SHORT EASY ABSTRACT POLYGEL NAILS! BEGINNER FRIENDLY NAIL ART & 3D GEL NAIL DESIGN | Nail Tutorial

[Music] Hey guys and welcome back to my channel. Welcome if you’re new. Make sure you hit that subscribe button and let’s get right into this video. Right. Right. So, my beloved nails. Um, clearly someone’s missing here. Why does it still look good with just three fingers? Anyways, I’m back to do another nail set. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to take off my beautiful Lisa Frank nails that I literally love so much. I’ve had these on I think like 5 days now. I’ve enjoyed them. What happened to the pinky nail? I accidentally closed my pinky nail in a door. I was closing a door and then my pinky nail got caught in it and it hurts so bad. I still left her on. She was still stuck on yesterday. I took her off my pinky nail. I mean, it doesn’t hurt too bad right now. We’ve got to do some new nails today. I want to do some abstract, easy, beginner friendly, colorful, summer polyel nails. So, these unfortunately have to go. I don’t want them. Even without the pinky nail, I still love them. I went and retrieved the pinky nail. If only I could just glue it back on like she never left. Yeah, I should have just started the video like this so I didn’t look so crazy. Anyways, what’s happening? What is this video? Um, sorry. It’s like 10 PM right now and I honestly didn’t think I was going to do any nails today, but if I didn’t do nails, I wouldn’t get a video up for you guys for another few days. So, like, let me get to work. I think I’m just sad to part with them right now. Let me actually do what I’m supposed to be here for. So, let’s go ahead and get started by removing our beloved sweet, sweet nails. I’m using the gel remover from Jello Jello cuz I have a Jello Jello peel off base coat on right now. And I’m just going to soak the cuticle area and let that seep in. I got a comment in one of whatever other video where I was using this and someone was like like, “Girl, you know that’s just cuticle oil.” What? cuticle oil. I’m sorry. This is not cuticle oil. This is a remover. It’s some sort of chemical. And I would not dare use this as cuticle oil. Like look at it. It’s like not cuticle oil. Anyway, sorry that was just kind of funny. Like yeah, it looks like cuticle oil, but it is definitely not. Goodbye. Oh, I think I’m just going to keep this nail set in like the corner of the video the whole time. I I can’t part with them, guys. Also, Jello Jello peel off base coat works the best only if you wear the nails for a little bit because when I was coming back from my break, I was using the Jello Jello because I forgot how strong it was. Did not come off easily cuz I would take them off like the day after I did my nails were struggling to come off. Best use for Jello Jell-O is if you actually wear your nails for a few days. Wow. Beautiful. A great blank canvas. There we go. The nails are all popped off, guys. I got this dispenser thing from I think Sheen. And it just works horribly. Like I think I might be a little dumb, but I don’t get it. I’m doing this and nothing coming out. It starts to fill up under here for some reason. Like under this and then No, cuz I need to show you this cuz I need someone’s help. Like why is it squirting out from that little hole there? I need somebody to explain. I need help. Like, the only way this thing works is if you spam it. I don’t get it. I don’t get it. Someone help me. I don’t know what I bought. Okay. The smell too strong. I can’t bear to part with these. I can’t just throw them in my nail candy container just like they’re nothing. They need to stay here at the top of the vid the whole time. Okay, let’s try and get something done, please. So, I’m going to start off with some nail prep. So, I’m just going to push back the cuticles. And since I just removed the old nails, they might have like a little bit of leftover product kind of stuck near the cuticle area. I just make sure to wipe around there as well with the scraper part to get up any of those little bits. [Music] Next, I’m just going to keep this nail prep pretty simple. And I’m just going to trim off any of the excess dead skin from around the cuticle area. But since I just did my nails, they’re not too bad. And then that’s probably all the nail prep I’m going to do. [Music] [Music] Ow. Okay, so that’s it for my nail prep. Now I’m just going to add on a peel off base coat because I don’t really want these to last that long and I just need them to easily pop off. So going to put on some cuticle oil. Now this is cuticle oil. And then getting a old top coat that you don’t care about. And I’m just going to paint a layer of this over the nails. And this will create our DIY peel off base coat. [Music] Would anybody be mad if I did more duck nails? I’m just in like the duck nail mood. And I’m going to make these short so they’re