大雨の中で女1人軽バン車中泊、ついに念願の内装が完成しました

Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Papa Clipper is finally back from the dead! And of course, for its comeback, I really wanted to do a car-camping night. So today I came out to Chichibu in Saitama. There’s this place called… Splash Garden, an auto-campground. Buuut… unfortunately, it’s raining. Right now I’m just borrowing the bungalow roof and hiding from the rain… Ugh, rain is such a mood killer… First trip after the revival and… I’m already too much of a rain girl… But maybe the sky is crying tears of joy for us? Look, there’s literally no one here except me… *A perfect day for a socially awkward creature like me, nyo.* I thought the autumn leaves season was over, but they’re still so pretty. The vibe is honestly amazing. Alright, let’s check out Papa Clipper’s evolved interior. Also… the rain is insane. It keeps getting stronger… *Looks like it’s gonna be another rainy car-camping night (as usual).* The inside looks like this now. Can you spot what’s changed? Okay, first upgrade— this part. I got an air conditioner! My long-awaited AC—so happy. But this AC… can only do cooling. As you can see, it’s super thin. Like half the size of my palm. Maybe that’s hard to tell on camera though. The ones that can heat and cool are all really thick, so there wasn’t a thin version like this. So when I prioritized space and looks inside the van, I ended up choosing a cooling-only model. So you’re thinking, “Wait, no heater? You’re doomed this season…” Right? You’d think that. But actually, I *do* have a heater. If you push this knob and twist it to the right— you get warm air like this. So nice. The heater works through a little hole in the floor— the warm air blows out from here. Where does *your* warm air come from? Mine comes from the floor. Because, you know… *Yuuka*. The best part about this setup is— I can use the heater even with the engine turned off. *It’s a fuel-powered heater that runs off the car’s gasoline.* Apparently it’s totally fine to keep it running all night long. You can just use it like a normal heater. Until now, for winter I’d buy random heaters off Amazon and stock up on a ridiculous amount of hand warmers. But yeah… this is the real answer to “how not to freeze.” Winter cold problem: officially solved. Okay, onto the second upgrade. Can you tell what it is? If you guessed it, you’re impressive. The answer is… Can you see it? This thing right here. I added a monitor here. This monitor actually folds up. You kind of lift the back part like this— Huge. Isn’t this so cool? *I finally achieved my dream of having a car-camping monitor.* I think it’s around 27 inches. It’s kind of dark inside the car, right? Let me turn on a light too. Now I can play games here, and watch movies—absolute peak life. And of course, this also works with the engine off. It’s powered from my portable power station, so no problem using it at all. Actually, I even hid a special spot here for my Switch. If I plug the Switch in here, I can play on this setup. There are cables running behind the wall, and they’re secretly connected to the back of the monitor. When I turn the monitor on— it lights up like this. Nothing’s plugged in right now, so it says “no signal,” but yeah, that’s how it looks. And the third upgrade— the curtains. I did change the curtains for now, but they’re still kind of temporary. They’re a little different from last time, but— what I really want is something whitish, with a cute floral pattern, and that fits this whole area more snugly. Right now it’s a bit saggy here. *Curtains are basically the “face” of the van, so I like them strong, specific, and extra extra.* For this little window, because of the size, it’s apparently hard to avoid this droopy look. So I’m thinking of switching it to a blind-style curtain instead. Papa Clipper’s not fully recovered yet, it’s still just getting over being sick. So that’s what the reborn Papa Clipper looks like inside. Once you start customizing, you just wanna keep going, you know? No matter how much you do, you’re like “okay next I wanna fix this part…” Ideas just keep popping up. And the more you customize it, the more attached you get. It’s honestly so fun. Oh right—this auto-campground apparently has a river nearby. And it’s supposed to be super pretty. So I’m gonna go take a little walk. Isn’t this vibe actually amazing? You can go down from here and reach the river. Also… it’s freezing. I can see my breath. *Please do NOT try to smell anything through the screen.* There’s a kitchen area here. And apparently it even has hot water! Blessed… And there’s a vending machine next to it. Oh? What’s this… Beer. No, no—obviously I’m not drinking today. Okay, let’s head to the river. I can hear the sound of the water a little bit. Oh wow. This looks like a fun spot to play baseball. *Except I’m short about 17 people so I’ll literally never play.