싱그러운 초여름 교토에서 1박 2일🎋 리치몬드 호텔. 청수사 소품샵 투어. 기온 카페. 교토역 맛집. 행자교에서 즐긴 한적한 산책. 야사카신사
I’m taking a train I’ve never ridden before. A sense of warmth in an unfamiliar landscape. This is my third trip to Kyoto. Kyoto always makes my heart flutter. I booked a hotel close to Kyoto Station. A more spacious and tidy accommodation than in the photos. There’s a place that comes to mind first whenever I visit Kyoto. Grill Capital Tōyōtei a place I’d visit every week if it had a store in Korea. The dish is simply composed, but the natural flavors of the ingredients shine. In the meantime, the atmosphere of the shop has become lively. Adding a fried egg was an excellent choice. I’ll definitely come back again. I’m waiting for the bus to Kiyomizu-dera. Walking wherever my feet take me. Hōkanji Temple visible in the distance. I haven’t tried dango yet. Dango with cute, round shapes. I can’t pass by when I see something cute. I have a feeling I’m going to come back loaded with shopping again… A forest that feels like Totoro might be living in it. Seeing the Osaka Expo Grand Ring reminded me of this place. Shall we try drawing an omikuji? Now that I have ChatGPT, checking translations has become much easier. Even though I got a “good fortune” (a path), I’m going to tie it up and leave it behind. It’s similar to the Expo Grand Ring, right? Youth that shines brilliantly just as it is. Now that I’m an adult, those days feel truly beautiful. It’s my first time visiting in a season other than winter, so my steps feel excited. I can’t help but stop at cute things again. A romantic keyring shared by only two people among 8 billion. This branch has a beautiful courtyard. The interior is clean, and there’s also a second floor. Sadly, the magic I felt when I tasted it two years ago didn’t come back this time. Hōkanji Temple is located on Sannen-zaka. Savoring memories of a journey through its delicate fragrance is a beautiful way to hold onto the past. Should I buy this one, or should I buy that one? There’s definitely a difference, haha. A shop selling kimonos. I bought a well-crafted rattan bag. I walked all the way to Yasaka Shrine. People visit shrines to make wishes. At this shrine, people pray to ward off illness and wish for family harmony. It is also the center of the Kyoto Gion Festival. I’m curious about the Gion Festival, so I’d like to come back. – No one’s here at all. – The day-trippers are heading home now. – Looks like a lot of shops have closed. – Well, it’s kinda closing time. – Right, this is it. Looking for the cherry blossom path in Gion. It’s not cherry blossom season, but it’s still charming. Planning to visit a nearby cafe tomorrow afternoon. The Kamo River, perfect for enjoying summer nights. Walking along Ponchoto Street, we popped into a tempura bowl shop. The staff spoke Korean really well. She said she learned Korean because she likes K-pop. They liked me for being Korean, so I felt a bit shy, haha. – Mmm. They fry really well. Watching sake being poured to the brim (so fascinating). Finished off with ochazuke. Healing to the sound of water flowing now and then. Kyoto Station is busy even late at night. I don’t usually go to bar-style places. Had a nice chat, it was a fun experience. Looks like the weather’s nice today. Off to meet beautiful Kyoto. Walking upstream along a small river. I’ve been wanting to walk this path. Sometimes I think about what it’d be like to live in Kyoto. I love how quietly and calmly life flows in Kyoto. my hands are sweating from the tension, haha. Looks like they’re enjoying a little swim, right? Back in Gion Shirakawa, where I visited last night. Planning to try Kyoto’s summer dessert. Taking in the scenery while waiting. This traditional house café feels like a journey back in time. Shall we take a quick look around? Made with bracken starch, it’s like a mix between rice cake and jelly. The texture was fascinating. There are so many places I want to visit when I travel. I end up moving around busily, though. Kyoto somehow feels so healing. – It’s a curry place. – You came here? (Surprised) Just walking along the scenery, it leads me to the places I want to go. It felt cozy, like eating a meal at home. The matcha salt has a unique charm, too. Where did the door handle go…? I stepped into a cafe with a cute name. The visuals are great, and the crepes taste pretty good too. I finished it all quickly. The way back is always a bit bittersweet. I’ve decided to come back to see the Kyoto Matsuri.
