3 Simple Pieces, 14 Stunning Outfits: Capsule Wardrobe Inspiration!

hey everyone this video is for those of you that love a capsule wardrobe you’ve been requesting one this is for you this is also a video for you if you’ve seen a few of my pieces that I featured on YouTube or Instagram or even on my ltk shop and you’ve wondered if there are different ways to style it because this video started out as me picking three pieces that I’ve shared with you before that have been bestsellers well of and showing you different ways to to style it and it quickly turned into a kind of capsule wardrobe so I have two sets and one dress and I’m going to walk you through all the permutations and combinations well not all but quite a few that you can make with it so if you are thinking about packing for a trip coming up you need some late spring early summer outfit ideas I have definitely got you covered let’s start out with the first hero piece which is this two-piece set that happens to be from Amazon but is very much inspired by pieces from the Spanx air Essentials line in that the material is very similar it looks like something that would come from Spanx especially the pants the top is actually very similar to a Spanx top from a different line of theirs because of the seaming but it is made in the air Essentials like fabric so this basic twopiece set comes in a ton of colors I picked it up in the shade that is called apricot I do not know why to me is like a creamy beige love this it has a zipper in the back that is easy to reach on your own has a drawstring waist I love that it has pockets so it’s great for a a travel outfit work for home running errands what have you and as you’re seeing it nothing wrong with wearing it just like it is accessorized with some chunky gold earrings that I’m wearing throughout the video I grabbed my current favorite tote bag that I been carrying Non-Stop and I paired it with a pair of brown leather double strap kind of slides they look like birken stocks these are actually from shut so they’re a little bit dressier than your typical original birken stock because of the seaming it’s almost an a-line shape on the top so it actually works pretty well untucked and a quick way to change up the outfit without doing anything really is just to tuck it in gives it I feel like almost an entirely different look so you can wear it tucked or untucked now I’m going to add my next hero piece a shamur blouse specifically something that’s made from Mostly or all tensil fabric I’m going to link in the description box which all of that is also pinned to the top of the comments to make all these items easier for you to find I will pin my current recommendations for a shambry SL tensil top because the one I’m wearing is currently available but you find one that you love or you might already have one in your closet you don’t need a million of them one or two you are good to go so I like a shamur top and I’m going to use shambry tensil sort of interchangeably but a shambry color denim color top instead of a denim jacket for quite a few reasons first of all shamber is a neutral color it goes with all the things it’s like your favorite pair of jeans but in a top version I like this in place of a denim jacket because I find denim jackets to generally be very stiff and bulky they just add too much bulk to an outfit especially if you’re wearing it like I intend to wear this outfit for travel so I like this shamur shirt as a layer instead of a denim jacket and it’s easier to take off and fold up because it’s tensil it folds up very tiny you can shove it in your tote bag you can tie it around your waist just gives you more options especially when you get to your destination now I initially showed this outfit with slide on sandals but especially if you’re traveling via air travel you might want to wear closed toad shoes I generally prefer to wear closed toed shoes when I’m traveling by and why I like these mesh ballet flats is I get hot not on my body but my feet get hot so these are a little more ventilated because they’re mesh but it’s still closed tote so a nice option these particular ballet flats also have a little bit of support in the insole so if you’re walking through the airport all that stuff your feet aren’t going to hurt at the end of the day if you feel like that’s a little too much ventilation of course you can swap those out for white sneakers and I have a pair that I’m going to share with you a little bit later the advantage of wearing the white sneakers is they’re also bulkier shoes so if you’re putting all this together for a vacation where you’re packing it’s less to pack in the suitcase more room for all the other things okay here’s where the capsule wardrobe comes in we have reached our destination and now we’re going to start mixing things up so let’s keep the pants from this set swap out the top for just the chamber blouse but we’re going to wear it buttoned up and tucked in it’s a different look I think it’s a very polished look you’re still very casual I like this look better with the mesh Flats if you want to look a little more polished a little more dressed up I’d say I don’t want to say dressy casual it is not but it’s a little more of a sophisticated look but if you want to go more street style a little more cool girl again bring out those white sneakers so now we get into some fun combinations we’re going to go back to wearing the top from the set and we are going to change out the bottoms for white denim I am in love with these Chico no stain denim I was going to say denim jeans isn’t that sort of redundant whatever you want to call them I love them they are one of my best sellers month