Speaking of summer, I remember once talking with a Tesan on an American textboard.
I tried to explain to him how hot the summer in Japan is, saying, ' The temperature over here exceeds more than 30ﾟC almost all through summer. '
I was a bit worried if I got me through cuz I knew they use F instead of C.
A few minutes later, he responded mockingly, ' It's not that hot . The temperature in Texas exceeds over 40ﾟC.
We can cook a sunny-side-up egg on the hood of a car in the daytime.'
I was mortified and wanted to talk back to him.
Sad to say, I didn't have such a good command of English back then.
So I ran away from him with a parting shot.
' I'll get even with you someday.'

最近は本当に暑いです。熱中症にもなりますし、体調も崩してしまいがちです。
