前シーズン、地元紙の酷評により経営危機に瀕した「ザ・ベア」。出資者から「2か月で改善せよ」という過酷なタイムリミットを突きつけられたカーミーは、強引な改革を断行した。しかしチームは崩壊の危機を迎え、カーミー自身も衝撃的な決断を下す。物語は、鳴り響くアラームだけが残された、あの静まり返った厨房から新たな朝を迎える。カーミーが去った店を引き継いだのは、副料理長のシドニーと、共同オーナーである姉のナタリー。資金は底を突き、売却の影が忍び寄る激しい嵐の中、リッチーらスタッフたちは、ミシュランの星獲得という至高の目標に向け、再び立ち上がる。
物語を牽引するのは、カーミー役のジェレミー・アレン・ホワイト、副料理長のシドニーを演じるアイオウ・エディバリー、そして複雑な過去を背負ったリッチー役のエボン・モス＝バクラックら、シリーズの顔となる俳優たち。彼らが極限の厨房で繰り広げる、泥臭くも美しいチームの絆こそが本作の魂だ。
