イントロダクション
あの頃夢中になった映画を、自分たちの手で作れたら──。本作は、そんな夢を叶える中年映画オタクたちの物語。1997年公開のモンスター・パニック『アナコンダ』を題材とした、単なるリメイクや続編ではない異色のコメディだ。全世界興行収入は１億ドルを超える大ヒットを記録しており、待望の日本上陸だ。
物語の中心は、青春時代にいっしょに映画作りに打ち込んだ幼なじみたち。かつて描いた夢とは違う場所にいる彼らが、大好きだった映画『アナコンダ』の自主リメイクに挑む。アマゾンのジャングルで撮影を始めるが、映画さながら巨大アナコンダに襲われ、楽しい時間は決死のサバイバルへと変わっていく！
W主演をジャック・ブラック（『マインクラフト／ザ・ムービー』）とポール・ラッド（「アントマン」シリーズ）というハリウッドきっての人気コメディ俳優が務め、タンディウェ・ニュートン（『レミニセンス』）、スティーヴ・ザーン（「ホワイト・ロータス／諸事情だらけのリゾート」）、セルトン・メロ（『アイム・スティル・ヒア』）、ダニエラ・メルシオール（『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結”』）と映画ファンも唸る面々が共演。さらにここでは明かせないシークレットなキャストも控えている。
監督は『マッシブ・タレント』でニコラス・ケイジ愛を炸裂させたトム・ゴーミカン。同作に続きケヴィン・エッテンと共同で脚本も手掛け、映画愛を爆発させながら、モンスター・パニックを中年再起コメディとして再構成している。
ストーリー
結婚式ビデオのディレクター・ダグに、幼なじみの俳優・グリフが持ちかけたのは、かつて自分たちが夢中だった映画『アナコンダ』のリメイク。妻の後押しも向け、ダグはグリフ、そして友人のクレア、ケニーと共に「初めて本物の映画が作れる」と意気揚々にアマゾンへ向かう。ヘビ使いのサンティアゴ、謎の船長アナも交えてジャングルで撮影に精を出す夢のような時間。しかし、ホンモノの巨大アナコンダに襲われ、まさかのサバイバルが開始。さらに、映画作り自体がパーになってしまうような事実も明らかに。彼らは生き延び、そして自分たちの映画を完成させることができるのか？
キャラクター紹介

グリフ（ポール・ラッド）：主演。売れない俳優だが、『アナコンダ』のリメイク権を取得。ドラマ「S.W.A.T.」に出演していたのが自慢。
ダグ（ジャック・ブラック）：監督。結婚式のビデオディレクターとして、たまに映画愛を空回りさせながらも、妻と子と幸せに暮らしている。
クレア（タンディウェ・ニュートン）：ヒロイン役。最も責任感が強い。現在は企業勤めで、有休を使って撮影に来た。グリフの元恋人。
ケニー（スティーヴ・ザーン）：カメラ担当。気は良くて優しい。ダグと同じ会社で働いていたがアルコール関係のトラブルでクビになった。
サンティアゴ（セルトン・メロ）：ヘビ使い。相棒のアナコンダ・エイトールとともに撮影を手伝う。『バガー・ヴァンスの伝説』が好きらしい。
