  1. Season 3 SUCKED: 1. Usagi's Return Why did Usagi even go back to the Borderlands? She wanted desperately to leave the Borderlands behind-so why would she willingly return? Then she realizes one episode later that it was pointless, and that people should move on instead of reopening wounds. Okay, thanks-but couldn't that realization have happened earlier? It was unconvincing and out of character for the Usagi we knew.

    2. Banda's Role : the Borderland guy who dragged them back, made no sense. Was he just bored? Why was he suddenly in charge of so much? He was just another player before, yet somehow became a central figure. And why did he assume Arisu would ever consider becoming a Borderland citizen after already rejecting it in Season 2? His motives were weak, his authority random, and his purpose unclear.

    3. Ryuji's Mess of a Character Ryuji was confusing from start to finish. He "developed" every five minutes, only to undo it seconds later. His crush on Usagi doesn't excuse his flip-flopping or his attempt to kill her one moment, then suddenly saving her the next. When he died, I felt nothing-because his character never earned sympathy or consistency.

    4. Random Character Lore Dumps Suddenly we were forced to sit through long life stories of random new characters. Why? The original cast never got this much filler. These stories dragged the pace, felt detached, and made me care even less about people we barely knew. It added nothing but bloat.

    5. The Joker's Final Game The Joker confronting Arisu should have been huge, but it fell flat. He tried to push Arisu into sacrificing himself, but why would Season 3 Arisu even consider it? Season 1 Arisu maybe-when he was hopeless, lost, and had nothing after losing Karube and Chota. But now? He has a wife, a child, and a future. There were no stakes. The Joker's dialogue felt mismatched to who Arisu is now, making the scene empty.

    6. The Void of Missing OG Characters The absence of Chishiya, Kuina, and Aguni was a gaping hole. Ann deserved more too. These characters carried so much of the emotional weight in the earlier seasons. Their absence couldn't be filled with weaker new characters. Fans are deeply attached to them, and the show underestimated how much that would hurt.

    7. Dragged-Out Scenes The pacing was awful. Did we really need "60 hours" for a vortex to suck them in? Whole scenes dragged endlessly as if the show thought viewers wouldn't notice. Instead of tension, it just felt insulting, like the writers assumed the audience was dumb.

    8. Cashing In More than anything, this season screamed "we want money."

  2. In the first episode the professor played the old maid game in the real world but all the other games are being played in unconscious state in the borderland which does not exist in real world so how is the real world connected to the imaginary borderland? I'm confused because of the first game which was played in the real world? How did the guys from the borderland came to the real world? Because the guy in the blue suit was present in the first game old maid which was played in the real world but he was also present inside the borderland. In order to be in the borderland the guy in the blue suit must be unconcious too right? Can someone give me your insights?

  4. Just finished watching Season 3 about half an hour ago, and I wanted to share some thoughts with the community.
First of all, I think S3 was a banger. I know people are comparing it to S1 and S2, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be compared—each season has its own strengths. The storyline this time felt refreshing, the new characters added a lot, and Arisu + Usagi are still the emotional core of the show.
The games were super creative, the cinematography was beautiful, and the pacing kept me hooked. And let’s be real: after they teased the Joker card at the end of S2, they had to make S3. It really tied things together well.
That said, there were definitely some loopholes that bugged me. Biggest one: why did Usagi agree to return to the Borderlands with Ryuijin just to meet her dead father? Like… girl, you had a peaceful life with Arisu 😭🙏 That decision felt so random and out of character.
Still, overall, I really enjoyed this season. IMO it’s actually better than Squid Game. I’d give it a 5/5 and will probably rewatch it soon.

  5. Idk about you but, Mr. R is the most irritating and unlikeable character to me even if there is no enough depth to every character in this season except for ofcourse the Main Characters we love, He would top as the most annoying character to me. He's so creepy. His reasoning for bringing Usagi w him to die is doesn't make sense and the mercy he shows on Usagi does not redeem him at all. No one should even compare him to Chischiya.
Obsessing with a pregnant girl is a no no for me arisu and chichiya won the genius charm. I get his a scientist something but I really don't know his whole purpose here. His aura is just so annoying. The fact that in all season 1&2, I don't have any character that I hate, maybe there is I disliked, but here in this season3, I found one. Lol

  6. I have a question. I watched all of season 3. Why does Arisu and Usagi call each other by their last name ? They are married. She is not using her maiden name. Shouldn't they call each other Ryohei and Yuzuha ?

  7. i want to ask why only the arisu and usagi survived those other people who ran on the room where arisu was in the last episode and what about the That Black Coat person who was with the Blue Coat man who died while try to kill arisu i am very disappointed to Netflix and the producer i waited so long that i can get better climax because Squid game disappointed to me but this time this season is also disappointing 😔😔💔💔….
