Today we need to talk about Jin talking about what was almost the end of BTS. We need to get into Jimin’s family getting threats apparently over a dating rumor. And then we have Bang PD coming out, getting praised and what happened there. So hey Dumplings, it’s Dave Disci.

A way that we’ve never seen before. And I have no idea if this is because we miss BTS so much or whatever it is but it absolutely feels very different. It doesn’t feel the same as the other behind the scenes documentaries that they have put out, it feels juicier.

There was a moment that recently went viral in a good way with Bang PD and he is earning a lot of praise. So what happened? It seemed like Bang PD had invited the BTS members either to his home or someone’s

Home and Bang was telling each of the members about the success of HYBE. He talked about what new direction each member would like to take and said that the company can afford to take those new directions now that it’s super successful. And specifically mentioned this idea of having bigger wishes.

He specifically mentions something, I don’t think a lot of producers and record labels mention which is finding happiness. Because at the end of the day, that’s why we do anything. We think that we’d be happier if we were rich instead of poor, so we go to school or go to work.

We think we’d be happier with a lover so we go on dating apps, you get the point. And so what would be the point of BTS’ huge success if it weren’t to find happiness. Bang PD continued during his segment to talk about how BTS should not be working at the

Pace that they are working at as they will very soon become extremely burnt out. He even talks about how a lot of big celebrities don’t make it. And by this Bang probably meant self unaliving situation or drugs and that sort of thing. Which is very common among celebrities.

And this makes a lot of sense why Bang would ultimately be concerned. As someone who has known BTS for so long, he would’ve of course developed a connection. And then from a business standpoint, he isn’t going to want his talent to be unhealthy or gone.

People were very excited to hear that Bang had this thought process and were talking about how much they have the utmost respect for him. However, this is funny to me because just yesterday, the day before, and even the day

Before that, everyone was up in arms about how Bang is a terrible person and how HYBE is extorting BTS and overworking them. And just the whole nine yards. In fact, it’s so random that nothing could happen in the news that day and then you’ll

See Bang PD trending with people telling him to go die because they think he’s overworking BTS. Even though they’re in the military. However, after this video, I didn’t see a “apologize to HYBE” trend. Can we make that happen?

Because I’ve said so before, the pushing of an artist is them doing that to themselves. A label can be like “you are indebted to us a million dollars”, but if that artist or idol doesn’t really care about being famous anymore or being a singer anymore, they won’t push themselves.

For example, let’s say it’s a girl idol. You can’t legally stop her from eating, you can’t drag her legs and force her in the dance room and even if you do, you can’t force to dance when she is in the dance room. Because you can’t touch her.

So if you see an idol really sort of taking on the pressure it’s because they care. It’s not just a label forcing them. No one is forcing them to be famous. So in this case with BTS, you can see the label could do a little pushing but ultimately

The drive, the commitment, and just everything are all things that BTS has innately and they don’t need someone behind their back forcing them to work, they will automatically do it. The documentary also shared some very high stake moments that were happening.

One of the biggest fears for any artist or creative person is becoming a sort of one hit wonder. Obviously the timeline in which this documentary was taking place, BTS was well past a one hit wonder as they already had many hits under their belt.

But they were still not that big yet, and they didn’t want to lose the momentum of that. RM talked about how BTS was feeling right after Boy In Luv. They were all feeling like they were in the clouds with how successful the song was compared

To anything else they ever did but artists can never enjoy that feeling for too long as they don’t want to just have that one hit and then the next one flop. And as big as an artist can get, they can still create a song that won’t do as well.

RM also talked about how if the next single doesn’t hit, they fear that would negatively affect the company. HYBE was definitely not public at the time but they could have had investors. And investors look at things like how an artist follows up after their hit and things like that.

BTS followed up with their song Danger, and they ended up not only not winning first during an award show. But the song apparently left the charts in just one day. So they got a lot of initial traction from ARMY but then the song didn’t appeal to

A lot of people outside the fandom and ultimately wasn’t one of their biggest hits. RM talked about how this was a bit of a big fear for them that came true. And a lot of these sorts of issues happen when people are first starting.

Getting people to care is a constant battle, selling things. Everything. Jin then also talked about how Boy In Luv’s success was dropping and then Danger wasn’t hitting, and apparently around the same time the company was facing financial difficulty. So it was a big lose situation. And that’s usually what happens right?

When one bad thing happens, everything happens. Jin was basically thinking, and I’m sure the rest of BTS was too, that it was over. This was the end of BTS. As the label probably wouldn’t have enough resources to keep going and the boys didn’t have as big of a hit to save the company.

The boys ultimately felt very frustrated as they felt their success had taken way too long to achieve. And they were experiencing burnout, and also arguing with each other a lot. And interestingly enough how life tests people, right after Danger, they released “The Most

Beautiful Moment In Life” and we know how that ended up. The songs became so wildly successful that even to this day those songs remain iconic and well played still. Should they have given up after Danger, they would’ve never seen the success that they got. Success is a long game.

You can look at other people and compare yourself to others and say that a 7 year old has completely surpassed your level of success and then you’re angry. However, those who grow very fast will also not remain there. And those who very slowly worked their way up, they tend to have more longevity.

This is not like a superstitious thing, this is just because they would have more experience and know how to deal with any situation thrown at them as opposed to those who were successful overnight, they don’t have enough time to understand the industry.

The key is to find some way to sustain yourself so that you don’t give up. I don’t personally think that I am successful but even to get to where I am here which is not that far at all. It took me almost 10 years.

I have videos on here that are like almost 10 years old. I’ve been doing this for that long. The channel only picked up like 4 years ago. This is also why it’s so sad when I hear that idols that have been working for so long are getting hate.

Because people aren’t understanding that the sheer act of not giving up is already something that is so difficult to do. And especially to get threats or attacks which no one deserves. Jimin’s family was apparently getting threats according to some fans online.

I was very shocked to hear this but then it makes sense because Jimin’s dad is actually somewhat a public figure. Jimin’s dad owns a cafe and so he is visible and people can reach out to him. While it makes sense for KPop, it’s not something logical to have happen to anyone.

So what were the threats about? Well recently there’s been some interactions between Taehyung and Jimin. The ship is called VMin, mashing both names together. And they recently posted a video of them hanging out and doing silly things at HYBE’s studio.

Now because Jimin interacts with both Taehyung and Jung Kook separately, anytime he interacts with either one, there’s another subset of shippers who are upset. I want to preface not everyone in that subset, just the rare and really intense ones. And this is the Jung Kook and Taehyung shippers.

They get upset when Jimin hangs out with either two because they think that Jimin is coming in between Jung Kook and Taehyung and ruining their relationship. Which is insane because not only has Taehyung and Jung Kook not been confirmed, Jimin and either of them have not ever been confirmed.

So it’s crazy to think anything like home wrecking or relationship wrecking is happening there. However, it gets crazier because due to the belief Jimin has been getting such severe death threats for being near Taehyung. And people think that they’re kissing or dating.

And then the threats have gone as far as going to Jimin’s father. And these threats are due to something someone made up in their head. They made up a love triangle in their head and then are now telling someone to go die. I can’t explain how crazy this is.

And you can have a belief that members are dating or sleeping with each other, you’re entitled to think whatever but none of it has even been proven or addressed by them. And for a completely innocent person like Jimin’s father, who isn’t even involved, to get hate? Wild.
