This time, Numpla Brother is heading to Kut Island in southeastern Thailand, continuing from the last trip. This island near the Cambodian border is known for its untouched nature and some of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. In the previous video, we introduced recommended beaches on the southeastern part of the island. In this video, we’ll explore the island’s natural attractions, including waterfalls and giant trees. What kind of places will we find? Let’s go explore with Numpla Brother! Good morning, it’s Numpla! Today, we’re heading to the waterfall. We want to explore the inland areas of the island. Yeah! Let’s go together! 🛵 Let’s go! There’s a “Ko Kut” monument in front of the beach. This place is also really beautiful! Such an amazing beach! This is incredible too! The beach stretches straight ahead endlessly. 🏖️ Nice! This place is awesome! Let’s take a little walk. 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶 This is a long beach. It’s high tide now, so the water level is up. The beach continues all the way over there. Wow, this beach is huge! Is this the most popular beach on the island? 🏖️ Not sure, what do you think? This seems like the most accessible beach! It’s really close to the road. Other beaches were harder to reach from the main road, right? For those, we had to ride bikes through steep and gravelly paths. But they were so beautiful that it was worth the effort. This is what this beach is like. 🏖️ A very beautiful beach. There are also stylish shops like this on the island. Is this the main road of Kut Island? Yes, it’s right near the beach we just saw—great atmosphere. There’s a bank ATM here where we can withdraw money. Convenient! There’s also a restaurant next to it—this is the town center. Yeah! So beautiful! This is a river, but it connects to the sea over there. It’s a really wide river. It really is! Are these mangrove forests growing here? Yeah, and there are kayaks, so it looks like we can explore from here. The mangrove forests seem to stretch all the way over there. This area has such a nice vibe! Super cool! So pretty! Amazing! Great spot. We’ve reached the beach area! This place also has a fantastic atmosphere. We’re exploring every corner of the island’s beaches. Yeah, we are. Most people probably relax at the beach near their accommodation. Meanwhile, we’re wandering around exploring the whole island. I can’t rest unless I know what the whole place is like. Exactly, same here. We want to compare everything and find the best beach. We’re not the type to just relax on the island. True. Such a beautiful place! ✨ The vibe of a beach changes depending on the nearby accommodations. Yeah! The beach atmosphere totally changes. So beautiful!! This beach is also gorgeous! This beach is about the same size as the previous one. There’s also a pier here where boats can dock. 🛥️ Every beach here is like a paradise beyond expectations. 👼 So beautiful! ✨ The stunning ocean stretches as far as the eye can see! Amazing! This is incredible! It’s hard to pick the best beach, right? With our videos, you can find your favorite beach. Yeah! After watching this, you’ll feel confident visiting this island. Each beach offers a different level of relaxation. True. Some are better for swimming, some for snorkeling, things like that. Each beach has its own charm—it’s fascinating. The forest is really dense here! There are accommodations even in these mountains. So nice! Turn right at the next dead end. This road is beautiful too! Yeah! Look at this view! (He seems to love scenery without people.) It’s cool in the morning—great atmosphere. Yeah, we might have biked pretty high up the mountain. The scenery is stunning! Sunlight filters through the humid forest. 🌳 So dreamy! We’re riding along a red dirt road. The forest is so dense! 🌳 Wow! A huge tree is hidden deep inside—it’s coming into view. Cool! What kind of tree is this? Never seen it before. Makes you want to pray to it. 🙏 Excuse us! Wait, isn’t this tree too big? Can’t even see the top! Whoa, what is this?! The tree roots stretch out so long. This is incredible! Feels like rare footage! This tree has lived here forever—it’s like the guardian of the island. 🌳 It must have watched over this island for ages. You look wrapped in ribbon-like roots. Like a beanstalk. Amazing! Is this an ancient tree? This isn’t a type of tree common in Japan. Look how huge the ridges of the roots are! ◆ Compared to Numpla’s height, the roots are massive. Spiral vines are also coiled around the tree—so cool. The vines have such an interesting shape! The inside of the tree looks hollow! The inside is fascinating too! Maybe these are like the tree’s legs. Too big. How many meters tall is it? There’s a termite nest here. 🐜 Termites have built a nest out of dirt next to the tree. The tree forms a roof-like canopy. Incredible! We’ve arrived at the Makayak tree. Probably a huge tree! 🌳 Let’s check this out too! Look at this! 👀 These vines have spike-like thorns. Maybe they’re to keep animals from climbing? Cool! First time seeing this! These vines are prickly like cacti! Monk robes are wrapped around the tree. Is it a sacred tree? Excuse us. There must be an incredible tree deeper inside! Forest bathing here would be nice. A huge tree is coming into view! 🌳 This is amazing! A mystical sight unfolds. The tree is so tall we can’t see the top! Looks like multiple trees fused together. So mysterious! Several trunks split here. But they’re connected further up. We’ve arrived at the waterfall entrance! Yeah! Let’s go in right away. Wow! This is an island, right? Yeah, but the forest is surprisingly deep. Before coming here, we thought it was just sandy beaches. But it’s completely different from what we imagined. The mountains are so dense! Maybe it rains constantly here during the wet season! That’s why the plants are so lush. It’s dry season now—must be tough for them. Yeah. There are quite a few stairs. Yeah. This path is well-maintained! It really is. I hear the waterfall! Are we almost there? The cicadas sound beautiful. So pretty! Wow! So beautiful! Different kinds of butterflies are gathering here. They must be replenishing minerals and water! We’re walking along a rocky path! Each rock is huge and uneven! 