My theory is that Sukuna’s soul is tied to the Malevolent Shrine that is present in both his innate domain and domain expansion. To become the most powerful he made a binding vow of some sort to make him the strongest by amping his domain’s power, range, etc at the cost of if the Shrine is destroyed so is he. This could also explain how he didn’t die initially as he was just defeated/stalled and sealed as they could never take out the Shrine for one reason or another.

Yuji gonna swap souls with sukuna so it will be megumi and yuji in one body against sukuna In yujis body

I think Gojo can perceive the soul. The fact that he was able to trigger getos soul to take action in shibuya. On top of the points you made make it seem that way at least. And the fact he distinguished between Sakunas CR and Yujis growth in CE in the goodwill event arc also points to that being the case. But who knows

I would like to touch up on this theory as its a good one. I don't think Gojo will be the one to KILL Sukuna or weaken him far enough to have him stripped from Megumi. I believe this task falls on Yuji especially with his theories revolving around the soul. Yuji is the only other character in the series who has a strong link to the concept of SOULS in the series. Another point I would like to add as a possibility is that Gojo already reaching a point of enlightenment might experience another enlightening moment where he can store souls similar to Kenjaku does when reincarnating sorcerers from the past. So in a perfect world using this theory, Gojo and Sukuna fight. Sukuna wins ultimately in the end against Gojo or does he? Gojo's main plan being to find a loophole in sukuna's soul defensive abilities and passes on this information to his students who he believes will surpass him. Once this information has been observed and understood by the JJK high students. They finish where Gojo left off now knowing all of Sukuna's abilities, counters, and weaknesses. Angel could still be used for jacobs ladder but knowing this probably wont work a second time on Sukuna as most things never do, It's up to YUJI itadori the real winner in this scenario to deal the damaging soul crushing blows to Sukuna or trap sukuna's soul long enough for ANGEL to do her thing. Megumi being his own individual soul will be stored or preserved in some way or fashion and resurrected using the methods similar to KENJAKU's technique of reviving ancient sorcerers. This would make sense also because we know these sorcerers can also use their own appearance if they wish to. Meaning megumi technically can keep his fan favorite look or get a new visual if he so desires.

This theory is pretty dumb, it all hinges on if megumi would enter his innate domain if not for sukunas influence. When yuta killled yuji there was no innate nonsense or anything just an instant heal after technical death to get around the vow. If this was actually the case then most deaths would be reversible if you got there fast enough like nanami and such. I mean its an interesting concept but relys on head canon more than actually displayed canon details. Imo what will happen is if yuji does have soul swap, he will swap out sukunas soul and allow everyone else to destroy his body whilst he brings megumi out of evil and then leaves his body effectively dying. I dont see any other end to the series tbh. The concersation between yuji and megumi would be so touchig 😢😢

I also think we are missing something with mahito. Kenjaku got him and his powers(assuming the powers part). I think there is somthing with the soul there

Isnt this kinda of impossible though since it was stated that the only reason yuji was able to revive was because he died without the use jujutsu and gojo cant kill sukuna without that

I think that’s why gojo kept his last finger. So he can have him eat it, and have sukuna be revived and should be able to revive megumi as well.(this time as one finger)