* It’s so misty here. Not sure if the camera can capture it. But because of the heavy mist… it kinda looks like the River Styx. I better not cross it. Winter rivers really are nice. All this negative-ion energy is cleansing my soul. It’d be fun to visit in summer too and chill some watermelon here. It’s cold… let’s go back. Let’s head back to Papa Clipper. Winter rivers are brutal… I’m back from my walk. Maybe because we’re in the mountains, it gets dark insanely fast. It’s only around 5 p.m., but it’s already pitch black outside. I kinda wanna play some Switch. *I want a Switch 2 SO badly but I can’t buy one anywhere and it’s ruining my life.* If I turn on the monitor— it should turn on… Please… It’s on. This is how I get to play Switch in here. Recently I bought Pokémon ZA. And Mario Party, Animal Crossing, Arceus, FALL GUYS, the Watermelon Game— Crayon Shin-chan and lots of other stuff too. I’ll save playing Switch for later, and set up the bed for now. Having a spot where you can just flop down and GORON is super important. Base camp is ready. Now that my sleeping spot’s done, let’s test how well the heater works. I’m not actually going to sleep yet, but— I’ll lie down and see if it’s properly warm. This might be… dangerously comfy. Uh oh… I totally fell asleep… *My special skill is being able to GORON and pass out literally anywhere.* Now I’m getting hungry… I need real food… Next door there’s a hot spring called “Bon no Yu.” Apparently they have a little restaurant inside too. So I think I’ll have dinner there tonight. I’m so hungry right now that honestly, if you gave me curry and udon and pizza and rice— I feel like I could eat it all. Anyway, I’m gonna go grab some food. Chichibu Kawabata Onsen – Bon no Yu. I’ve made it to Bon no Yu. I ordered the tonkatsu set meal. They also had ramen and curry and a bunch of other stuff, but there was only one lady working in the kitchen, so I felt kind of bad ordering too much. So I settled for just tonkatsu today. Gonna eat katsu and KATSU (win) against the cold. Itadakimasu. This looks so good. Freshly fried and super crispy. I haven’t eaten anything since this morning, so my appetite is exploding. If there were more staff ladies, I probably would’ve ordered endlessly. From where my car is parked, it took about five minutes on foot to get here. Super close. The entrance fee here was about ¥1,000, so roughly $6.40 for one adult. And it includes the hot spring, so I’m thinking of going in for a soak later. But you can’t re-enter once you leave. They’re open until 10 p.m., and you can get in the bath until about 9:45 p.m. *Just like life, there’s no going back once you pass that point.* Oh, and apparently there’s also a hot spring nearby that dogs can go in. A place where dogs can go in too is so cute. I wanna bring a dog here someday. Recently, one of my relatives started keeping a golden retriever. It is insanely cute. It’s still really tiny, so I told them, “If she has puppies someday, I’ll be waiting.” And golden retrievers are so smart, so taking one to a place like this together would be really fun. I bet they’d have the best time playing around. Honestly, the dog might be smarter than me… *I want one that will bark at me and scold me if I start drinking beer.* Thank you for the meal. It was seriously delicious. Alright, time to go take a bath. I just finished my bath! All warmed up now. I brought this towel from home, and I’m really glad I did. Buying a towel here costs like ¥450 — about $2.90, so I saved some money. Lucky me. Alright… from here on, it’s adult car-camping time. Cheers. ~Refueling~ No, wait—hold on—this isn’t what you think… It says “you can only meet this in winter,” and well… I happened to meet it at the convenience store today so… I kinda had no choice but to buy it? It’s a once-in-a-season encounter, so today I gave in. *Drinking during a Chichibu car-camp night is part of the fun.* And these chips— Chichibu B-grade gourmet Miso Potato Chips. Don’t they look amazing? Since I’m in Chichibu today, I figured I should try some local specialties, so I grabbed these. I left from Tokyo today, and it took less than two hours by car to reach Chichibu. Way closer than I expected. And as usual, this Chichibu spot isn’t actually my final destination. Tomorrow, I’m heading somewhere special. I’m going to Kusatsu! I’ve wanted this for so long—so happy. *I’ve been wanting to visit winter-time Kusatsu forever.* I’ve actually been to Kusatsu once on my Japan road trip, but I couldn’t stay overnight then— I just went to a public bath and drove back. But this time I’m staying. For two whole nights. I’m soooo excited. *If there’s a hot spring with “quit drinking” benefits, I should probably go soak in it…* Alright, time for the long-awaited gaming session. First, lights off— *Transforming into a pink-lit gaming car.