over month I pray chos does not discontinue them they are the softest most lightweight denim that are not see-through adore them they don’t get stretched out and they repel stains I do have to wash these Rowdy jumped on me he got his Muddy Paws on me but I have worn them probably five or six times at least before I have to wear them can you do that with any other pair of white jeans probably not I love this kind of tonal cream and white look altogether you’ve got the creamy beige top the white denim you can pair white with cream they don’t clash and then to kind of keep that theme going going I brought in my skin tone color I guess they’re beigy uh sandals plus a matching neutral cross body bag to just keep that whole cream beige white thing going from head to toe I think it looks really elegant a little bit sophisticated but it’s still super casual very comfortable and because of the seaming here and just the way the shirt lies you do not have to tuck this one in I think it looks really great untucked which isn’t always the case we’re going to keep the white jeans and go for an all-in classic very preppy look go back back to that chamber shirt put that on button it up tuck it in and we’re going to go with the matchy matchy accessories to really just kind of lean into that preppy look I love this belt I’ve shared this so many times so many of you have asked about it you don’t have to get this exact one but I do want to point out that even though it is initially pricey you’re kind of getting four belts in one the key here is buy the belt in the size that fits on your waist when you’re wearing jeans which is a little lower than your natural waist it’ll be a slightly larger size than what would fit around your natural waist for most people so get that size then bring the belt to your local shoe repair shop and have them put in some more holes so that you can wear it tighter around your natural waist so now because this belt is reversible you have two colors to wear around your waist wearing pants and two colors to wear around your natural waist over a dress or a top so four belts in one I don’t always match my belt my shoes and my bag I like at least two out of the three to match but for this outfit for really clean crisp look I decided it would look best with the bag the shoes and the belt all matching in that same neutral beige color this would look just as great if they were all a brown or a tan I don’t love it as much with all black I think for summer Browns beiges those kind of tones are just a lighter look let’s go back to the original top from this set and I’m going to now add in my favorite pants of all time I wear these spring summer and fall and I do live in South Texas I live in San Antonio if you’re new here and so kind of in the the winter too these are tensil cargo joggers I love the jogger silhouette I think if you get them in this tensil fabric they are super easy to dress up or dress down I do think the key here is getting them in the olive green specifically that color goes with everything as you’re going to see shortly I did decide to throw in one new accessory that you haven’t seen before and they are these rfia sort of ruffle block lower heeled sandals I love them I think they are so fun and they are really really comfortable they run true to size you’re going to see them a lot styled throughout this month they’re going to be probably my go-to pair of sandals the creamy beige shirt the olive green pants the Rafia sandals you’re seeing all these kind of natural and neutral tones they go really well together you can bring in that neutral beige crossbody woven bag or you can wear it as a shoulder bag the woven Brown tote any of those are going to work and I do want to reiterate while I am listing everything that I’m sharing with you in the order in which they show up here it’s too hard to number everything this time there’s just so much going on but it’ll all be listed down in the description box and pinned to the top of the comments in the order in which I’m sharing it so if you are interested in getting exactly what I’m showing you that information is there but I also picked all of these things because I have a feeling you have a lot of similar items already in your closet so do not feel like you need to run out and buy all the things this video is also to just spark some ideas and have some fun in your own closet so let’s keep those Olive grain joggers on and surprise we’re bringing back the the shambry shirt like I said this is not rocket science I’m just having fun with this and coming up with all the different ways I can pair all the pieces together so if you have not just olive green pants or any kind of olive green bottom one of the most frequently asked questions I receive is I have an oddly colored pair of pants like orange or purple or multicolored what have you what color top do I wear with it shambry shambry goes with all the things and just to show you how nicely it all pairs with tan and not just beige and the lighter tones I really love these very low wedge espad drils I mean it’s like the denious little wedge nice tan shade now these do come in quite a few other colors as well but I love how the tan looks against the olive green and with the shambry shirt as the sun is coming out let’s move on to the second set very different this is 100% cotton gauze set and while it does come in lots of neutral and less bright colors I decided to go all in with this bright pink and you’re going to see why in just a minute you can wear it as it comes from the package pair it together just a basic pair of flat slides I went with a classic pair of tan sandals you’ve seen these a million times