nail. And medium coffin actually. know it’s called short coffin from Vixie Vixie or Vixie. I’ll leave them linked in the description box. So, we’ve used the blue to do the plaid stamp on the pinky finger. And then this is where I was like, I didn’t actually draw this like for a plan. Uh it came as I was doing the nails. I don’t know. Sometimes they work out really well, sometimes they don’t. I do think it is always best to kind of plan and draw out your designs. At the very beginning when I was doing that, I used to print off um like templates and then sit and draw and then I was like actually I’m going to get Procreate and do it on my iPad or then I tried to use Canva and do it on there and you know what it takes forever. So, the best way for me, because it takes like 10 minutes, I literally draw some weird blob shapes that are supposed to be nails, and I just quickly rough sketch what I’m going to do. There’s no color added to it. There’s just arrows and little like text boxes of what I want to do. And then I can always change it as I go along as well. So, I wanted to carry on the plaid design that was on the pinky. And like I said, we’re doing like a bluey orange kind of theme going on, which is quite quite autuminal, quite fall. And I was really hoping that the two colors I picked worked well together. I think they did. I think they work quite well together. Um, but I wanted to carry on that plaid design, but I knew that the pattern the the the size of it wouldn’t fit entirely on the thumbnail. So, I grabbed pumpkin pumpkin palace, drew a French line, uh, and mapped it out first, and then I rubbed away what I didn’t want before I ended up curing, which always helps like planning and mapping. Um, and then once that was cured, I actually mixed two stamping polishes together. We used orange autumn and tulip celebration, both from Born Pretty. Uh, and I’ll just mix them on the stamping plate itself. And it kind of gave me pumpkin palace. It was very, very close in color. So, we’ve got a plaid French on the thumb. Then, we are moving on to the index and the ring finger, the two that have the ombre. And we’re going to use some bronze uh metallic chunky glitter. It’s like a hexagon mix from Charlie’s. And a little bit like the ombre that we’ve created with the gel polish, I’m going to do that in the glitter as well. So, it’s more concentrated around the free edge and then it’s kind of blended up towards the cuticle. Give them a cure. And I do I don’t think I show on camera. Like I said, there was a lot of chopping edity bits out because it was just all over the shop. So, I definitely base coat again over the top of these once they’re cured. So, they’re looking like that so far. And then I take stamping plate fall in love collection number 16. And this has just got so many good things on. It’s got pumpkin pie. It just kettles, mugs, coffee, pumpkins, toad stools, Wellington boots, um apples, blueberries, not blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, umbrellas, squirrels, houses, just so many lovely things. But most of all, lots and lots of lovely leaves. So, we’re going to take the orange and do an orange leaf, a green because there is a few green leaves hanging about, just clinging on. Um, and we’re going to put them wherever we see fit. But because this is a layered stamp, you a stamping plate, sorry. You want to do the solid color first. Pick that up with your color and then next to it will have the outline. So, I’ve just chosen to do that in black. I did think about doing in brown a little bit like I know you wouldn’t have seen it. It was in the members video. Um we used like a brown polish orange autumn it was called to do a design on them. I don’t know can’t really explain it. Uh but if you remember you’ll understand. And I was thinking about doing that on these for the outline but I went with black because what I had next in mind for the middle nail tied it all in. So, I spotted some little toad stool uh little designs on there. So, I had to put them in cuz they are adorable. So, we’ve got two leaves and two toad stools on those nails. And then just again concentrating them towards the lower half, you know, like the free edge more on those on on that section. Sorry. Um and we do do the same to the ring finger, but we use two different types of leaves. So, I do a brown leaf and another green leaf instead of using the orange because it’s going on an orange nail. Um, but then you just have to do all of the outlines in black, which actually can be a little bit tricky like trying to line them up. Um, thankfully some of the leaves that I chose are like really simple shapes so I could line it up properly, but the more like angles or lines that the images have. So, especially like the toad stool, it’s got that semicircle kind of shape and then a long rectangular shape, but it’s all conjoined together. So, I had to make sure that it was all lining up properly. Uh, and on the other nail that you don’t see, the ring finger, it’s got a really spiky leaf on it. Um, so that was a little bit more tricky to get lined up on the outline. But I think just just practice. It just takes a lot of practice and most of all just not giving a