「この役者さん素晴らしい」と思った注目の若手俳優はいるかと聞かれた大竹は「この間『海のはじまり』という作品で目黒蓮くんと一緒にやって、その前も吉沢亮くんとやったんですけど、やっぱり今の若い役者さんたちってすごい真面目で。2人とも全然タイプは違うんですけど、素敵でした」と『海のはじまり』で共演した目黒と、同局系ドラマ『PICU 小児集中治療室』（2022・2024）で共演した吉沢亮の名前を挙げた。
何かお芝居について話したことはあるかと問われると「あんまり…バカなことばっかり話してる。『お腹空いた』とか」とお茶目な一面が。『海のはじまり』では「蓮くんは本当に真面目だったから最初に出会った時に喫茶店のシーンだったんですけど、私に緊張しているのか役に入っているのか分からなくて『どうしよう、話しかけていいのかな』って」と真剣な表情の目黒に戸惑ったという。
