Hello, Fischer’s: Silk, Masai, Motoki, Zakao, Ndaho, Dāma That was like a super new-gen YouTuber introduction So fresh. I was like “why?” just now. Yeah, thought it was unusual Yeah, so fresh that my feelings are done They don’t even call themselves new-gen anymore. Not really It’s been long, right? Even the new-gen. That’s right The new-gen has been doing YouTube for like 6-7 years now Right. New-gen are veterans now. Six years is pretty long. Yeah, it’s long So, today, this video is about Well, we hadn’t told everyone During summer break, in August Fischer’s was putting in crazy effort We put in effort every year. Yeah, we put in amazing effort, but We’re going to talk about the real results from that Ooh Results announcement
That’s right Getting exciting Let me reset a bit Yeah, cups suddenly appeared Right, right. The Uber guy came, that’s the flow We could just talk normally, but We really worked hard, didn’t we? That’s right This year we worked the hardest, really During the death march, when we tried to start short and quick Everyone couldn’t stop talking We cut that, but if we showed it uncut, it would’ve been crazy Really, it’s true. We really worked super hard I thought about filming with staff and everyone We were planning to set up various things So there might be some lag, right? Yeah, that’s right So we thought we’d talk while it’s still fresh, just Members for now I thought we’d do that Right, right, right I thought we’d do that Yeah, well, good job to ourselves who worked hard. Let’s have a little drinking party Alright! Let’s do it! This kind of thing is important. Important. Something we shouldn’t forget Who wants beer? Me! Me! Me! And we have Dry Zero too Shake it Don’t shake it Hell no Who shakes beer when handing it over? I prefer it without carbonation. Beer is supposed to be carbonated though You get Dry Zero Dry Zero is fine too. Dry Zero? Dry Zero? Just go for it! Yeah, let’s do it! It really doesn’t fit with today’s video though I’m gonna open the Dry Zero and pour it Well, that’s basically how it was. Good work this summer Wait, sorry, why are we doing this? When I’m Mounting, I don’t like the ratio I’m terrible at it! In the first half, we’ll talk about the real numbers from summer After that, various incidents actually happened behind the scenes I thought it would be good if we could talk about that too Alright, that’s why we set up this session First of all everyone, good work on that inhuman schedule in August And I think we achieved quite a Major Record Are you satisfied with this summer? Hikakin… with the drone… The moment I said satisfied What’s gonna happen next year? For just a moment, you guys looked scared When I was about to say it, everyone looked at Silk Yeah, everyone else worked hard and pulled through If we call this the peak, what happens next year? Yeah, it’s scary but we can’t say weak things like that When we decided, it was this summer Yeah. But we are satisfied. We finished it properly The sense of achievement is incredible this year No, I think that’s our honest feeling If you don’t say you’re satisfied, it’s hard to toast Your satisfaction right now So everyone, you worked really hard Yes. So, cheers! Cheers! Thanks everyone! Nice Ah, delicious! Me too, it’s been a while. Amazing It’s been a while! It’s been a while! The Sha-sha! I brought snacks Cheese kama! Cheese kama! Wait! This summer When Ndaho was tired, his completely worn-down face was hilarious! I’ve been cracking up this whole time! By the way, I’m still recovering I’m still going strong. Totally. Did I look like that? Drinking a bit was worse Yeah, that’s bad What about the cheese kamaboko at the bottom? That’s true. Does everyone want cheese kamaboko? No, that one… If the editing subtitles get weird, that’s exactly what we need That’s right That would be a problem, so let’s just get straight to the point about this year’s… I don’t like cheese. That’s right This year’s summer Well, the director talked about the death march, so let’s see how it really went I just want to announce the results We were always watching, so that’s right There are numbers, but this year we looked at the numbers every day We used to check them every year, didn’t we? But this year was kind of different for me Rather than checking how we’re doing every day, my desire to challenge was way stronger Just keep putting stuff out, and I want to try this kind of thing I was doing all that, and then I realized, oh wait, I wonder how many views we’re getting That happened a lot this year Watching you, it felt like an athlete breaking a Japanese record Like being completely absorbed, you know? Yeah, I reached a state where I didn’t care what speed I was going That might be close to it We were watching properly though This guy was probably… In a way, not thinking about the consequences That’s right That’s how it felt Exactly So around August 6th, we were all getting scared Until the second half, right? Did you guys talk about that when I wasn’t there? We did
Really? I want to hear about it too The other Members probably felt the same way, but I want to hear it Ndaho and I, probably on the drive home, right? We were like, what’s he gonna do? I keep getting asked that. Are you my parents or something? Don’t give me that ‘what’s he gonna do’ crap I definitely prepared a lot of material Yeah, but videos were coming out at a speed that surpassed that, so we were like, wait, isn’t this not enough? There was definitely some anxiety about running out of stock That’s what we were thinking But then you sent a message saying you’d fill up the calendar That Whiteboard you showed us was really scary It was packed full Everything was filled in As a result of working incredibly hard I thought so. Well, let me just say the results first – it’s really a Personal Best Record Yeah! Wooo! Gobdeden! Yeah! Gobdeden! Thank you! We’re the strongestright now, right? Wonderful! The strongest! And also… yeah Nice, so nice What’s amazing about this is We were strongin every single aspect The balance was justtoo perfectly aligned Long Videos were hitting1 million, 2 million views Just boom, boom, boom, yeah Some videos were long, and some we made short on purpose Short videos don’t get watchedmuch these days, yeah Even those got views. One hidden theme for this summer was Nostalgia and challenges Do everything and break records So with challenges,it’s not just about trying hard We also provided viewers withthe comfort of our old selves There were definitely relaxed parts.I made sure to show when I wasn’t trying too hard So it’s not like a placewhere you can’t relax, but Like this shin harmonica series Shin Bee Bee Bee was like14 minutes! Yeah, that’s short “You’re posting that now?”kind of thing, but we did it on purpose Yeah, purposelyposting at that length Doing various thingslike “let’s do it the old way” There were videos like that too,and despite doing that It was incredible Shorts, Long Videos, and even events Everything was probablythe best we’ve ever had! No doubt. There probably aren’t many. Some people are only strong with Long Videos Some are only strong with shorts. But we were strong with both And this was as group YouTubers Who’ve been runningfor over 10 years, and we achieved this I think this resulthas probably never happened before And with daily uploads too Not just the Main Channel, but the