Thank you for talking about the stereotypes Americans hold, Sawai. Since you're a New Zealander, you seem familiar with Western biases, but among Japanese people, there's no opinion that Japanese women are quiet.

Hi Japanese single mum living in Australia here. We just shut our mouth because we tend to be patient and don't want any conflict with anyone. However, our mentality is very strong. Especially when we have kids. We can do most house errands, work, give most care for kids without constant sleep. Never complaints. Unfortunately, many people took advantage of our abilities and kindness even though their husbands do.
I think it's so boring if the Japanese women became like the Western women. The wester women are very assertive…sometimes too much! I like to be little reserved, I don't wanna people to categorize us to be victims 😮
