40年代ハリウッドのフィルム・ノワールの雰囲気を投影した
「スパイダーマン」のドラマシリーズ

原作はマーベル・コミック「スパイダーマン・ノワール」。テレビシリーズ初主演のニコラス・ケイジが、ベテランながら不運に見舞われている私立探偵ベン・ライリー役に。ケイジは、ハリー・ブラッドビア（「Fleabag フリーバッグ」）、オーレン・ウジエル（『ザ・ロストシティ』）、スティーヴ・ライトフット（「Marvel パニッシャー」）らと共に製作総指揮を務めている。ウジエルとライトフットは、同じく製作総指揮に名を連ねる『スパイダーマン：スパイダーバース』のフィル・ロード、クリストファー・ミラー、エイミー・パスカルのチームと本シリーズを開発した。

異次元のニューヨークはまるで1930年代。かつてヒーロー“スパイダー”として活躍した元兵士のベン（ケイジ）は婚約者を失ってヒーロー業から去り、しがない私立探偵をしていた。そこで悪の大物シルバーメイン（ブレンダン・グリーソン）に頼まれ、炎を起こす能力を持つ謎の男を探すのを手伝うことに。だが町には悪徳警官も多く、ついに町を守るスーパーヒーロー“スパイダー”として復帰しようと決心し……。

1940〜50年代に流行したモノクロの犯罪映画“フィルム・ノワール”をスタイリッシュになぞった、往年のギャング映画の要素が強い、痛快スリリング編だ。

見どころ1：カラー版とモノクロ版の両方で配信

本作は、カラー版とモノクロ版の両方で配信。これはケイジの提案だったそう。公式インタビューによれば、モノクロ映画に馴染みのない若い世代にとって、白黒の映像はそれだけで距離を感じさせるかもしれないと考えたとのこと。カラー版では単純に色をつけるのではなく、後から着色されたクラシック映画のような質感を目指した。

見どころ2：吹替版のキャスティングも絶妙

『〜スパイダーバース』では声で出演をしていたケイジが、本作では主人公として登場。アメコミの大ファンで（日本の「まんだらけ」に来たことも）、本作でもベン・ライリー役をノリノリで快演している。また日本語吹替版では、今まで多数の映画でケイジの声を演じてきた大塚明夫が吹替を担当。これも、絶妙なキャスティングだ。

注目キャラクター：ベン・ライリー（ニコラス・ケイジ）

かつてはヒーローの“スパイダー”だったが、1930年代のニューヨークで私立探偵をしている。第一次世界大戦中、兵士だったが、その時のつらい体験がトラウマになっている。クモのような糸を操るなどの能力がある。

「探偵R・J・デッカー」

スコット・スピードマン主演の犯罪ミステリー。フロリダ。元フォトジャーナリストのデッカー（スピードマン）は18カ月も刑務所で暮らしたが、出所後は私立探偵の道へ。彼は次々と難事件の謎に挑んでいく。すでにシーズン2への継続が決まっている。

「マン・オン・ファイア」

デンゼル・ワシントン主演『マイ・ボディガード』として映画化された小説「燃える男」をドラマ化したアクション。元特殊部隊員のクリーシー（ヤーヤ・アブドゥル＝マティーン2世）は、ブラジルで友人の娘ポー（ビリー・ブーレ）を守ろうと戦う。

「捜索者の血」

サム・ワーシントン主演のサスペンスアクション。デヴィッド（ワーシントン）は息子を殺したという無実の罪で刑務所へ。だが5年後、息子が生きていると知って衝撃を受ける。原作者は「シェルター」などドラマ化された小説が多いハーラン・コーベン。

「グッド・オーメンズ　シリーズ最終回」

マイケル・シーンとデヴィッド・テナントが天使アジラフェルと悪魔クロウリーという迷コンビを演じる人気ファンタジーが事実上のシーズン3となる最終話でフィナーレへ。数千年にわたる友情はアジラフェルが天界に復帰したことで大きく揺らぎ……。
