ミニマリストの秋服紹介|夏服を断捨離してクローゼットを整える衣替えルーティン

Hello everyone.
It’s mid-September and it’s getting cooler. While switching out my clothes,
I’ll also be decluttering. Until last year, I lived in Ho Chi Minh,
a land of eternal summer. I lived there for five years,
so I have a lot of summer clothes and almost no fall or winter clothes. While decluttering my many summer clothes,
I’ll organize my fall and winter clothes. The closet contains clothes for both me and my husband. We haven’t decluttered even once yet,
so it’s pretty messy. The left side is my clothes.
The right side is my husband’s, so I won’t touch them. This is almost all my clothes,
but there are some winter clothes not out yet, so I’ll bring them out later. I’ll go through and organize them
one by one. The first thing I’m letting go is this UNIQLO mini T-shirt. The shape is really nice, and I used to pair it
with wide tuck pants and other loose trousers. But I wore it so much
the neckline is all stretched out. Can you tell in the video? The color has faded,
so after wearing it a lot this summer, I’ll let it go. Next is this T-shirt. My husband bought it
as a souvenir from China. It’s just a bit too small,
and the fabric is stiff, so it’s hard to move in. It’s actually kind of cute, but it’s uncomfortable to wear. I’ll ask my husband and then let it go. It’s uncomfortable even as pajamas…
I’m torn about what to do I’ll let it go once my husband agrees This striped one too
is a T-shirt I wore this summer I’ve been wearing it
for about two years since I was in Ho Chi Minh I didn’t think it was that worn out or dirty But how does it look on video (from someone else’s perspective)? Maybe the neckline is a bit fuzzy? I’m undecided, so I’ll keep it for now There were two more T-shirts to let go The first is a UNIQLO T-shirt I wore it for about four years in Vietnam The pen marks my daughter made won’t come out It’s overall faded and worn out,
so I’m letting it go There’s one more T-shirt to let go A black T-shirt I’ve worn for about four years Even though I’m 160cm, I bought a size S Since it was a tight fit,
I wore it when I wanted a more fitted top With repeated washing, it kept shrinking Now the shoulders don’t fit anymore I tried it on—
the color has faded a lot too The shoulder position doesn’t match at all. It’s unsightly, so I’m letting it go. That’s it for the T-shirts,
now let’s look at the dresses. I used to wear dresses a lot in Vietnam,
so I still have many of them. First up is this one,
a dress made of drapey fabric. It has the shape and feel
of a satin dress. It’s very stretchy and comfortable to wear. The soft mermaid shape
fits nicely to the body, so I love it. I used to wear it with a large white shirt over it. It’s still wearable, so I’ll keep it. Next is another dress with a similar shape. I like this style too,
so I’ll keep it for now. Here’s the next dress. The waist is cinched,
so it makes you look more stylish. I had it custom-made
in the mangroves of Ho Chi Minh. It wrinkles easily,
but I love it enough to overlook the hassle, so I’ll keep wearing it. Next is a dress from MUJI. It’s easy to throw on and feels as comfy as loungewear. I wear it on days when I want to relax. Even if it gets wet, it dries instantly,
and it doesn’t wrinkle either. These clothes are perfect for travel. Since they don’t take up space, I use them for the second or third day. With no tightness,
they can also be used as pajamas. If you use them as pajamas
and wear them as clothes on the last day, you can pack less. I’ll keep using them as loungewear next year too. The last one is also a custom-made dress. I love it, but since coming back to Japan,
I haven’t worn it. I’ve started carrying two kids
on my bike more often. This dress has a long hem
and easily gets caught in the bike. It’s dangerous to wear this while carrying kids,
so I’m too scared to wear it. I’m hoping I can wear it
once the kids are a bit older, so I’m keeping it. Honestly, I know I should let go of clothes
I don’t wear “now,” but… In a few years, I’ll definitely be done with the bike. Since I love this dress,
I’ll keep it instead of forcing myself to let it go. That’s all five dresses. They’re all summer clothes,
so I’ll put them away together in the storage case. Next are pants and skirts. …Or so I thought, but there’s one more dress. A UNIQLO knit dress with a built-in bra. I loved it because it made my figure look nice. Since it’s a material I can wear in autumn with a light jacket,