gaming channel started too So much content. Gaming channel, second channel, the secondary Three channels! Plus two moreindividual ones. What a challenge We posted almost daily there too.And got millions of views We did, we did So thinking about it,it’s like we built an insane factory Yeah Suddenly at full capacity.Yeah, full capacity So viewers were alsosaying on Twitter Yeah, really It was so exciting What I just mentioned–we don’t have separate channels for shorts Both main Long Videosand main shorts got views and were fun Yeah The balance wasseriously too perfect this summer In August, well, aside from the numbers Like going to the magma, it wasn’t just about getting View Count but that excitement, like experience points Those aren’t numbers we look back on but numbers we can’t show everyone yet These life numbers, or experience points I think it’s great that these are properly accumulating We’re maintaining stability while also taking on challenges We did a lot of content we can talk about later We’re definitely doing a lot of new things Challenge after challenge But if that’s all we did, people who’ve been watching us for a long time might wonder if they still feel comfortable So we also did stuff like the old 2017 Fischer’s content Of course, there’s a range in the numbers But more than that, the satisfaction level was incredible Like “Oh, this is so nostalgic!” So in that sense, we didn’t leave anyone behind Well, we’re leaving people behind in terms of video count We might be leaving behind people who can’t keep up with all the uploads It was a summer where you could choose, in that sense Did we release a whole year’s worth just in summer, including Shorts? Main Channel, secondary, games, all combined Just the main channel is crazy, around 250 That’s about how many we put out, around 250 If we count everything properly I don’t know exactly, but if we had been putting out Workout Videos too we would have been working constantly. But we played for a whole year’s worth That’s true That’s amazing Aren’t we incredible? We really are Guys who can play a year’s worth in one month Wonderful. Terrifying Concentrated juice So we might be the Japanese YouTubers who spent the most intense time. That’s great We should tell normal people about this. Absolutely I might not be able to break it We properly had… not fights, maybe not fights but Well, it’s good that incidents properly happened. I want to talk about that later Yeah, I had something I wanted to ask about Right, there were things that not all Members knew about Ah, individually And I really think it was good that happened Oh I’ll talk about that stuff a bit later Should we talk about View Count? Sounds good Yes, this is the main topic Well, it’s about View Count Back when there were no Shorts, there were months where we aimed for 300 million monthly views I see, and we achieved it There were years when we aimed for 400 million When we aimed for 400 million, people said it was absolutely impossible Yeah, so we’ve been told this since 200 million. We’ve been told this since 200 million. Yeah, when they said “There’s no way you’ll hit 200 million,” we hit 200 million and said “Next, we’re going for 300 million.” And they said “You’ve completely lost it,” but we hit 300 million. That’s right, really. And then that 300 million View Count continued for several years straight. Things started getting a bit weird. Yeah, it was like “Huh, what’s happening?” So is 300 million actually achievable now? When they said that, we went for 400 million. And everyone was like “Wait, what?” When things got weird, we said “Let’s put the numbers aside for a moment.” Let’s do what we can do, we had a year like that once, right? We had that “Let’s all grow as Members” thing, right? Yes! Even then, we still had like 250 million. From there. I mean, 200 million was supposed to be impossible. That’s right, fundamentally. Yeah, and after that we said “Let’s work hard” and got around 300 million again. We talked about what would happen this year. Just talking about this year’s View Count… Hey! Ah, the results announcement! View Count, summer, Fischer’s, just the month of August. Just the Main Channel, right? That’s right, Fischer’s Main Channel only. 607,723,222 views! Insane! 600 million?! This is amazing because the recent videos we uploaded are obviously being watched, but let’s call it the Fischer’s Mechanism. Our videos have Delayed Growth. Right. Rather than suddenly hitting 10 million, they get boosted. I said it first – we’re a Memory Storage. That’s right! Maybe so! Just Long Videos alone that have been viewed 10 million times – the channel that has the most of those videos is definitely us. Absolutely. You could make a playlist of 10 million views videos. Actually, we can’t make that anymore. They overflow. We have a hundred. And we intentionally created that kind of mechanism, and it’s probably the only channel that’s succeeded with it. And people do watch the recent videos, so there are quite a few. That’s right. Yeah, and we were talking about power balance and stuff, but that’s naive! We’re obviously working hard on that too, of course. But on top of that, we have this mechanism, so we couldn’t get these numbers otherwise! That’s right! Sometimes people might say it’s because we did Shorts, but actually, putting out both Shorts and Long content and getting these numbers is difficult. Channels that only do Shorts grow way better. Yeah, that’s right. And people who only put out Long videos grow way better too. Balancing Long and Shorts and putting out these numbers is incredibly hard. Are we doing an Ohtani? We’re seriously doing an Ohtani. Same goes for this year This year was the year we could actually pull it off This right here It’s not something you can understand just by talking about it I think I was probably saying that honestly It’s more of an insider thing And I don’t expect people to get it Because we’re probably the only ones who’ve experienced this I don’t think it’ll get through But it’s really difficult, putting out both long and short content People who try to make both work are seriously tackling something tough And I’ve seen so many people give up halfway through. Yeah, they do long content, try shorts, then quit I’ve seen that so many times And vice versa too Vice versa might be even more common Vice versa is pretty common too But being able to maintain a proper balance with both No, wait. This whole thing about maintaining balance with both This isn’t just our opinion Ueda’s opinion is definitely included in this too The balance is incredibly well-maintained That’s the kind of channel we are, really well-balanced I think we became a channel that could do things properly We’re really one of Japan’s top channels And we can proudly say that. But I can’t talk about this yet I can’t talk about it, but there’s another crazy thing that’s about to be decided Has everyone heard about it? Probably not, right? No, I haven’t heard anything Everyone hasn’t heard. Um, next year Oh wait, not next year. Next year Haven’t heard about early next year. Haven’t heard Well, I’ll talk about it. Early next year Yeah! I want viewers to feel proud together with us It really is that level of thing, for sure Wait, but I just said to feel proud here, but we might not be able to use this There’s a possibility we can’t use it