  1. i mean…you just explained how it was tournament legal so there is really no question that it is lol..?

  2. Casual gamers:”Man, I gotta get a controller to play SF on my PC, it is so much better with the directional and sticks…” – Daigo:”Buttons, only buttons, no stick! NO! Stick, no!”

  3. Here's how I feel the real situation is with hitbox controllers, it is really up to the people who are going to be competing against that at the highest levels, if his competitors are okay with him using it then I think it's fine, if everyone feels like it's an unfair advantage then for the sake of sportsmanship perhaps he should use a regular controller, but if his competitors don't mind competing against it then I think it's fine

  4. Is it tournament legal? You said it is, so sure.
Should it be is the real question though. Personally I'm not a fan of having multiple inputs generated from a single button press. It opens up a pretty big box of custom controllers to make combos/moves easier.

  5. Video guy: explains how it is tournament legal
Also the video guy: Do you think it’s tournament legal ?

  6. Lmao you literally just explained how it is legal and followed that up with, “Do you think it’s legal?” Wut. 😅

  7. No it shouldn't be legal there should be a diago rule that says diago is too good at street fighter and should have to use a dance pad for movement and a NES controller that a dog bit through half of the cord for attack buttons

  8. I mean if you're a tournament player, you gota optimise anything u can without breaking the rules, which is what he did.

  9. Any controller that isn't performing inputs for the player is fine being tournament legal as far as I'm concerned.
Even the 11 button rule seems arbitrary. I'd never lose to a guy and go "he beat me because of that damn extra button!"

  10. If it follows all the rules, then yes, it's tournament legal. Unless there's a rule stated that wasn't presented that doesn't allow for macros

  11. Fighting games have too many bizarre time stopping button combos now. Whatever it takes to be able to do this stuff in game I guess but I still only enjoy a game if the buttons are mapped in a way where you can feel like you don't need shortcuts to do the moves.

  12. I feel like the more players that use a custom controller tailored for their own play style, the more interesting battles would be to watch. I would allow players to play better at their own strengths and, as long as everyone follows the same rules set by the fgc, it will serve to increase the skill ceiling
