Very entertaining with a splendid cast. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  3. I really wish I could like Ingrid Bergman as she is in some great films ..I just always feel like I'm watching someone whose acting, I know that sounds daft because she is 😂..maybe it's her style I can't get away with ..I feel the same when I'm watching Gary Cooper…we all have our favourites I guess ..I love finding these golden oldies from the 30s,40s and 50s…

  4. Before the Romanovs were transported to Siberia and all murdered there, the commoners in Russia declared that Nicholas was God and used to pray to him for their welfare……all of the Romanov kin were also murdered, as the Bolsheviks were determined that Russia would never again be governed by a Monarchy. I recall when their remains were discovered in a pit in the woods, back in the 1980’s or ‘90’s.

  5. Anna Anderson couldnt speak a word of Russian. Even a traumatic, tragic event would not make somebody forget their own language. It should have been a dead give away that Anna Anderson was not Anastasia. Anastasia was a Russian Princess, theres no way shed forget her own language.

  6. Ingrid its a very special actress with a lot of Sensibility, Talent and she has her own Gift ant way to act.
I just love her on All her movies!!

  7. Ingrid was born in 1915. So by the time she made this movie, she was nearly forty one years old. And still looked like a girl. Although the movie shows Anastasia to be ten years older than when her family was murdered. Which she would have been 28. Ingrid looks older than 28, but not a great deal. She and Yul Brynner played their parts well. Yul was actually a Russian/American anyway. So the part fit him. Even by today's standards, this was quite a good movie.