That’s right Oh, that’s right Right So in the end, this record that we and everyone created together I want you to take pride in it Hitting 600 million views And one more thing I think we can pat ourselves on the back for: our stamina was incredible Seriously. This is another thing about us Our personal lives were fulfilling too It wasn’t just work and going all-out on YouTube We properly made time for family and went to the gym for workouts as a hobby We had time for regular hobbies too I was doing weight loss after all Lost 6 kilos in August That summer was amazing. August definitely has a lot going on. Multiple things happening at once. That’s right. We were doing things like baseball games too. All sorts of things Right now I was doing things. Going places and stuff, yeah. You were doing all sorts of things, right? The person who was in dance events? The dance event person. You managed to do it properly. Yeah, that part too. That was huge. We’re putting Full Effort into YouTube of course We’re using this much energy on YouTube so wouldn’t it be a waste not to use energy on other things too? Yeah, I get that Definitely, it’s good to try to balance things at a high level It’s a good thing, really amazing and high level That’s what I thought Right. We can do this much with YouTube but not being able to do anything else feels wrong Not just as a guy or anything but as a human being, there was definitely a part of me that felt frustrated about that After doing all that, we surpassed 600 million I was a bit shocked. After the first 10 days we were talking about how this would definitely hit 400 million But then it went up even more Because in the latter half of summer when I was talking with the Project team No, it’ll probably plateau here surprisingly I was talking with staff saying I think it’ll stop at around 400 million But we totally crushed that, isn’t that crazy? Yeah, but speaking of View Count, we exceeded 600 million Over 100,000 new Subscribers signed up just this summer 100,000 right now people, that’s insane, insane Honestly, even gaining 1,000 people a day is tough. Really tough Because people who aren’t subscribed can still watch. For those people to go out of their way and think our videos are worth subscribing to Everyone watching doesn’t have to subscribe, so that’s how it is So after doing YouTube for this long I really think we can be proud of that Thank you, really grateful Just looking at the numbers, August was insane And this is just one channel, just the main one Main is amazing Total Views would be way more Not the presidential election, right? If you add them up, it never stops Well, of course we had collabs too We’re also counting the collaborations with other creators When you think about it, how many videos did we shoot? There’s a lot There are videos we shot in August that haven’t been uploaded yet There are still ones that haven’t gone up yet. This is incredible Everyone’s energy was amazing too. That’s right Everyone’s balance, when we get serious Basically, we’re the type to have longer vacations True Yeah, our vacations are a bit longer. But when we decide to go for it, we really commit Just from talking this much, you can tell This year was a bit crazy The number of videos was about 250 just on the Main Channel And the View Count was 600 million Subscribers increased by about 100,000 That’s just YouTube Fischer’s Main Channel alone Plus there’s also Fischer’s Museum Our facility opened in our hometown It’s overwhelming, since it was in August The merchandise sold out instantly It was amazing. Better than we imagined. Even those kinds of people came Yeah, locals came too. It’s really nice So amazing things happened But when you have a lot of good things There were also tough times, and we want to talk about that We really can’t lie about this That stuff definitely happened to us Besides the tough stories, there were also some funny ones So first, there was the Desert Island thing Dāma and Masai, who aren’t used to Desert Islands, went There was that Project about what would happen if you lived on a Desert Island for a day Yeah, the fish was really delicious Right, a dramatic story really unfolded That’s good
On the first day we couldn’t catch anything, and we were like ‘Oh no, this is tough’ Originally we expected Masai to get sick Honestly, I had a feeling that would happen. And Dāma would get angry about something But he didn’t get angry! He didn’t say anything negative Amazing! But something probably happened inside him Well, I wonder what it was Obviously, getting sick from diving for the first time It would be wrong to say something about that! Emotionally speaking But on the Desert Island, there were other things besides Masai getting sick True, I was under a lot of stress. But he didn’t say much about that either Right, there was definitely that feeling. We were in the same position You can only get angry after achieving something. Exactly That’s where the two of them balanced out And at the very end, there was this huge 1.5-meter A moray eel they said you don’t see around there In the end, I was the one who caught it That thing has a name Oh, it has an official name! It has an official name That eel is apparently called a Poisonous Moray Eel Well, that’s literally the name! The name gives it away Is that really what it’s called? Poisonous Moray Eel That’s not a Dragon Quest monster! Isn’t that too random? I see, so that’s why it’s called Poisonous Moray Eel. That’s what it is Moray eels usually have a set size range But there’s a type that gets really huge. And apparently only Poisonous Moray Eels get that big Man, that thing was huge. Way too big. You could tell just by looking at it! So the Poisonous Moray Eel, it’s pretty straightforward There are two main characteristics. First one, it’s huge! And when it’s big, it apparently carries more poison According to its size. And here’s the second characteristic There’s a black spot around here, extending from the mouth Like a villain, it was there So that’s a Poisonous Moray Eel That’s totally a Poisonous Moray Eel! Wait wait wait wait. Whoa, that’s crazy The interesting thing about Poisonous Moray Eels is They don’t always have poison. It’s random Poisonous or not? Is the poison throughout the whole body? Well, they say it’s throughout the whole body But especially around this black spot This area is supposed to be the strongest! You ate way too much of the head. I ate a ton of that part You ate too much! I earned it I ate the whole head. We split it three ways We divided it into head, body, and tail, and I went for the head It’s like eating the stinger part of a scorpion Yeah, I ate the scorpion’s poison stinger part You mean the tail part? The tail, the poison stinger part And I ate that That poison stinger part, which would be the poisonous part of the Poisonous Moray Eel That’s what I ate Depending on the environment, there might be no poison But I think it’s fine. I did check about the Poisonous Moray Eel Whether it was edible or not. I asked, ‘Can we eat this?’ And they said it should be fine The number of times I dove to fight that Poisonous Moray Eel Was easily over double digits. About 60 times I dove For about an hour and a half, yeah about an hour and a half to 40 minutes I was fighting that Poisonous Moray Eel the whole time On the way back, we all escaped from the Desert Island We all ate the eel called Poisonous Moray Eel, the Giant Moray Eel Good job, you did great After cleaning up, everyone got on the boat to head back So basically, we got to the fishing port, and from there we drove to the airport While I was in the car, everything in front of me started getting distorted Huh? It was like, whooom, like a video game Yeah, like that. Everything was getting all warped Right, right. And like, in my stomach, or rather inside my body, it felt like it was being squeezed That kind of feeling. And I was like, huh? I thought something felt weird Well, whatever, I thought. Then we got to the airport There were all these people who had helped us out, saying “good work” and stuff I was greeting all the people who helped us, saying “thank you for your hard work” Right in the middle of that, I thought “Oh crap!” and I couldn’t see my feet anymore. What?! What?! And something was coming up I thought this was bad. It was my first time My first time with the staff, you know, for the Desert Island shoot I was greeting the staff at the very end While saying “thank you for your hard work,” I threw up for the first time Oh no! “Thank you for your hard work, thank you for your hard work” Yeah, and it was white vomit Huh? Pure white vomit came out like “let me help!” right in front of everyone It made the proper sound too, splat When it made that sound, I was like, huh? Oh crap, it came out. After that I rushed to the bathroom You know, I was the only one who saw that white vomit. Really? It was really white So white I was like “what is this?” And I threw up without saying anything, then wondered “what is this?” Yeah, that makes sense! Of course it does! This white stuff came out with a squeeze, and I was like “ugh!” The greetings were over, so I was like “Thank you for your hard work!” I’m going to the bathroom I rushed to the bathroom and sat down on the toilet While I was doing my business normally, I thought “this might be bad.” Is it coming out? I went “bleurgh!” and threw up. Everyone probably heard it. I was right there in the next stall Yeah It was like blah blah blah blah, really. No seriously, there were about three or four waves Yeah, there were big waves If I didn’t get all that blah blah out, I’d feel completely confused Were you drinking alcohol or something? No, no, I wasn’t drinking But after that, this is the weird part Poisonous Moray Eel has something called ciguatera toxin. Ciguatera toxin? It causes food poisoning Basically, it takes time to recover from since it’s food poisoning Right! But I recovered before getting on the plane Did you get it all out? I was like “whoa” It’s circulating, that’s it! Yeah, it’s circulating After I went bleurgh, I felt sick Ah, I think it might have been affecting my blood vessels So let me have some coffee first and calm down. I’ll have some coffee and fill my empty stomach And I got better So was it the poison or too much diving? We’ll never know what it was We’ll never know. Which one was it? The problem was solved, but what was it really? Yeah, what was it really? We’re like, what was that? That’s the story Well… well, I’m glad you’re okay. Nothing happened to you Nothing happened? Nothing happened? Yeah Because I ate the head Yeah, so I ate the whole head I ate the cheeks. Either way, whatever the cause was It was too much diving, and well, it’s Silk It’s Silk, right? And eating the head is also Silk We didn’t eat it, so we don’t know No idea at all. So we’ll never know which one it was That day was pretty bad. It was really something That happened. Well, nothing came of it though Maybe I got poisoned What was it really? Maybe Yeah, I threw up and got better, but what was it really? And up until this point Actually, or rather Actually We haven’t talked about this, but actually there was a secret theme, or rather A Project was running throughout the summer. Huh? Besides the death march Oh, that one Ah yeah, Zakao, Dāma, Motoki No, we knew about this actually. Only these three knew Masai had no idea. Yeah, Ndaho and Masai didn’t know Actually We were doing a secret Project called the P1 Grand Prix What’s the P1 Grand Prix? It’s basically the Project 1 Grand Prix What this is, is Zakao, Dāma, Motoki They’re not really the type to come up with Projects Usually me and Ndaho come up with most Projects So we had these three each come up with one We asked them to come up with content that could get a million View Count And we were competing to see who gets the most views. Wow! Zakao did the beach house, Motoki did ramen What about Dāma? He didn’t submit one! Those three were the Projects from those three Wow! This actually We really worked hard on it together Oh that’s right! Yeah! We went to Dāma’s house and discussed what kind of Project to do This Project, no that won’t work because of this and that, we won’t make it in time, or We need to check with various people, so it’s not realistic Looking at the schedule now, it’s a bit difficult, you know. We had meetings over and over about that That’s the material we came up with. So I don’t really want to add just a little bit more Maybe just tweaking the thumbnail a bit like this would be better. But other than that, I can handle it myself now That kind of thing happened? Yeah, the three of us were competing with Projects Huh, are you filming that itself? We are filming it You’re filming it! The four of you had a meeting? That’s right! With these four people, yeah, it was a deathmatch With these four people, there was that deathmatch between video creators, right? There was, yeah, that’s it Yeah, that’s it, so that’s what it was. These four people, how about this Project We followed up properly on LINE and everything. There was a lot going on And that was what I mentioned during the deathmatch, that me and Dāma had various things going on That’s right. Hmm
It was a huge event And what’s most important about this is that by doing this We really understood each person’s strengths clearly! That’s the biggest thing! I see The biggest result But there, if you keep avoiding conflicts, groups don’t get better Should I say it? Yeah. Let’s have a proper exchange of opinions We did that Project. And really, speaking of Motoki Well, he has quite a unique editing style too, but More like short video planning? So experiments and stuff That kind of thing, so he’s more of a Project person Zakao is weak with secondary channels now, but he does main channel editing too And various things, well he himself said he wants to do this kind of Project, or wants to do apparel Projects That’s what he said. But confirmation is a bit difficult, right There was that, and like, wouldn’t it be hard to land there? While having that meeting, the beach house idea came up I see! That was Zakao! For sure. That was completely Zakao’s Project Zakao was super fast with the editing Yeah! I thought it was uploaded today. Yeah, that was from start to finish Something Zakao wanted to think up and do. Right And Dāma Dāma, well Dāma will talk about this directly too, but He’s not really good at creating Projects And Dāma himself told us that too. But still, with this Project Since we were running the P1 Grand Prix, we decided to think it through to the end But getting a million views with a summer video, well, it’s not just about views Including satisfaction and everything, that’s