I saw this movie on a massive IMAX screen so that I could fully enjoy the spectacular animation of Mobile Suits (MS). Before seeing it, I watched “Char’s Counterattack” and the previous movie for background knowledge.
However, it was so hard for me to follow all the details because there were so many characters and unfamiliar locations. Still, the MS battles were very exciting. I also liked how the movie depicted Hathaway’s internal conflict through the contrast between not only Amuro Ray and Lane Aim, but also Nu Gundam and Penelope.

Even if you don’t understand every detail or aren’t a big fan of Gundam, this movie is worth seeing in IMAX for its visuals and music. I highly recommend it to everyone.