* Doesn’t the sound quality feel amazing? I actually brought a speaker so I could hear everything in good audio. I’m playing the sound through this. My car has basically become a tiny paradise on earth. Having a monitor now makes everything even more comfortable. It’s like having a bedroom I can move anywhere I want—so good. Alright, time to go fishing. I wonder if there are any fish… yep, there’s one. Since it’s November, what kind of fish show up this season? There wouldn’t be any sharks, right? Suzuki? It’s a Suzuki… I caught… myself?? I really wanna try sea fishing someday. I’ve never actually done it, but I’ve always admired it. I actually like fishing quite a bit. Well, I say “like,” but I haven’t really done much of it. When I was little, I’d sometimes go to fishing ponds. Today I’ll practice here. *Training my fishing skills in Animal Crossing.* My family and I went on a trip recently, and I actually filleted fish myself. It was super fun, so— I wanna catch fish, fillet them, and eat them someday. A tiny horse mackerel? I’m getting a lot of bites today. Another Suzuki. There are so many Suzukis… Animal Crossing islands really do have cute vibes. My Papa Clipper interior, I kind of designed it with Animal Crossing in mind. This lighting totally looks like a gamer room from before. Let’s switch up the mood a bit. Maybe this one. It looks like a party light. Look, look—there’s a beetle-shaped pond. Looks like someone dug it out ages ago. I totally forgot about this… isn’t it crazy? *Fun fact: my previous job was digging beetle-shaped ponds.* Let’s go donate our caught fish to the museum. My donated fish corner. Let’s turn the light blue— and make it look like an aquarium. How is it? I’ve collected quite a lot. Wow… That’s huge… what even is that? Being able to snack on chips while visiting an aquarium is amazing. Totally impossible in real life. *If you did that in real life, you’d definitely get banned—so let’s just enjoy it in-game.* This kind of reminds me of the Churaumi Aquarium. I went there during my Kei-van Japan road trip. That was seriously so much fun too. Look, there’s a massive crab! What is that… that’s insane… You’d never guess this is all inside a tiny kei-van. It’s getting more and more like my dream setup. What else would make this even comfier? Maybe… a beer server? Yeah no, that’d be a bit too wild for a kei-van… *Maybe I’ll just hang a “sold out” sign on an imaginary beer server.* By the way, the outside of my actual house kind of looks like this. It’s pretty cute, right? But the inside is not cute at all. I haven’t really put any love into it. Even though I’ve gone all-in on customizing the kei-van… *My house is absolutely not in “invite people over” condition.* I did at least finish paying off the loan, so it’s actually pretty big. But I barely have any furniture. Anyway, I think I’ll head to bed soon. Tomorrow I’m driving over to Kusatsu, so I’ll go to sleep early and recharge properly. Good night. Good morning. Thanks to the heater last night, I slept all warm and cozy. I just checked the gas, and it barely went down at all. Only like half of one bar disappeared. So it seems pretty fuel-efficient too. Up until now I’d been car-camping in the cold, so this is honestly a total game changer. Okay, I’ll put the bed away for now, and make some breakfast. Alright, done. Time to eat breakfast. Today’s breakfast is… a big coarse-ground chorizo sausage from 7-Eleven. When I was thinking, “What should I eat for breakfast?”— I realized I haven’t used my toaster in forever. So I decided to give the toaster some love today. Okay, it’s ready. It grilled up perfectly. Alright, let’s dig in. So crispy and so good. I actually brought some camping gear too, but it poured yesterday, so I couldn’t really use it. There’s only about 30 minutes left until checkout, so I can’t do any camping today either. But I definitely wanna do a proper camping day again. *It’s just convenience store bread, but it tastes like bakery-level quality.* *There’s no way just one of these is enough to fill me up ^_^* Thank you for the food. That was delicious. Alright, time to clean up and get ready to leave. So that was my car-camping night in Chichibu. I got to feel way more autumn than I expected, and it was super fun. From here I’ll be driving over to Kusatsu. I’m so excited to go back to Kusatsu. I wanna soak in the hot springs, and enjoy Kusatsu to the fullest. Thank you so much for watching all the way to the end today. If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe, leave a comment, and give it a like. Okay, bye bye!
