50代後半だけどセール参入🇬🇧欲求の赴くままケーキ|92名分おせち

Happy new year. Thank you for your continued support this year. Today it is not an antique shop, but a fashion department store in London. I decided to participate in the New Year’s sale, which is very unusual. Please enjoy making osechi at the end of the year with the cake that British people love.

The roast pork that was supposed to be eaten on Eve was served on Boxing Day (26th). Moreover, after setting the table and cleaning up, it looked like a normal Sunday roast. Only at times like this can it be delicious. The skin was crispy.

Once Boxing Day is over, our family goes straight into New Year’s food mode. And this amount is enough for over 90 people! I can’t finish it in one or two days, so I’m busy with shopping and cooking every day. Black bean. I always bring back a certain number of beans from Japan, but

Unfortunately this year the quality of the beans was not good and many had broken skins. It takes hours to soften in two large iron pots. Gomame, small sardine. That’s an amazing number of fish. This almost never fails. Herring roe. It wasn’t as chewy as the Japanese ones, but it was good quality.

You can get it at fish shops in the UK. Isn’t that surprising? Kinton. The sweet potatoes were in the best condition in recent years, with little streaks and bitterness. In bad years, I may have to repurchase. I was glad that there was less waste from peeling the skin too thickly than necessary.

I prepared about 6 kg. Just looking at this, I don’t understand anything. Kohaku Namasu. The radish wasn’t bad either… It’s quite a task to cut into 5 strips. I use a slicer only at the beginning and then shred it with a knife. It goes on and on… enough to fill two large bowls.

Reins konnyaku. It doesn’t seem like food. Lotus root. This year, I finally discovered that if you boil them whole and then cut them, they won’t break . I boiled it first and then simmered it, but since I had some precious clear soy sauce, I used it to give it a whitish finish.

Kelp rolls. This is also a bit of a tedious job, but I guess I’ve gotten used to it. It’s a strange-colored cooking thread, but I’m using it because it doesn’t break like dried gourds and I can cut it later.

Fried egg. Since I can’t get hanpen and it’s a lot of work to make date rolls, I ask them to give me omelette instead. Matsukazeyaki is almost always a failure. Although it is not a major osechi item, it is often given to children.

Shrimp. It doesn’t require much effort as all you have to do is boil it. However, there are 100 fish. It’s not limited to shrimp. Sometimes the head comes off, so I have extra. I’ve mostly finished it the day before, and plan to boil it back on New Year’s Eve.

I’m trying to make it as fair as possible by arranging the cut pieces for four people like this . It also takes time to pack. Of course, my husband is also very active. I’ve been doing this for about 10 years now.

It may be more Japanese than Japanese, but I guess that’s because I live overseas. It is often said that no one makes osechi these days. One pack contains enough for 4 people, and customers come to pick it up on New Year’s Eve. Kazunoko kombu-wrapped cod , Yuan-yaki, Matsukaze-yaki kamaboko, fried egg

With black beans, and seared burdock. Oh, the lid is closed so I can’t see what’s inside. Red and white Namasu sesame chashu pork and salt-steamed duck with candied simmered chestnut kinton is a masterpiece, isn’t it? Each set is delivered in a paper bag.

After this, I ate New Year’s Eve Ramen with my friends and had a relaxing New Year’s Eve. It’s around noon on New Year’s Day, but I’ll open my New Year’s box and chat with my Japanese family on Line. This is a mistake that happens almost every year, but

We end up running out of osechi and end up with a lot of leftovers (bitter smile), so we end up handing out beautiful items to our customers, so it inevitably happens. Isn’t there a lot of gaps? When lined up one by one, it looks like this.

This, zoni, and rice will fill you up. It’s New Year’s Day, where you can spend the whole day just eating rice. My friends gave me a gift card as a thank you for hosting a Christmas party .

The e-gift from my husband was also at the same department store, so we went shopping on the 2nd!! Unfortunately, it was raining, but this was the only day we could go out, so we went out with enthusiasm. This is probably the first time I’ve ever gone shopping during a rare sale.

I don’t really like crowds and I don’t like poor people’s bargains. However, there is something I would like to buy, so I will do my best. Despite the rain, there was a good turnout. Selfridges is a department store specializing in fashion.

The main items are high-end brands, but there are also some affordable items. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t usually shop at places like this, I can’t. Come to think of it, some of my cosmetics were out of stock, and there were a lot of things I was concerned about.

There are many temptations, but what I want to buy is not this bag, that bag, or these sunglasses. I’m also attracted to shoes that are less than half the price, but I was looking for boots rather than shoes. I found it anyway.

I don’t need these flowers. But they say they don’t have regular ones anymore. Give up and pursue another goal. It’s a raincoat. I wanted to see the long coat here. It would have been better if it wasn’t black, but I think it’s okay since it’s the right size.

I wanted a coat that would make me want to go out even in the rain. There are other reasons as well, but I’ll let you know about them here. As I left the department store with my yellow paper bag ready to go home,

I came across a store that also had boots from this brand. Perhaps it’s a little-known spot, but unlike other stores, it’s empty. I was confused about the orange short boots on the right, but I’m currently looking for long ones. I said to myself and chose black long boots, although they are ordinary.

Even though I wasn’t expecting it, it was a sale price. I was lucky. Since I was wearing rain boots, I ended up with a large bag, but since it was raining, I just wore them and went home. I enjoyed sale shopping as much as the young people.

In the past, I feel like I was often dazzled by discount prices and ended up buying things I didn’t need. I almost gave in to temptation a few times this time, but each time I was able to purchase it as planned, saying to myself, “Raincoat, rain boots!”

At the beginning of the new year, it’s still cold and rainy in the UK, but I’d like to go out in good spirits. Well, today’s British sweet is sticky toffee pudding. I was shocked when I first learned of its existence. This is often accompanied by ice cream, and

I thought it was a cake that could be made according to one’s desires. Obviously Takai’s has more calories, but unfortunately… it’s very delicious. It’s not that difficult to make, so I’d be happy if you could try it. Date is the fruit of the date

Palm (different from jujube), and is a dried fruit that is ripened while still on the tree and is highly nutritious and is expected to have beauty effects. Unsalted butter Brown sugar Eggs Golden syrup Vanilla paste Self-raising flour Add the pitted dates to the hot water. Baking soda is interesting, it makes it fluffy.

Double cream unsalted butter in the oven While the brown sugar cake is still warm, pour the hot sauce over it. I think a refreshing straight tea would go better with this than milk tea. The cake alone is delicious enough, but… it’s really delicious

When topped with a cream-based sauce that doesn’t hold back on the sweetness at all (!!) It’s really delicious!! This is perfect for chilly winters, and you should try it once a year. I don’t feel satisfied unless I eat. If I can’t get dates, I’d like to try using other dried fruits instead.

At the end of the year, we had a look at New Year’s Eve, shopping, and an introduction to British sweets. I would be very happy if you enjoyed it. This year we will be introducing antiques, everyday life, and British sweets, so please take a look. Happy new year to all of you.