a high bar. That’s true And once, me and Dāma had a discussion and really clashed And it’s okay to say this, right I thought about leaving the group What? Just like this, during summer Especially being told to suddenly come up with a video during the strongest period Sorry, that’s impossible. I talked about that a lot. Yeah, so thinking about that But no, really What is this person’s strongest point, you know And we were thinking, but our editing setup is so strong So I also pitched something like, what about this? And they said, oh that’s totally doable That’s how we started talking about it, and from there came the problem video we’re discussing Maybe there was some kind of endurance idea? Because before that video was created So yeah, something way scarier than any idea happened. That’s for sure Actually, you know, internally It was totally scary I think Zakao was probably the most scared. Yeah I was there when that incident happened on the LINE chat with Dāma, Silk, and me. Oh really? Motoki had already submitted his project, so once he submitted it Then Zakao and I were checking on how things were going in our three-person LINE chat It was a three-person group LINE, right? Yeah, me, Zakao, and Dāma And since I had that time constraint, Motoki actually came through for us So there. And the two of us were struggling at the time Since Motoki properly met the deadline, we had to follow up on that So when I asked, “How are you two doing?” Yeah, yeah, yeah And Zakao was also struggling with various things but managed to submit So Dāma was basically the only one left under pressure at the end We were like, what do we do, what do we do, and ended up clashing hard When I said, well, that’s pretty tough to do in summer He was like, this is really getting to me, and when we talked about what to do I completely had to focus on leveraging Dāma’s character I gave advice like, how about this? And then he said, alright I’ll do that And as a result, we realized that rather than thinking up projects He’s actually stronger at editing, like doing subtitles. Yeah His weapon was on the editing side We realized that, and that’s where Dāma belonged. Yeah, that whole incident And because that happened, actually, after we finished filming the death march We were talking about what to do going forward When everyone was discussing what kind of role would be best, I sent out those instructions Without that summer, I wouldn’t have been able to send those instructions Exactly. We could do it because that incident happened And Dāma himself was like, alright let’s do that So now he’s working on Games subtitles and finishing those up And he’s also doing secondary channel work So basically, he was considering leaving It’s actually a real story He might have actually said he’d leave after summer ended. Silk said I was totally thinking about it Yeah, yeah, yeah That’s what he was saying Well, it’s our 15th anniversary too, so I think this year had that significance So that made sense And I was seriously Of course it was about thinking up projects, but P1 Grand Prix was just one project That’s right It was meant to be just one project, but the way people feel about things Varies by person, and he ended up feeling that pressure So I apologized for that, and I think what I was saying was right But there were parts he just couldn’t handle So we exchanged opinions and decided to let things go at just the right point And that was the end of summer Right when August ended, both of us were like, “Whoa” I mean, something kind of solidified, you know, like our positions to some extent—yeah The idea of “this is how we should do things” solidified and we found it. Yeah. So actually, Museum Tag— The bus ride that day was kinda awkward. Yes, it was Right now when we’re clashing, we’re clashing, but What can I say, there was stuff after that too, so We tried to avoid talking as much as possible. Huh, that’s quite a story. The backstage area, you know, thinking about it, it was super tough. Right, the backstage area, you know, Thankfully they let us use it and we borrowed it, and it was quite a big room, wasn’t it. You know, Dāma and Silk were definitely sitting far apart. Yeah, we were the furthest distance apart. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we started talking normally partway through, right Well, both of us felt awkward at that time It was awkward, but honestly, neither of us wanted to quit or anything If we’re talking about work stuff, that’s probably how it goes But we probably understand better than anyone how big this thing is. Right, Fischer’s is something irreplaceable, so Of course I don’t want to make him quit, And I don’t want him to push himself too hard either, so yeah We were like, “Isn’t there some way we can both use our good points?” Well, we finished that conversation in a flash, but If we really can’t find common ground here There are probably several groups that have really clashed and had members quit That’s right. Yeah. I really think there are. Being able to understand each other’s intentions and then discuss things And find common ground Well, we grew up a bit, I guess. I think that was good. That’s huge. I think everyone did. Everyone, yeah. Right, both of them—I totally get what they’re both saying. Yeah, I really think so too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. We were both awkward, but we could still talk normally when we needed to And at that time We started talking little by little from that backstage moment And things got better— So we went straight into filming and shot it, yeah We figured it was better not to talk about this too much, so we never brought it up once— Never did Actually, I don’t think we should talk about this at all. I’d like to watch that video again— Right, actually It was actually a bit awkward Were you guys cooperating? But you know, the funniest part is that the first ones to cooperate were these two guys— What?! What should we do? Should we go into this room— Let’s go into a bright room or something. It’s really great that you can do that. That’s true— That’s your strength. You can switch it on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In our 15th anniversary, it feels like we found our strongest point or something— Well, there are people who are good at thinking up projects. Yeah. And through training, they’re getting better at it. Same with Ndaho. Yeah, through training, I’ve gotten a bit better at thinking about it, so there’s that. Well, people who are good at it have this overflowing quality for projects where ideas just pop out one after another, and I’m that type too So while the people who are good at it do their thing, when their performance drops sometimes it’d be nice if they could lend a light hand, of course So yeah, a lot happened this summer And there, they really thought it through and stayed They kept participating in Games filming and everything after that too I’m happy, really grateful. That’s what actually happened. There was quite a bit of clashing behind the scenes. What happened? Before we talk about that, when Dāma and I went out to eat we talked about how that project was going Oh, really? Yeah, several times Zakao and I actually talked about project ideas like “How’s it going?” just the two of us. About the P1 Grand Prix. Well, ideas just don’t come out at first But somehow, starting to talk about that stuff in private was also something new. Yeah, yeah, yeah. (laughs) With these Members, Dāma and I having that conversation Well, it wasn’t complaining or anything Yeah, it was just a normal “How’s the progress?” conversation Amazing. Honestly, from a company perspective, it’s incredibly impressive Because in private, we’re basically talking about work and roles Most people don’t want to do that Ah