damn if it doesn’t go to plan because the more stress that you put on yourself, the more chance it’s actually going to fail. So, I was always in the mindset of um I’ve got to be really slow. I’ve got to think about where my brush is going to go next. But if you just go and get stuck straight in, there’s more chance that you’re not going to be as shaky. You’re not going to be as panicked and it’s going to come out a lot lot better. I mean, better products do help as well. So, if you’re struggling to get nice thin lines, um, using gel polish, try using gel paint. It is a little bit more expensive. You’re not going to use it as often, but it does make a world of difference. So, me doing these blue lines now with Scorpio season, they’re a little bit loose. They’re a little bit wobbly, but when I go in and do them in the black gel paints, which I’ll show you in a sec, they’re just so much smoother. the the gel paint is so much thicker that you have a lot more control of it and you can get to get it to go exactly where you want it. It’s not going to spread like the gel polish does. It’s just a lot easier. So, I wanted those two plaid nails to kind of like be a bit more of a continuation of the whole set. So, I didn’t want to leave the orange one orange and the blue one blue. So, I did alternating lines of the alternating colors on the plaid, and then once that was cured, I matte top coated both of them, wiped them down again after, gave them a buff, and then I’m going to go in with Madame Glam’s black gel paint. I usually use Born Pretty’s Pray Painting Gel in black, but I’m all out and I’m really, really sad. But this one is just as good. But I think I do prefer Born Pretty’s consistency. So, if you know, you know. We’ve buffed it, we’ve matted it, whatever. We’re going in with a black gel paint. It means we are going to go in with some chrome powder. And this is my all-time favorite method. If I’m going to go in with a chrome powder, it’s got to be a black gel paint over the top of a matted and buffed nail. It works every time. Um, you’ll see in a second when I go in with the chrome powder that after I dust it off, it looks like, you know, it’s not going to come off. It’s just going to be covered in chrome and it’s not going to be isolated. I was getting a kiss off Ryan at that point saying goodbye. Um, what was I saying? Yeah, it it looks like it hasn’t worked until you get a sponge. So, if you’re using a sponge applicator, once you’ve put your chrome on, get a clean side or another clean applicator and just really press quite hard to remove like drag and remove the excess chrome powder or the little tiny square little cube um sponges or a makeup sponge. They’re they’re great. Absolutely great at removing the excess. So, you’ll see in a sec. I’m dusting and it’s just not coming off and I’m panicking. I’m not actually cuz I know but a few years ago I probably would have been panicking. Um just grab a sponge and it’s all gone. But it’s stuck to the gel paint and that is exactly what we want. If these were nails that I was selling or wearing myself, I would base coat over the top of the chrome before going in with my choice of top coat. So, we’ve just got one nail left to do. We’ll show you what they’re looking like at the minute. I am going to matt top coat all of these. Um, so for the middle nail, there was a few different ideas going around. I drew something completely different to what’s going on it. I’m only actually using like half of the ideas that I had. I think otherwise it would have been just too much along like if we needed something a bit more toned down compared to the two nails that are next to it full of the leaves and the toastal and the ombre and the glitter. And then you’ve got the plaid that is quite busy as well. So, we toned it back a little bit and we were like, you know what? Let’s try and not put as much on. I really wanted to do like um a solid disc over the top of the glitter. So, it was a bit like a frame and then put a sentiment over the top of that. Um, but I thought I think again that was a bit too much. So, I just went with glitter and then a little sentiment saying hello autumn. and then whacked that on. Gave that a matte top coat and you are good to go. And I really like this set. I think it worked out really, really nicely. It is a little bit busy. Uh I think if I was to hand draw the plaid, I probably would wear these. It just for me personally, my taste when I’m wearing nails, it’s just a little bit too busy. Uh but I do love it so so much. And I love the color combination as well. It works really well even with that pop of red because we’ve got the orange and the blue is quite like a a red tone blue as well. I think it works really really well. But do please let me know what you think. I hope you like this video. Everything I’ve used is always linked in the description box down below with discount codes, affiliate links. They’ll all be listed. Really do appreciate you all watching. Uh and I can’t wait to see you in the next one which is Friday tomorrow. Flinging flanging Friday. So, please don’t forget to hit like and subscribe if you haven’t already, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
