2026年3月13日(金)日本公開、アカデミー賞®主演男優賞に２度ノミネート、ハリウッド若手俳優で一番の人気を誇るティモシー・シャラメ主演作『マーティ・シュプリーム 世界をつかめ』（原題：Marty Supreme）が、第83回ゴールデングローブ賞で3部門にノミネートされた。

ティモシー・シャラメ 主演最新作 A24製作監督は、『アンカット・ダイヤモンド』(19)で批評家から絶大な評価を受け、クリティクス・チョイス・アワードで監督賞にノミネートされたジョシュ・サフディ。これまで弟のベニー・サフディとともにサフディ兄弟として監督してきたが、『The Pleasure of being Robbed』（08・日本未公開）以来の単独監督作となる。
物語は1950年代のNYを舞台に、実在の卓球選手 マーティ・リーズマンの人生に着想を得た内容。卓球人気の低いアメリカで世界を夢見る天才卓球プレイヤー、マーティ・マウザー。親戚の靴屋で働きながら世界選手権に参加するための資金を稼ぐ。ロンドンで行われた世界選手権で日本の選手に敗れたマーティは、次回日本で行われる世界選手権へ参加し、彼を破って世界一になるために、ありとあらゆる方法で資金を稼ごうとする…。
主役マーティを演じるのはティモシー・シャラメ。『君の名前で僕を呼んで』（17）、『名もなき者／A COMPLETE UNKNOWN』（24）でアカデミー賞®主演男優賞にノミネートされ、人気・実力ともにナンバーワンといっても過言ではないティモシー。先日行われたNY映画祭でサプライズプレミア上映が行われ、「ティモシーのキャリアで最高の演技！」と絶賛の声がSNSで飛び交っている本作で、三度目となるアカデミー賞®ノミネートは確実視されており、悲願の獲得となるか？
共演にはグウィネス・パルトロウ。『アベンジャーズ／エンドゲーム』(19)以来、映画出演は『SHE SAID/シー・セッド その名を暴け』(22)で声の出演のみ。実に６年ぶりのスクリーン復帰となる本作で、引退したアメリカの有名女優ケイを演じる。また、マーティの友人役としてグラミー賞受賞アーティスト、タイラー・ザ・クリエイターが初の演技に挑戦。そのほか、マーティの恋人役にオデッサ・アザイオン、ケイの夫でインク会社の社長ミルトンをケビン・オレアリーが演じる。
日本でも撮影がおこなわれた本作、マーティの最高のライバルとなる日本人選手エンドウ役には、東京2025 デフリンピック 卓球日本代表、川口功人氏(トヨタ自動車)が出演。クライマックスで見せる手に汗握る卓球シーンは本作の一つの見せ場でもある。
この度、第83回ゴールデングローブ賞で、作品賞（ミュージカル・コメディ部門）・主演男優賞（ミュージカル・コメディ部門／ティモシー・シャラメ）・脚本賞の計3部門にノミネートを果たした。授賞式は2026年1月11日（現地時間）に開催予定だ。
今月2日ニューヨーク映画祭（NYFF）にてプレミア上映を実施、Rotten Tomatoesで97%の高評価を獲得し、ティモシーの熱演が評論家を魅了した本作。3日に発表となったニューヨーク映画批評家協会賞（NYFCC）脚本賞の受賞を皮切りに、現在50部門にノミネート、うち5部門を受賞。アカデミー賞®主演男優賞大本命との期待がかけられている。