over the years worn on a million people’s feet there’s a reason these are inspired by the Herz sandals these are not they’re not even close these are I believe it’s Sam Edelman everybody has some version of these in their closet they go with everything this pair of shoes will go with every outfit that I already shared and every outfit that I am about to share so one of my favorite color combinations is pink and green so I took the top from the set and paired it back with those olive green jog added my favorite black heel sandals they’re a little bit higher and my brown woven tote and you are looking at my go-to uniform for spring and summer I also want to point out those sunglasses I popped on at the end are my second most worn pair of sunglasses they’re an oversized Aviator style they come in different lenses but I like that very light gradient especially on sort of cloudy days when you need just a little something but not the full-on sunglasses those are fantastic if you want that pink to really pop pair it back with the white jeans that I shared earlier like I said there’s nothing Earth shattering here but I love the pink and white white jeans are going to make any color top that you have just pop out and look that much brighter and crisper and more spring or summery if you want to make it look even more summery that’s when you start bringing in the Rafia accessories this big oversized Rafia tote Rafia slides that look very much like the brown Sam Edelman slides these are the Amazon version so they’re even more budget friendly and while they do come in the Rafia obviously they do come in all the other colors including the brown leather I don’t know if they’re real leather so if you wanted a more budget friendly option there you go I did want to include one sporty era version so I’m not a sporty girl but if we’re thinking about packing for more sporty things you can use the shorts from this set and bring in just a basic ribbed tank top I love this it comes in a set of three with different colors I like that it’s ribbed it adds a little more interest with the texture I like that it is regular bra friendly and I love navy blue and pink together I like pink and green and pink and blue I think they look really cute there are those white sneakers that I’ve been talking about I don’t have a great sporty cross body bag that I love so I’m not going to add one to this outfit and the W moroner does not come with this outfit that is an optional accessory I I don’t necessarily recommend that one I have one other basic hero piece to share with you and it is this t-shirt dress now this is from Spanx it is part of their air Essentials line it does come in quite a few other more neutral colors and a striped version do you need to run out and buy this dress from Spanx that is over $100 for a t-shirt dress no you do not there are a million T-shirt dresses on the market I’ll link a few more budget friendly ones down under this one but why do I like this one specifically and I think it is worth the Splurge if it is in your budget it’s because this material is the air Essentials material which is the miracle material it’s lightweight but it does have some heft to it so it Glides over the lumps the bumps the panty lines the jiggly bits it’s very friend to us so I love it I love that it has some slits on the side for easier movement show a little leg but it’s not too high so you’re not going to feel like you’re going to flash your bits to the world and I also love a t-shirt dress for traveling because when you have to go to the bathroom which is inevitable you just Hike It Up and Go nothing’s dragging on the floor okay so you just wear it as is basic slides super easy not a lot to think about recently I had to run out and take our other dog Wrigley who’s a West Highland white terrier to an early morning vet appointment and I didn’t want to do hair and makeup that early in the morning so I threw this dress on threw on a baseball hat so that we would not notice that I was not wearing any makeup and cover the greasy hair cuz it was a hair day that I hadn’t gotten to yet I threw on my shambry shirt my my go-to the Another Hero piece I wore it as a jacket it was a little cooler in the morning and then as the day progressed after I showered and done my makeup I actually wore it tied around my waist for a little bit and then again you’re seeing the white sneaker so very sporty look so you can wear this shirt all by itself throw on some shoes in a bag you’re good to go you can layer with the hat and the shambry shirt and the white sneaks but if you want to also dress it up a little bit maybe for date night or just because let’s grab that same belt that I have been raving about for many many months and we’re going to cinch it at one of the smaller holes put it around the waist I love how this fabric doesn’t bulk up when you do that you can you don’t even have to blouse it out it just lays really nicely we’re going to swap out the white sneakers for those same black heeled sandals that happen to match the belt if you have tan shoes tan will work to tan belt that’s all good and then I brought back that over the shoulder or even wear a cross body style smaller woven shoulder bag so we have all the things are now coming back together it’s a full circle moment all of our accessories with a completely different outfit so I think Mother Nature is letting me know that it is time to wrap this up we are filming during thunderstorms and rain showers and it’s all good because we could definitely use it but as the sun is starting to fade behind the clouds I’m going to say goodbye thank you so much for hanging out with me today I hope that you had fun