not going to be that exaggerated. Just something subtle. So, I’m just going to glue these duck nails on with some base coat. And I’ve got my UV flashlight here. Yeah, I want these to be really short, so they’re not going to be like super exaggerated. I’m trying to think if I can even do this design if it’s short, but I’m pretty sure I can. I’m like kind of tired, guys. Like, clearly, it’s like 10:00 p.m. and I don’t know. So, that’s probably why. But, I do still want to do these nails. I still want to get a video up for you guys and I’m super excited to use some more mochi gel. [Music] Okay, duck nails are all glued on. So, since I use a peel off base coat, I’m just going to reinforce these a little bit. So, I like to put another layer over the natural nail and then kind of over where the tip starts just to add a little bit of strength, maybe some extra grip. So, hopefully the nails don’t pop off. Oh, please don’t say foreshadowing on the screen. I just don’t think I can take that right now. Next, I’m going to use my tip cutter. And oh, actually, this thumbnail is way too big to fit in the tip cutter. So, got to pull out the handy dandy scissors. Maybe I’ll just use scissors for the whole No. How long do we want these? Not that long. Why is this like barely glued down? Oh, whatever. Hopefully, it doesn’t pop off. That’s like good. Yeah. Uh-oh. Here comes my little rat assistant. What’s up? Damn it. Here to join. No, I was here to bring you downstairs to eat. Oh, but you’re busy. I’m busy making a living. Working hard or hardly working. Am I right? I’m the hardly working guy in this sentence. Nails are trimmed down. Now, I think I’m going to add the crescent moon shape a little bit to these tips. Subtle though. Oh, great. Uh, it’s not even not even subtle. It went overboard. Okay. Well, that’s going to have to do. Next, I’m just going to file in the sides a little bit. Don’t want these to be super flared. They’re barely going to be flared. That’s what I want. Okay. And while I’m here, I’m just going to file over the tips of the nails and remove the shine. And finally, let’s add on the last full layer of base coat over these. So, we are going to get into this polyel application now. And of course, I’m going to use some mochi gel. Since my last video where I got to try mochi gel for the first time, I really love it. I’m just really excited to use the other colors that I didn’t get to use. Also, I just wanted to mention something about Mochi Gel. for my last video while I was linking everything. When I checked the Mochi Gel website, there were a few colors left for pre-order, but a lot of stuff was out of stock. And now, if you check the website, Mochi Gel gives an update that she will be restocking in September. Okay, actually, I have a little bit of another update. As I’m editing this video, I checked the Mochi Gel website again. There’s actually a couple bundles in stock right now, and the rest of the colors are available for pre-order. I’m not sure if that’ll change by the time you’re seeing this video. Just make sure to check out the website if you guys are interested. We all just have to be patient and wait for Yana to restock our beloved mochi gel. Anyway, so I just wanted to let you guys know that if anyone was interested. Okay, so first off, I got my slip solution. I’m using 91% isopropyl alcohol. And then for my base color today, in the last video I used the color rouge, which was a really beautiful nude shade, and I think that’s like my favorite one. But today, I wanted to try bare. This one is this color right here. I still think it’s going to be really good. It’s just the slightest hint more on the warm tone side, just like the slightest bit. So, I want to try that today. And I’m super excited to use the Mochi gel using the one bead method. Just one bead over the whole nail and smoothing it out because if you guys watched the first time I tried mochi gel, we were just doing French tips, which was, you know, the Lisa Frank nails that I showed you guys in the beginning. Anyway, so I didn’t get to see the polyel being used in like my usual way. So now I’m super excited. I’m super excited. And my polyel brush, I’m just using my normal one. I always use my super big brush. So let’s get started. I’m going to do one. Okay. This is like a perfect color, too. Okay. No. Like to have multiple nude shades that are so good. So lucky. Like it’s so lucky. So I’m going to push this polyel back towards the cuticle area. It’s just so nice. Sorry. It’s like I don’t mean to be so surprised and like impressed. This video is not another review on Mochi Gel. This video is about the nail design, but it’s just it’s it’s only my second time using mochi gel. Okay, I just can’t get over it. This color is so cute. Like, it it almost makes me not want to put the nail design over it. I kind of just want one color. Is that a crime to want one color? Okay. Like, this color is really cute. It has like that nice pinky like tint to it. It’s just so so cute. Like this is a good color to just be like on your nails. No design. Give me a call when you get a chance. [Music] Okay, look at that. I don’t know how to describe it, but it feels sturdy. I don’t know why that’s the word that’s coming to my mind, but it’s like it feels sturdy. You can just hold its shape so good. And I don’t know, just feels like crisp, you know? And it’s just so easy to smooth out. And oh, what a good color, too. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh no. Oh no. Oh gosh. Okay, I’m going to cure those and then not cure the thumbnail with the glob on it. Oh, that’s just funny. [Music] Thank you for your service, Mochi Gel. So, I’m going to wipe off all the nails from that sticky layer. Can you hear it? It feels I don’t know. Like, I just know it just going to be easy to shape. Do you know like that texture which I love cuz it just feels sturdy. I don’t know how else to describe it. It just feels strong. Okay, so we’re going to get shaping. I’m going to use my hand file and yeah, I’m going to shape up these nails. Just file over the sides. And then I’m going to go in with my nail drill and file the tip of the nail just to clean it up a bit. Oh, this is such a cute color. I just want to leave it like this, but I also do want to do the design, you know? [Music] Okay, so we’ve got the nails nice and shaped. Now, we are going to start on the nail art. Okay, so I’ve got my gel polishes, but the first thing I’m going to do is use this clear sculpting gel. Um, okay. I like to work on the cap of this thing cuz it doesn’t stick to it. So, what we’re going to do, did I even show you the nail art design? No, I don’t think so. So, here’s the nail design that I want to do today. It’s colorful. It’s summery. It’s abstract. I really wanted to do this thing with the 3D gel because I haven’t done it in a while and I just really want to do it. So, to do it, you basically need to roll out little strips of this sculpting gel. I’m trying to use this pencil thing. I’m trying to see if it’s even worked or not. I don’t know. Cuz sometimes you can get away with using your glove if you’re moving fast. Like it can’t get stuck in any of the crevices of your glove, you know? Also, the polyel shaped so nicely. I think what I’m trying to say is like it feels like acrylic. Like it feels super strong. It doesn’t feel as soft as like Mart polyel for example. But then again it’s like I don’t use acrylic so I don’t really know. But that’s like the only way I can describe it. So yeah, it was like super easy to shake. Okay. Hopefully that one’s long enough. Okay. Well, let’s start trying to stick this down. How do people do this? I think my nails being short doesn’t help either. [Music] Okay, I made a great mistake. Oh, [Music] maybe I regret this. Maybe I regret this. [Music] Literally, what am I doing? Okay, I just don’t think this strip is long enough. Also, this is supposed to be easy. Okay, you know what, guys? This might not be beginner friendly like one had hoped. This is hard. Okay, I’m going to admit it. It’s hard and I’m struggling and I think I might give up. Oh, yeah, guys. It’s just not working out. Um, it’s just not working out. Like, I don’t know. Okay, you know what? I think I might be making it too complicated. Like I’m trying to make it too squiggly, but look how short my nails are. I just don’t think that’s possible for me. Let’s keep this simple. Let’s just make a very easy squiggly line. Doesn’t have to be super squiggly. It’s also like not sticking to my nail, which is causing it to be like hard. I’m going to put a top coat on it first and see if that’ll help it stick better. And you know what? We’re going to do this on the thumbnail. Let’s make the thumbnail the tester now. I don’t know why I want to test it on the pointer finger. Hopefully, this will help the gel stick better. I don’t know. Or maybe this is just my sign to leave the nail set blame. No, no, no. Oh my gosh. I wasn’t even recording it. Oh, okay. Well, I just need to say that the top coat worked. It stuck down instantly with the top coat. I did this in one try and basically that it was just user error and it actually is beginner friendly if you actually do the right steps. So, yeah, you got to put a layer of top coat on there. so that the sculpting gel can stick to the nail better and you don’t have to actually touch it and it’ll just literally swirl into its own pattern. Anyways, going to cure that really quickly. Yay, we figured it out. So, it actually is beginner friendly. Like, I’m not lying to you guys. Just make sure you put on a layer of top coat before you do the 3D art. So, let’s get rolling out more of these strips of the sculpting gel. roll. Yeah. Yay, we finally got them done. Okay, it wasn’t too hard once you get the hang of