製作総指揮ジェームズ・ガン！
“過激派ヒーロー”ピースメイカーの活躍を描くスピンオフシリーズ
好評の映画『スーパーマン』のジェームズ・ガン監督が企画・製作総指揮し、シーズン1の全8話の脚本を担当し、計5話で監督を務めたヒーロードラマのシーズン2が上陸。「ワイルド・スピード」シリーズでジェイコブ・トレット役を演じるタフガイスターのジョン・シナが、『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結』や本作の前シーズンに続いて主人公ピースメイカー役を演じる。
スターフィッシュ計画の後、新たな仲間たちである“イレブン・ストリート・キッズ”のエミリア（ジェニファー・ホランド）、エコノモス（スティーヴ・エイジー）、アデバヨ（ダニエル・ブルックス）らと組んだピースメイカーが、バタフライ計画に巻き込まれた前シーズン。ヒーローとして再就職をめざす一方、 『〜“極”悪党、集結』でピースメイカーが暗殺したリック・フラッグ（ジョエル・キナマン）の父親、フラッグ・シニア（フランク・グリロ）が登場。息子の復讐のため、ピースメイカーを狙ってきそうだ。
名物のアクションがスケールアップしているなど見せ場を満載。また、『スーパーバッド 童貞ウォーズ』のグレッグ・モットーラ監督も参加するなど、大いに楽しめそうだ。
見どころ1：ジェームズ・ガン監督が仕掛ける遊び心たっぷりの趣向
今夏の映画界を沸かせた『スーパーマン』のジェームズ・ガン監督がショーランナーを務める本作だが、そんな『スーパーマン』には本作のピースメイカーが一瞬だけ登場するという、遊び心たっぷりの趣向があった。そしてなんとこの「ピースメイカー」シーズン2は『スーパーマン』の続編になる模様。どうなるか、気になる！
見どころ2：出演作が目白押しの人気者、ジョン・シナに注目
プロレスラー出身のジョン・シナは、今やハリウッドで注目の的に。第96回アカデミー賞では、ほぼ全裸の姿で衣装デザイン賞のプレゼンターを務めて笑いを誘った。今後も人気ミニカーの世界を『タイラー・レイク ー命の奪還ー』のサム・ハーグレイブ監督が映画化する『マッチボックス（原題）』など、出演予定が目白押しだ。
注目キャラクター：ピースメイカー（ジョン・シナ）
狙撃や格闘が得意。『〜“極”悪党、集結』で死にかけたが復活。平和（ピース）のためならなんでもしていいという過激な考え方の持ち主だったが、“イレブン・ストリート・キッズ”と組んで人間性を取り戻せるのか！？
