プログラムノート（藝祭公演で配布したものより）
この曲は、『調布国際音楽祭2024 ワークショップ「新しい音楽をつくる」vol.3』のために作曲した断章である。テーマとして、「舞踊」が与えられていたことや、調布という地のゆかりの人物、私自身にとって超えられない存在である過去の大作曲家の存在などがこの曲の背後にはある。
このワークショップでは、金子仁美先生の他に、細川俊夫先生、藤倉大先生、鈴木優人先生からも鋭い視点のお言葉をいただき、大変貴重な経験になった。
本日は、この断章を「演奏会」の形で披露することができ、大変うれしく思います。みなさまと今日、「作曲の喜び」を少しでも共有できますように！
「舞踊」について
「舞踊とは何だろう…」と作曲を始める前に辞書で引いたところ、どうやら「舞」と「踊り」の合成語らしいことがわかった。それぞれ、地を這うように動く「舞（=旋回音型で表現）」と、跳ねる動きが特徴の「踊（=跳躍音型で表現）」である。この2つが対になって、あるいは混ざり合って聞こえるように、各所で用いられる。
「ゲゲゲの」の由来について
東京都調布市は、「ゲゲゲの鬼太郎」で知られる水木しげるさんが住んでいた街。名誉市民の称号を送るなど、街ぐるみで盛り上げていることを知ったことと、書いてゆく内に旋回音型がだんだんおどろおどろしいものに聴こえてきたことが相まって、今回はタイトルに「ゲゲゲの」を拝借させていただいた。
過去の大作曲家について
この断章には、ベートーヴェンの交響曲からの引用がある。また、BACH音型も使われている。

This is a program note from the one distributed at the Geijutsu Festival performance.
This piece was composed for the “Chofu International Music Festival 2024 Workshop ‘Making New Music’ vol. 3.” It is inspired by the theme of “dance,” the people associated with the Chofu area, and the great composers of the past who have had a profound impact on my life.
In this workshop, I benefited from the insights of Ms. Hitomi Kaneko and Mr. Toshio Hosokawa, Mr. Dai Fujikura, and Mr. Masato Suzuki.
I am delighted to present this section as a concert today. I hope to share the joy of composition with you all!
Now, let’s talk about “Dance.”
Before I started composing, I looked up the word “buyo” in the dictionary and found that it is a compound word of “mai” and “odori.” The two words are “dance” and “odori,” respectively. “Mai” is expressed in a circling form, while “odori” is expressed in a leaping form. These two are used in various places to sound like a pair or a mixture of the two.
I am going to tell you about the origin of “GeGeGe no”
Chofu City, Tokyo, is the hometown of Shigeru Mizuki, the creator of “GeGeGe no Kitaro.” I learned that the entire city is making efforts to make it more lively, such as by bestowing him with honorary citizenship. As I wrote the title, the swirling sound pattern gradually became more and more frightening, so I decided to borrow “GeGeGe no” for the title of this piece.
I’d now like to talk about some of the great composers of the past.
This section features quotations from Beethoven’s symphonies and the BACH tone pattern.