🪨 The area near the waterfall pool looks like a cave! The waterfall has an interesting terrace-like rock formation. It’s dry season, so the water flow is low. A local told us that in August, the water fills up completely—totally different scenery. These rocks get fully submerged then. The water volume changes drastically between seasons. Nature is amazing! 🌳 Now I want to come back in August. Looks like they sell various things here! Any drinks? Everything sold here is so cute. There are dresses and clothes too. They sell souvenir snacks here. We bought some snacks. They also have black pepper drying outside! Everything’s organic—feels great. A delicious-looking larb (spicy minced pork salad) arrived. 🍽️ They’re using freshly picked herbs. 🌿 The back looks like an organic farm. Yeah! There’s a farm behind this shop! Amazing. ✨ “Itadakimasu!” (Japanese phrase expressing gratitude for food) The dish is packed with mint! 🌿 Looks super tasty! Let’s eat! The herbs blend perfectly with the juicy pork—so delicious. Nice. We made the right choice ordering this! So good! There’s a vegetable that tastes like cilantro! The flavor is strong! Delicious! Next dish: stir-fried morning glory! 🥬 “Itadakimasu!” These veggies must’ve been freshly picked! Let’s eat! The greens are so crisp. 🥬 Seasoned with oyster sauce. 🧂 And the aroma of toasted garlic. 🧄 So tasty! Every dish has a refreshing flavor. Yeah! The staff said they use organic veggies from their farm. Farm-to-table dining at its best. 🍽️ Delicious. 😋 Interesting! Left is black pepper, right is green pepper. Green pepper ripens into black pepper. Butterfly pea flowers for tea are also drying here. There’s a papaya tree! Used in som tam (Thai papaya salad). I want som tam! The garden is stylish and lovely. It says “homestay,” so you can stay here. Next time, I’d like to stay in a place like this. Yeah. Seems like a great experience. I want to learn more about Thai organic farming. There are herbs and mint here. 🌿 The mint we ate probably came from here. Green onions are planted next to it. They even have a greenhouse. Looks like hydroponics! That’s parsley! They’re growing lettuce too! The larb with fresh herbs was incredible. ✨ The coconut juice was great too. 🥥 Probably harvested nearby. 🌴 They’re growing pineapples here. 🍍 Nice! Baby pineapples are sprouting at the top! Really! So that’s how they grow. Fascinating. So pretty! Really nice! The insect sounds are beautiful. This way? I see some kind of facility. Maybe the parking lot? This parking area is well-maintained. We’ve arrived at Khlong Chao Waterfall’s entrance. This seems to be the entrance. It’s a trekking course. Now we’ll walk toward the waterfall. The cicadas here sound like UFOs—so beautiful. So nice!! Amazing atmosphere. This path is well-kept and wonderful. Yeah! The entrance was free too. Such a lovely sound. I thought cicadas sing in the evening—is it rare for them to sing during the day? It depends on the species. The ones here sing in cool, dense mountain forests. I see. I’ve never heard them in populated areas. Yeah. They sing high in the trees, so we can’t see them—too bad. True. The trees here are extremely tall. 🌳 If we set up a light trap at dusk, insects might gather. 💡 I’d love to try that. We might see rare insects we’ve never seen before. Parasitic plants grow on the tree’s side. So beautiful. ✨ Gorgeous!! A sign points toward the waterfall. ⬅️ The terrain here is fascinating. The rocks are massive. The underwater terrain was like this too. Now that you mention it! We went snorkeling near our beach earlier—the underwater rocks looked like this. There were many smooth, flat rocks. Incredible. Huge rocks everywhere. 🪨 Wow! The downstream area also has many flat rocks. The terrain here is interesting. Each rock is enormous. Feels like we’ve shrunk. The rocks look like platforms. Yeah! Such unique shapes! Those curtain-like trees over there are fascinating. Looks like a forest from Princess Mononoke. This is true wilderness. 🌳 And there are fish swimming in the stream below. 🐟 The fish are transparent and beautiful. We’ve reached our destination. There’s the waterfall!! Look at this stunning view! Amazing. It’s incredible that nature created this!! This place is wonderful. A perfect spot to relax. Totally agree. He’s swinging on vines like Tarzan and jumping into the water. Looks so fun! This is how you play in nature! Only possible in untouched places like this. Nice! Looks fun. Why don’t you jump in too? Fantastic! Numpla is standing under the waterfall. Looked like so much fun! I also stood under the waterfall. Unlike seawater, freshwater makes your body sink more. Swimming in freshwater is tiring. Was the water cold? No, the pool’s temperature was perfect for me. By the way, there were fish like doctor fish. 🐠 When I put my feet in, they nibbled at them. That’s interesting! The doctor fish came to my feet. Ouch, ouch! The fish are clearly visible! Amazing! The fish are eating his feet. 🦶🐠 Today is our last day on Kut Island. We’re heading to our favorite, Ao Jak Beach, to watch the sunset. Another day comes to an end. 🙏 Goodbye, sun. 🌅 [The next day] Now we’re heading to the pier by songthaew. 🛻 Leaving this island makes me so sad. Sad, isn’t it? We’ve arrived at Kut Island’s pier. We’re in front of the ticket center. We’ll board the boat from behind here. Is that our boat over there? Probably. Let’s go. Yeah. I don’t want to leave. This trip was amazing from start to finish. The trip is nearing its end. Yeah. Getting home safely is part of the journey. The trip isn’t over until you’re back. It’ll take about 6-7 hours to Bangkok from here. Yeah.
