I'm so thankful that she was able to end her career with another gold medal and an unexpected bronze on beam. She's gonna be missed and when Japan is eventually on the level of the Big 3 (which come on, its inevitable), we have gymnasts like her to thank for it.
I remember when people first started noticing her and they were writing her off left, right and centre saying "she'll burn out before turning senior" because she was doing really hard gymnastics at a very young age. But whilst it took her a while to start seeing results, she proved a lot of people wrong and I hope we'll see many more Japanese WAG having the same kind of success because of the precedent she set!
