Dear Japanese people, please help me find that series! I have been looking for it for so long but, unfortunately, couldn’t find it anywhere. I thought it might be a good idea if I could find a Japanese native speaker or someone who can write and read in Japanese and ask them to help me look for this series on Japanese websites. If someone can help me out, I’ll really appreciate it.

I also looking for the complete DVD sets. or I have checked NHK on demand. but all effort was in vain. 2 sets of VHS tape seems to be available.

This is a link for sel DVD. But unfortunately , only Japanese version is available. I must find out DVD or BD before traveling over to Hokkaido.

I watched this series many years ago on a television station, KTSM in San Mateo, California USA. KTSM played Fuji TV Saturday evenings and NHK TV on Sunday evenings. Fortunately for me, many shows had English subtitles. I believe it was 1997-1998 when Suzuran played. I was stunned to see such a beautiful drama. The quality of acting, the wonderful cinematography; it was almost as if every scene was meant to be a work of art. It was then I discovered that Japanese programming surpassed what I am used to seeing in my country. I wish that I had been able to copy Suzuran to share with people I love. I think they would be happy to see the story of Moe and her loving adoptive guardian and watch the story as she grew into a kind young woman after all the hardship she went through. I remember this so fondly even though it was more than 20 years ago!
Since then, it has been a dream of mine to find Suzuran on DVD. I keep searching, but I never have had success. I feel like Héidi Adams, that also posted her comment here, because I am hoping someone, maybe a friendly Japanese man or woman can help direct me to where I can purchase Suzuran. I would feel content to be able to watch Suzuran again. If anyone has a suggestion that they think would lead me in the right direction, it would be very heartwarming and you would have my sincere gratitude if you could let me know, please. I'm also finding this Japanese series many years. I watched this series during SARS 2003 when I was isolated in a hotel. This series is also a present that NHK offer to Chinese government.

I use to watch this when i was 14 year old through tv al-hijrah in Malaysia. So sad thinking that, Malaysia tv station is lack of beautiful drama like this today.
