ディズニープラス スターにて2025年9月10日(水)から独占配信中の『北極星』が、ディズニープラスで2025年最も視聴された作品に躍り出た。
チョン・ジヒョン×カン・ドンウォン共演のスペクタクル・ロマンス『北極星』が、Disney+ (ディズニープラス) スターにて、9月10日(水)より独占配信中。（全9話／初回3話配信、以降毎週水曜2話ずつ）
本作は、韓国の女性大統領候補と“秘密”を抱えた脱北者の孤独なふたりが立場を超えて惹かれ合う”許されぬ愛”と、南北朝鮮に迫る脅威によって翻弄される彼らの運命を描いたスペクタクル・ロマンス。
大統領候補の妻で外交官のムンジュにチョン・ジヒョン、ボディガードとして雇った脱北者の男・サンホをカン・ドンウォンが演じ、監督には「愛の不時着」で共同監督を務め、「涙の女王」もヒットに導いたキム・ヒウォン、「犯罪都市 PUNISHMENT」のホ・ミョンヘン、脚本は「シスターズ」を手掛けたチョン・ソギョンと、豪華キャストの共演と一流のクリエイターが集結した。
9月10日より3話一挙配信されるや、配信開始後わずか5日間で、全世界及びアジア太平洋地域（APAC）のディズニープラスで2025年に最も視聴された韓国発のオリジナル作品“となったことが発表された。

現在第5話まで配信されている『北極星』だが、ムンジュとサンホのロマンスも⼤きくき出した第 4 話・第 5 話の場面写真が⼀挙公開された。
第4話では、謎多いサンホの過去が徐々に明らかになりムンジュの心はますます複雑になっていく中で、暗殺された夫ジュニクの隠された携帯が発⾒されたことでムンジュの心を引き裂くほどの衝撃の事実が判明し幕を閉じた。
第5話では気丈にふるまうも思わず弱音を吐きだすムンジュを、誰にも追跡されない場所へとサンホが連れていくことで⼆⼈の距離が⼀気に近づいて…。
そして、いよいよ来週9月24日（水）に配信の第6話・第7話では、すべてを掌握する⿊幕の正体に徐々に迫っていく。

STORY
南北朝鮮の平和的統一を願う大規模な集会の最中、大統領候補が射殺された。妻で元外交官のムンジュは、夫の遺志を継ぎ、自らが政党の大統領候補として出馬を決意する。
そして夫の死の真相を追い始めるが、やがて自身も何者かに命を狙われることに…
