Snow Man・向井康二が、6月3日にジャニーズ事務所公式モバイルサイト・Johnny’s webのブログ「すの日常」を更新。前日に放送された出演番組『中居正広の金曜日のスマイルたちへ』（TBS系、以下『金スマ』）の内容に触れる中で、ファンに“異例のお願い”をつづった。
2日の『金スマ』は、過去の放送で盛り上がった一幕や、未公開映像などをオンエア。前半は、Snow Manが約2年半ぶりに登場した4月14日放送回を振り返った。向井は3日付のブログで『金スマ』をチェックしたと報告。「ちょっと真面目な話してもいい!?」（原文ママ、以下同）と切り出し、自身やグループでバラエティ番組に出演した際、見ているファンには「笑ってほしい」と正直な気持ちを伝えた。
「向井は『金スマ』内で、ラウールが自分の話をしていた場面に言及。というのも、ラウールは『裏表があると思うメンバーは？』という質問に対し、向井の名前を挙げていたんです。『プライベートはかなり二枚目』だとして、向井の自宅でのエピソードや、Johnny’s webのブログのコンセプトについて語っていました」（ジャニーズに詳しい記者）