Right? It’s our day off, so most people don’t want to think about work But being able to have those “How’s it going?” conversations in private is amazing from a company standpoint It’s beautiful, even thinking of us as teammates, we’re really focused on summer Seriously, we’d never had a summer like this before Of course there were physically tough times before too But this wasn’t that. We had various clashes to pursue a better Fischer’s That was good this year. Of course I was nervous at the time I was, but I really think it was good that happened It’s like the view ahead cleared up. I’m still looking at those messages from back then. I want to know Zakao’s feelings from that time. It was really rough. Because I really really understood what Silk was saying and what Dāma was saying So I properly, instead of just watching, I joined the conversation too I really got involved and watched it all unfold I understood Silk’s side and Dāma’s side too, so “Let’s work hard together now,” you know Zakao also struggled with that and said I’ve thought about quitting too, me too While firmly supporting Dāma It’s work, so Silk has to say it, right? Both sides, like Nobuyuki Kakuda softly No no Kakuda comes out, right? Yeah, Nobuyuki Kakuda comes out Patting both of their shoulders like that, keeping it up the whole time But Silk was also really, maybe a bit embarrassed Earlier he said thank you Zakao and came to me personally Yeah, well done! No, but that’s really amazing You screenshot that and send it to me later What are you saying! You! You saw that somewhere Want to see it, don’t show it too much, whatever Well, of course including that This guy really is a leader, properly That’s really about making play into work I see, that’s true When you’ve been doing this for so long, that “understand without saying” thing actually gets tough
The longer you’re together Can you really understand without words? I don’t think so The longer you’re together, the more you pretend to understand without words and things get messy The environment changes too, so yeah that makes sense Yeah, that moment, that day, that year – everything’s different, right? So we absolutely need to have those conversations When things go wrong, we should properly apologize And when someone helps you, you should say thank you Well, I’m glad I’m someone who can do that But all our guys can do that, though the pressure is heavy August videos are heavy pressure, but let’s treat it like a game So we’re saying let’s treat it like a game while hitting 600 million So that’s challenging too, right? Taking on this challenge while everyone goes for 600 million If we did it the usual way We’d just have the usual project planners do it, only throw strong projects! But this year wasn’t like that, we didn’t know if they’d hit or not Yeah, we didn’t know Filming Main Videos with projects we weren’t sure about was a first That’s crazy, amazing, it was interesting No, but in that sense, we weren’t just going for 600 million Not just behind-the-scenes work, but that kind of thoughtful approach? No, but really, even this summer I thought our group is really the best Well, these three guys leveled up too In that sense, my view of the group Well, not management skills exactly, but I leveled up as a leader too I’m glad I did it too, though I didn’t plan projects Like these three did, I didn’t do the P1 Grand Prix for that But delegating that was one attempt Not doing everything myself Yeah, and seeing the results and checking the balance The ability to properly stabilize team strength Well, that won’t show up in videos. It might not show up in the numbers It might not show up in the numbers, but like, as an adult, but As one person, don’t you feel like we’ve grown a layer thicker? For me, my life has changed a bit in a way Like the Straw Hat Pirates, nice Yeah, well, that makes sense. Everyone probably had some good changes I’m totally Usopp No, but a little bit I’m Usopp You’re Usopp What was that just now? What was that just now? You’re Usopp. You’re Usopp. You’re Usopp In my mind, I was like, Border Seven’s Project planning skills, I can’t keep up with you guys. Yeah, exactly Yeah, for real And I got into a fight once There’s no way I can win! You can win I tried to quit once Beat-up Usopp was born And then, just quit already! I’m getting off the ship! And then at the end Sorry! And crying like this I was mean. Sorry! Yeah, yeah, yeah. It might really be like that, for real I can’t keep up with these monster-like guys I can’t keep up. I can’t keep up with these monster-like Project planning guys It’s Usopp! Holding a laptop Holding a laptop Holding the laptop like this Opening it, opening it like this I called it an incident, but It’s absolutely necessary for the group’s growth Yeah, it’s that kind of period. There wouldn’t be room to grow, right? No, I really think so. Really, this challenge, so I When the idea of doing the P1 Grand Prix popped into my head There were risks. It would put a burden on people So I thought, hmm, maybe not. But for me, the group and I think it’s the same with friends too With friends, or companies too. Avoiding conflict Places where lots of those people gather really don’t create anything It’s not meaningless, it just gets worse. It’s postponing problems Yeah, yeah, yeah. They’re just being lazy about it I thought that wasn’t good This time, I honestly said it thinking it was okay if we fought That way you can understand what the person really wants So that worked out pretty well We became a group worthy of 600 million views Yeah! Yeah! That’s right You always look awkward whenever we have these serious talks You look so uncomfortable… You’re too serious, I get nervous It’s all better now, so we should just laugh about it You take everything so seriously We’re not fighting right now Yeah, yeah, you feel everything with your whole body Well, Masai started running a gaming channel Maybe it really hit home for him? Seriously? Maybe management stuff really resonates with him right now? You kept looking me in the eye while I was talking What’s with that face! He’s getting embarrassed Don’t get embarrassed! You can’t get embarrassed Don’t get embarrassed! It’s over now, it’s finished Yeah, it’s over and things got better, so don’t be embarrassed! Motoki Oh, it was Motoki. I thought something like that happened That’s what I could talk about But there were other things too Like something I forced myself… wasn’t there something behind the scenes? A lot of people in videos were worried about me When the right half of my face was really swollen That happened! Probably in videos around that time too Ah, yeah, yeah I don’t remember exactly when, but we went to various places I was outside a lot for filming It’s really stupid, but I got bitten by bugs It really was half my face. Not just that though, that’s what it was It wasn’t a shark, it was bug bites Actually, I got bitten on both sides. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah Right? We all got attacked at the same hotel Ah! That hotel… I won’t say which one Everyone got bug bites. Something suspicious Like staying somewhere different than usual This is really funny – everyone slept in beds I stayed at the same hotel but didn’t sleep in a bed. Oh really? And I didn’t get bitten at all. Only Silk slept on the couch Actually, that’s right. I slept on the couch while editing And nothing happened to me. Really? So probably the guys who slept in beds got attacked Got attacked There was something nasty in the beds But he seems totally fine now The internet spreads speculation, so we worried people Just a regular bug bite, nothing more How was this year for you, Ndaho? This whole summer It was unusually peaceful, wasn’t it It felt peaceful But what I really noticed was Your eyes were crazy Yeah, Silk was saying the same thing earlier, right? The whole time I guess they were eyes full of motivation Right, like competitive eyes with fire coming out of them Was there a reason for that? Oh, it’s really just a personal reason Lately, there are so many highly educated YouTubers They’re so smart – Keio University, Aoyama and all True, Tokyo University too So when I looked at something like a Graduation Album, what does it say for education? Middle School Graduate, that’s all I have So you have an education complex now Yeah Isn’t that a bit late? I thought all I have is physical strength Oh sorry, got carried away. Even so I’ve been doing this with physical strength for years now That’s what it became Thinking about education at 30 I probably said it in old videos too if you look back Well, what are you fighting against? What are you fighting against? I probably fought against a lot of things I didn’t need to fight I thought about it a lot. Honestly, I’m probably not fighting anything significant No, I really think so too Not fighting anything significant But because I try to win at everything, I often get into weird situations with Masai But that happens Ndaho trying to fight everything And Masai saying ‘Just make it entertaining’ Sometimes we clash during filming. It’s too funny Yeah, sometimes I wonder why you try to win at that. That definitely happened When it comes to being aggressive, that’s what happens It looks like Artisan Spirit, actually So sometimes Ndaho and I step aside to talk privately Yeah yeah yeah yeah, that’s a First Warning But that type who gets fired up is valuable When you get going, you can’t see around you for a moment. That’s the Artisan Spirit And well, my hometown is Katsushika I think that’s important and I want you to keep that spirit But sometimes you need to adjust. You work incredibly hard though Right, you work incredibly hard I think that’s important and I want you to keep that spirit But sometimes you need to adjust. You work incredibly hard though Right, right. So you work incredibly hard I don’t really want to stop him. I don’t want to stop him, but he messes up the power adjustment. Yeah. He’s skilled though. I don’t know… I’d say I have a pretty strong Artisan Spirit too. But he probably has more of an Artisan Spirit than I do. And that’s good. He’s always fired up. Constantly burning. Plus he really cares about winning and losing. Yeah. So I think that’s actually pretty good. There are times when you need that. But is there a way to not worry so much about winning and losing? Well, there is one way. Remember this summer when you said something like an athlete would to me? You should think you’re gonna win. You’re gonna win anyway. So probably… So no, probably that’s where he probably still… He probably thinks he hasn’t caught up yet. So I should just stay the strongest. It’ll be the moment when he realizes it by keep winning. For sure. The more times you grab it, the more you understand how to win. So eventually he’ll probably be able to beat people while picking his nose. So this summer was like that in that sense. Everyone was definitely acting kind of weird, but… It wasn’t in a negative way. Like they were trying to change. They reflected on their own way of being and worried about it. I could tell that’s why those words came out and that’s why they acted that way. This summer, in that sense, of course I had a lot to think about too. But I felt like this could only go in a good direction. Masai also handled Games really well. We did it! That’s right! Masai did his Workout and got much better at managing things. He did. With Games. I’ll never forget his posture at that moment. When you met me in the room, you were standing with such an arched back. And your “good work” greeting sounded different that time. Always… When entering the room, you said “Good work!” like that. Wait, this guy gained confidence! Yeah, he was getting more confident. He really did gain confidence. That’s wonderful. So I thought, okay, let’s leave it to him. So I basically didn’t get involved with Games. In that sense. But somehow made it easy for everyone to join in. Yeah, organized it properly and did it well. So we got the results. That’s right. We cleared our quota numerically too. Right. Let’s keep it up! Yeah, that’s how you sounded! Well then! I’m really bad at that kind of thing. I don’t want you to panic when the ball suddenly comes your way. It’s hard to express “working hard.” It’s fine because you are working hard. You don’t need to express that you’re working hard to actually work hard. It’s okay, it’s okay. Yeah. I didn’t say “try harder from now on,” did I? That would make you tense up, like you have to do something He keeps maintaining his position as Field Commander, yeah The time he spends working hard without being scared has definitely increased Yeah With games, there are quite a few times when Silk Road, Ndaho, and Zakao aren’t there Yeah, a lot, and when that happens, he really, you know, how do I put it… Maybe it’s a bit embarrassing, but he tries to provide topics for conversation You can tell he has a clear policy like “let’s do this here” and works with that in mind Each video has proper planning, yeah That’s really growth, I guess I sound condescending No, not at all. I’m happy to get that kind of evaluation So, about other people… this might sound weird, but When you think someone has grown from an outsider’s perspective They’re not worrying about themselves You can feel they’re trying to do something for others, approaching them to help Exactly! Yeah! That’s exactly how it felt He was properly trying to approach those around him He was really doing that It’s fun, you know Now I can’t believe Silk Road is just one person, even though he’s a Member Really true And so, he properly values time with his family Values time with Members too, and does editing Makes videos, directs videos too There’s probably like three of him? So when we went overseas, there’s Silk Road who went overseas Probably Silk Road filming domestically, and Silk Road spending time with family – that’s three Like Perman’s copy robots What’s scary is he even appears at the Office Ahahahaha! He’s like an urban legend It’s scary, yeah. I probably go to the Office the most Then there’s four of him I treat the Office guy as a Member in some ways Yeah Yeah, Members and staff might be a bit different, but I think of them as Members I want to see how much work everyone’s