I’ll keep it hanging in the closet. I ended up with a total of six dresses. I’ll put all but the knit dress into storage bins. Pulling myself together,
let’s move on to skirts and pants. I have two skirts. The first is a pencil skirt. I like it, but since it’s a tight skirt, I can’t ride a bike in it, so I don’t wear it much. It’s still in good condition,
so I’ll wear it on days I don’t ride my bike. Next is a satin skirt from UNIQLO. The shape is beautiful, so I wear it often. The color and material work for autumn too,
so I’ll keep it. Moving on to pants. These are neat-looking navy jeans. They’re still in good shape, so I’ll keep them. Next is another pair of jeans. They’re baggy and high-rise. I’m a bit unsure whether to let them go. When I’m holding my child while they’re still wearing shoes, their shoes often get my thighs dirty. Even after washing, I feel like it’s still a bit discolored… If it doesn’t show up in the video,
maybe I’m just overthinking it. If it looks discolored in the video too, I’ll let it go. (What do you think? Would you let it go?) Next are the pants I had custom-made in Kenya. I picked out the fabric at a local market, told them my preferred style and measurements, and they made them for me. They’re made of cotton, so they’re really cool to wear. Since they were tailored, they’re comfortable and light,
so I wore them a lot. I’m also happy that they’re one of a kind. They’re pretty flashy, but they’re perfect for summer and fall,
so I’ll keep them. Next, UNIQLO’s tuck wide pants. I’ve been wearing them for three to four years. For the past few years, I’ve always been using a baby carrier, so the part where the waist belt hits has gotten rubbed and faded. Can you see it in the video?
In person, it’s gotten quite white. When I’m wearing the baby carrier, it’s hidden so I don’t mind,
but since I’ll be done with it soon, when I walk without the carrier,
the fading has started to bother me. I’ve worn them so, so much,
so I think it’s time to let them go. By the way, aren’t UNIQLO’s tuck wide pants
really amazing? The shape is nice, and it works for both casual and dressy looks. It was a favorite item.
I’m letting it go with gratitude. Next is another pair of tuck wide pants. This was a bit of a failed purchase. I bought the same size as the olive pants from earlier,
but the length was too short. It looks awkward,
and it’s tight around the hips. I’m debating whether to let it go. I’ll try them on later and decide. That’s all for the pants.
I’ll hang them here later. Lastly, let’s look at the shirts. I don’t have many shirts. Vietnam was hot,
so I mostly wore dresses or T-shirts. The first one is a shirt I’ve worn since I was a student. It’s full of wrinkles because I haven’t ironed it yet… The three-quarter sleeves give it a nice silhouette,
and the neckline isn’t too open, so it’s really useful. I can still use it if I iron it,
so I’ll keep it. The next shirt
is one I bought when I started working (seven years ago). It’s easy to wear,
but the neckline is a bit wide. It’s easy to wear, but when my child pulls on it,
I’m worried about the neckline. I’ll try it on later and think about it. Next is the cardigan
It’s from UNIQLO This is the only cardigan I own right now It got a hole in it The overall fuzziness is also noticeable I’m letting it go I’ll look for a new cardigan You may have noticed
Most of my clothes are from UNIQLO When I tried to find good quality clothes that fit me in Vietnam The only options were MUJI or UNIQLO… I also tried buying cheap local clothes But most of them wore out after just two washes
because of poor quality As a result, my closet is full of UNIQLO Next, let’s move on to long sleeves This is a long-sleeve tee from GAP
It feels really nice on the skin I plan to wear it a lot this fall too Next is a shirt from UNIQLO I used to wear it over dresses Actually, I have two of the same shirt The first one got a stain that wouldn’t come out
so I bought another one Even bleaching didn’t work, so I’m letting this one go The new one I bought is nice and clean,
so I’ll wear it in autumn too. That’s my wardrobe. Now I’ll try on the clothes I’m unsure about and decide. Dresses I only wear in summer
will go into storage boxes. These are the clothes I’m unsure about.
