      in all my years of watching nishikori, i have never said this, but … i wish he would show more emotion out there. he is so loved everywhere he goes, and clearly he's found it hard trying to break onto the tour again, but at this late stage in his career i feel like he leaves so much crowd energy on the table. he doesn't have to be crazy demonstrative, but imagine he did even a fraction of what murray, wawrinka, monfils have done as they've aged and the crowds know they might be seeing the last of a legend. raise your arms or something after a tough hold, i dunno. it makes a difference.

      Second time I've seen Kei hit a monster one-handed backhand passing shot. This one was a crosscourt rocket. The other one he hit was against Federer in the 2015 London World Tour Finals, and he spanked one down the line on the full stretch. He can hit full blooded backhands with either two hands or one hand, it's that good.

      Kei has always been slightly shorter than most players and now he is a lot older it just catches up with him, you can see him lumbering out there in only set 2, he's close to retirement and that makes me sad. One of my favorites.

      Nishikori lays is a great product of tennis ..still sad we could not witnessed his clash with alcaraz in RG because of his withdrawal

      Nishikori seemed uninterested. I wonder if he is affected by the scandal of his alleged affair with the Uniqlo model.
