  1. It was a nice show. It started out slow but it was important because we needed to see the descent of her transformation into the Dump Matsumoto

  2. when is netflix going to fire these awful translators for the subs? please hire someone who doesn’t change the translations into something completely different. hire some proper japanese translators if these non native people can’t even do their job- i’ve seen the names.

28:53 into the first episode, example:

“i shouldn’t be here “ is an incorrect translation of, “what am i doing here?”
    this is so annoying.

  3. They can't decide if this is fiction or non-fiction lol. Why are they pretending that wrestling is real? Saying not all fights are scripted, wrestlers going "off script" and winning matches they shouldn't by force. Everybody knows this is nonsense, also Dump just walks out and starts brutalising people without the promoter knowing anything and she wrecks a match? That never happened and it doesn't happen.

Shame on Netflix for insulting my intelligence by acting like this is a factual biopic and then including fictional elements to pretend the fights were real.

  5. Japanese women's wrestling was as big as male wrestling during the 80s and early 90s in Japan. Some of these women are still looked up by current stars around the world. I am glad they are finally being recognized and their stories showcased.

  6. I remember one of my friend’s dads said I was always the nicest kid in the world and would be too difficult to be anything other than a good guy. After my dad died when I was twelve and we were about to graduate high school, I was over at my friend’s house. My attitude changed from this nice guy to one who would not tolerate disrespect in the slightest and take on any fight put in front of me. He asked me if I remembered what I said and I said yeah. Then he told me now I could be the most brutal of heels when me and my friends would wrestle like Dump Matsumoto. That was 2003 and I was 18. I have been watching wrestling since 1990. My relatives had tapes from all over the world and would let me watch when I was being watched by them. Had a huge crush on Lioness Asuka and always had great admiration for all those girls. When I wrestled with friends I tried to use similar technical moves with strikes. It was so much fun. Glad these ladies are getting their flowers.
