Firefly has announced that they will switch all Boeing 737-800 operations from Subang Airport to KLIA from 19 August 2025, Existing B737 flights to Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Singapore will be moved from 22 August, meanwhile Penang flights will increase from 2 to 6 weekly on 23 Aug, 10 weekly from November, Firefly will also add new routes from Kuala Lumpur to:
Johor Bahru (23 Aug) 3 weekly
Kota Bahru (30 Aug) 3 weekly
Kuala Terengganu (30 Aug) 4 weekly
Sibu (3 Sep) 3 weekly
Tawau (19 Aug) 5 weekly
Batik Air Malaysia will begin Kuala Lumpur Subang – Kunming flights from 2 September 2025, this route will be operated 2 weekly with Boeing 737-800
