Snow Man 向井康二が、6月21日に29歳の誕生日を迎えた。20代最後の1年、ここから向井のパブリックイメージが少しずつ変化していく兆しが見えつつある。
向井はこれまでグループきってのバラエティ担当として、数々のテレビ番組に出演。時にはアイドルらしからぬ体を張った企画で多くの笑いを生み出してきた。お笑い芸人・ダイアン 津田篤宏率いる「津田軍団」の一員であることも公言しており、津田のギャグ「ゴイゴイスー」「スーを差し上げます」を自らの持ちネタのごとく喧伝。より幅広い世代に定着させる一端を担ってきた。また、自ら考案した「もみあげ手裏剣」「動脈ピース」「オッケーカフ」などのポージング（本人いわくギャグ）がSNSを中心にトレンドになるなど、キャッチーな笑いで認知を広げてきたイメージも大きい。