it and you figure out rolling it. My glove did get messed up, but anyway, it wasn’t too hard and uh you know, it was satisfying to do. So, we’ve got those parts on. And now the last thing we have to do is just paint them. So, we’re going to paint them and then we’re also going to paint, you know, the tips of the nails. So, I’m going to do orange on the thumbnail, I think. Basically, you can paint the whole tip of the nail, you know, in the outline of the squiggle thing. Wait. No, it’s not supposed to be orange on the thumbnail. It’s supposed to be Okay, it’s supposed to be yellow on the thumbnail. So, I actually did have a neon yellow, but I actually don’t know where it is. It’s supposed to be from this Mart whatever collection this was. And yeah, it’s just gone. So, we’re just going to have to use this this shade of yellow. [Music] And I’m just following the squiggly line with the nail art brush. And then one thing that you want to make sure of is you don’t want the gel polish to be flooding right here like in these parts. So, you definitely want to make sure you, you know, make everything look even. I might have to do two coats cuz like this color is not really opaque. Okay. And then on the pointer finger, this one is neon green. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Okay, we are finally Done with the nail art. And now we are just going to finish these off with some top coat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Okay, last we’re going to add on some cuticle oil. [Music] Okay. And here are how the nails turned out. So, I actually really like these. I think they’re super cute and colorful and abstract. Yeah, I like how they turned out. These nails I started at around 10:30 and finished at exactly 1:00 a.m. So, about 2 and 1/2 hours, I think these nails took me. But that feels like a really short amount of time. I feel like I’ve been sitting here for a while. I think because they’re short and the polyel was super easy to use and they were really easy to shape. So, I think that all helped. It made the time go by faster. But the nail art did kind of take me a while. It’s kind of up for debate. I feel like if this is actually beginner friendly or not. Like the design is simple, but I feel like the squiggly lines took some trial and error and then painting on the gel polish. Like I had to do two coats on them and that felt like it took so long. It wasn’t hard, but some of the steps did take me a bit of time. But I do like how they turned out. I like how they look. Just a simple little summer nail design. It was fun, though. I did like to do the squiggly lines with the 3D nail art. Yeah, it did take me a little bit, but it was fun, so I didn’t mind. Yeah, these nails are just pretty cool. So, I’m really happy with them. I think they’re super cute. And also, let me know in the comments if you would consider these as duck nails or not. I did use duck nail tips, but I wanted them to be super subtle, like barely duck nailed. Let me know what you guys think. Do I miss my Lisa Frank nails, though? Yes. And that has nothing to do with this nail set. I just was not ready to part with those nails yet. There they are. So, there we have it. Another simple summer polyel nail set for you guys. You know, August is going by very fast already. And once we hit September, like no more summer nails. Oh, that’s sad. I’m going to miss summer nails. So, I’m trying to get as many done as I can. But that is pretty much it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed this one. Make sure you like, comment, and subscribe. And I will talk to you guys next time. Bye. [Music] Hey.

  1. I think your press bottle is defective sadly, cause I have a pink one from shein that works well. That's the thing with shein, you can find literal gems but there are some duds in the mix as well.

  2. It’s a trouble product lol I got mine literally from my local dollar tree and it was act a dollar….25🙄. She’s kinda mini but I love it so much

  3. If that remover was actually cuticle oil, don’t you think your nails would’ve come off after you applied cuticle oil at the end?? Some people say the most ignorant things lol

  4. I loved these because I missed the way you used to do your extended nailers with the poly gel instead of gel. These brought back the memories of your perfect poly gel frenchies. Do more of them please

  5. i just placed an order for mochi gel! i’m super excited to try it. p.s could you make a video on how you shape your nails? they always turn out soo crispy 😍❤️

  6. Why when you get a nail book so you can put all your nice nails in the book then you can see them all the time and if you want to wear them again you can❤

  7. Okay might not be my business but you sound down in the video ( less excited ) I hope everything is well and we definitely appreciate the back to back videos but please take care of yourself
