He went for it. There it is. But man, he does burn out quite a bit. Using the SA… I suppose the correct move here would be to take the OD Shoryu. What do you say? Didn’t that seem like the right play? I see. You can see his creativity on display.

A jab into DR. He’s good at that walking guard. Argh, I’m a doofus. How did I drop that input? I had him on the ropes… Again…? Actually it seems like a lot of people drop that input. Dang it! What a waste… Perhaps I’ll send a chat. Oh, it’s starting.

I don’t think there’s that much of a gap in terms of technique, but nevertheless. I think it’s safe to call him the strongest Ken. He really is good. There were a few things that felt like missed potential. But man… When you’re getting that mixed up…

His mind games during okizeme and after a blocked DR are different every time. He’s always got something up his sleeve. It’s never as simple as just taking the throw. I think I actually made contact on the offensive more times than him, But he’s so good at defense.

He actually made me wonder if I should be playing more like that. It’s not just that he’s good at SF6… It’s more like he’s good at fighting. He’s strong when it comes to the point blank range. Overwhelmingly so. But I sure messed up a lot.

I messed up at some critical moments. That’s gonna bother me. There were about four matches where mistakes determined the outcome. Maybe I leaned in too much. Maybe I played too aggressive against the master. In general, my win rate against Ken is high. But maybe I was overzealous. Still…

It makes me happy that master is so strong. “Did you learn anything?” There wasn’t much tech I didn’t know about, But I was struck by how many gambles he took at close range. Then again, sometimes people just go through phases, so maybe I shouldn’t assume that at face value.

But that left a big impression, anyway. “Do you think it’d be hard to beat AngryBird in a tournament?” Well, if it’s just a FT2 I’m sure I’d win some of the time. Especially in this game. He felt like the strongest guy I’ve ever actually played against.