First is the tuck wide pants. They make my hips look tight. The length is short too… I’ll let them go. Next, the jeans. The stain on the thigh isn’t as bad as I thought? I’ll put them on hold. The shirt I was worried about being too open at the chest. The size seems okay. Checking the chest area—
maybe it’s not so bad? I’ll keep it for this autumn.
If I don’t wear it, I’ll let it go in winter. Now that I’ve tried on the clothes I was unsure about,
I’ll start putting away my summer clothes. Ideally, I’d like a closet where I don’t need to switch out clothes. But since I share the closet with my husband,
I have to swap some clothes out. Also, if I leave out off-season clothes, they get in the way when I’m choosing what to wear. So I’ll just do a very simple seasonal switch. Summer dresses I don’t wear in winter
and knits I don’t wear in summer I put away things
I can say for sure I won’t need that season Clothes I can wear year-round,
like blouses and shirts, I keep out all the time When I reduce the number of clothes in my closet I like that it reduces the confusion
and visual clutter when choosing I moved from Japan to Vietnam
when I was 25, right in the middle of COVID Right up until I left for Vietnam, I was an office worker,
so all my clothes were office casual My job was in finance,
so my clothes were pretty formal Then I moved to Vietnam
and switched to a design job I had two kids,
so I no longer had a reason to wear office casual My body shape changed a bit too,
so I’m still figuring out what kind of clothes suit me After being away from Japan for five years,
I’m out of touch with brands and trends While I was in Vietnam, I mostly wore MUJI and UNIQLO I still haven’t found a brand
that really feels right for me Looking for clothes that aren’t too expensive,
are easy to move in, simple, and stylish! I’m putting away the folded summer clothes There are also winter clothes in the storage case These are thick knits and other clothes
I won’t wear in autumn yet Now that I’ve put away the summer clothes,
I’ll organize my autumn clothes Even though I’ve kept them stored,
I think some of them are in bad shape when I look again Let’s go through them one by one. This is a thin knit I bought quite a while ago. I’m a bit concerned about the wide neckline, but I think I can wear it depending on the inner layer,
so I’ll keep it. Next is a white long-sleeve T-shirt from UNIQLO. I wore this a lot last winter. I feel like it’s a little yellowed.
Is it okay? I can use it as an underlayer for layering,
so I’ll keep it. Next is the same long-sleeve T-shirt in a different color. I usually wear loose-fitting pants on my lower half, so I prefer a slimmer silhouette on top. It’s in good condition, so I’ll keep it. The last autumn item is this one.
I bought it last year. It’s a shirt dress from UNIQLO C. I can use it as a dress or as a light jacket. It’s dangerous to ride a bike while wearing it open,
so I didn’t wear it often. I’ll use it on days I don’t ride my bike or as loungewear. That’s all for the autumn clothes I kept, though it’s not much. The autumn clothes sorting is done too. I still have one short-sleeve shirt left as a summer item. Three long-sleeve T-shirts One three-quarter sleeve top One shirt dress Three blouses Two skirts in total:
a satin skirt and a pencil skirt The summer knit dress I kept Three pairs of pants,
and that’s it! My wardrobe isn’t quite minimal yet, but I want to start by searching for brands. Over the next few years,
I want to build a wardrobe that feels like me. Many of the clothes I have now
are leftovers from my life in Vietnam, and some are from over five years ago. When I find clothes that suit me best now,
I want to update my wardrobe. That was my summer decluttering
and switching to autumn clothes. If you have any favorite brands or clothes,
I’d love to hear about them! Thank you for watching until the end! I hope this was helpful
for your own decluttering and wardrobe change. Please subscribe and come visit again!
