Looking to get off to a really good start going in lane two is Suzuki. [Music] [Applause] Suzuki is absolutely flying in the in the opening meters. He is well and truly in front is the Japanese star who is bronze medalist in Tokyo. 2008 gold medalist though is pushing really hard. He’s not gone sub 50 seconds in this race in some time. Is coming back at him though and on his outside Luke and Joe are looking to push for positions on the podium. So too is D on but at the moment it looks to be Suzuki. He’s going to hold on. Moreli is coming back but it’s not going to be enough room for him to make up the ground and Suzuki touches for Japan’s first gold medal ahead of Meli and Luk on the podium for Spain in third.