doing When I have editing to do, I go to the Office See how much progress everyone’s making, talk about filming and stuff Then I come home But Silk Road’s like, “Hey, want to film something?” I’m like “Sure, let’s go” and he comes over. That’s weird Silk Road appears in places where he shouldn’t be Wait, is he at the Office now? Wasn’t he filming somewhere far away? Why is he filming shorts? What’s that about? This year’s scheduling too Yeah, my own schedule, you know There’s a shared schedule for everyone, right? I don’t write my plans on there He doesn’t write it down, and Silk Road is really bad at putting things in the calendar Yeah, he’s bad at putting things in What was hilarious was when Silk said he put tomorrow’s schedule in He had a screenshot of the schedule he put in, but none of us could see it Right! It wasn’t there! That’s not funny at all I could see it, can you see it? No, we said we couldn’t see it There it was Right, I’m not good with technology, so this year maybe I’m not human Not human? We don’t think he’s human No, that’s always the case. Even after summer’s over, you’re not human Even at the end of the deathmatch when we wanted to go, you were like ‘No, I can still go’ That’s right, not human I was shaking Yeah, well really so Everything worked out perfectly You don’t just put all your energy into YouTube and work I could put in as much effort as I want, but I thought it’d be cooler not to do just that No, Silk is really the type who can move just on memories alone Amazing! That might be true! Right, even during his family trip he got his license He did driving camp too, that’s right! This year, right! For sure! He did driving camp and was driving – when did you go to camp?! Seriously! It wasn’t camp! Proper driving school Ah, that’s what it was, on Tuesday morning In his free time! Right, at 8 o’clock first thing in the morning Really, seriously? He was working hard for the Smash Bros. tournament Amazing! He was practicing for that He’s playing games too Right, so he’s doing both exercise and games properly From a kid’s perspective, there aren’t many adults like that If you could do both, that’d be great – what is this? What is this? He’s like the neighborhood lady Right, this year might have been a bit weird, his movements were probably strange What’s craziest is that this guy has a family I don’t know if he’s actually good with schedules But his way of organizing them is probably amazing His organizing might be gross – he’s playing Tetris by himself Ah, that’s right He’s good with schedules He’s playing Tetris with his feet That level – normal people make schedules and fill them up So I’ll create some free time here But Silk is like, “Oh, there’s a gap here, let me fill it. Oh, there’s another gap, let me fill that too” Yeah, exactly! He fills up all the gaps instead Yeah, that’s right Bathroom break Hey, we’re still recording! Grandpa Grandpa, grandpa Grandpa… Well, that was perfectly timed though Good timing for wrapping up too But anyway, for August, like I said during the death march August wasn’t about numbers, numbers, numbers This time it was really about challenges For ourselves and, well, our families Taking care of our inner circle, focusing on that And as a result of challenging ourselves, we got 600 million That’s how it felt Well, it wasn’t just me, everyone worked hard Not that it matters or anything That’s just how it turned out “Silk, you worked incredibly hard this year, right?” When people say that, not really It’s not like I didn’t work hard, I did work hard Whether there’s room for more, well, the environment changed a bit But I did work hard Yeah, I feel like I could work a little harder I really want to work even harder next year That’s too early to talk about next year We still have time left this year But on the flip side, not just summer For New Year’s and October, November too We want to put out videos that make people think “Fischer’s is amazing” That’s what I think. Should we wrap up here? Our staff also worked incredibly hard Yeah, Barry especially worked so hard We’ll probably get a chance to talk about that We can hopefully discuss that in another video, and at the same time There’s a project I want to do. We’ll film the intro later, but We’re thinking of filming holiday videos. Holiday videos Yeah, we’ve never done that before We haven’t. We don’t really have the concept of holidays We don’t That’s true Yeah, it becomes thousands of people Tens of thousands actually But we do have hobbies, things we want to do So next time, Holiday Fischer’s where you get to take a day off Just that But not alone. With someone I want you to spend the holiday with staff We want you to spend your day off with staff Oh! Hey! We’ll decide later which staff member gets paired with which Members We want you to spend your day off with staff, just the two of you Let’s go! We’ll shoot some fun videos We’re feeling a bit awkward about it Actually, you don’t have to try too hard. You could just go to a hot spring inn But still, we’d have to make our day off somewhat entertaining for the video, right? No, because if it’s just two people together, we can deliver the real thing Yeah, yeah. I think a genuine day off is fine. The computer just started working It would be weird to fake it. We should definitely deliver the real thing as is Right, right, right. Getting a haircut, going to staff’s house Well, the funniest thing would be with that staff member– No, the funniest thing would be with that staff member– It would be really funny if two people just kept sleeping all day No, in the same bed! We’ve done that before! I’m a bit worried, so call me if you’re feeling down No, that won’t work We have to be together Next time we’ll be able to film Fischer’s days off But always with staff, just the two of you I don’t know if it’ll be relaxing or not Each person will do their own thing There’ll be restful days off and active days off Well, we worked really hard this summer and got solid results But what happened beyond the numbers was really significant That’s what this video is about We’re living fulfilling lives I don’t know what the title will be But I don’t think it’ll be titled ‘Here Are Our Summer Results’ It’ll probably be about the incident since so much happened The title might worry people when they see it, but it was pretty real But now it’s quite positive– more than positive, actually Fischer’s as a group has gotten even stronger We’ve really been refined So we’ll be able to deliver that from now on. Look forward to it Well, having come this far, it’s gotta be 10 million! Let’s go! We can already see it. The first Japanese group YouTuber to reach 10 million And I think there are still many records to break While pursuing those, we’ll also properly enjoy our private time I think we’ll have fun with things outside of work When people say ‘That’s enough talking’ I want us to be the group that people think has the richest flavor That’s something I want to pursue Well, is this good enough? This was our ‘We Worked Hard This Summer!’ video! Please subscribe and hit the like button! I think we’ll probably be the ones to break this record again Alright! See you later! Let’s keep working hard! Ready? Adieu! Thanks for watching! Thanks for watching!Thank you so much! Thanks for watching our video! Secondary gaming channel,Instagram!
