– I feel like I can’t wait to actually walk the carpet ‘cause it’s quite stunning. – I know. And you’re here representing India in a sari. A beautiful sari at that. – Thank you. – Who designed this? – So this is designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It is my second time at the Met, but my first time wearing a sari. And when I thought of the dress code, Garden of Time, I felt like it needed something timeless, and there’s nothing more timeless than a sari. – [Gwendoline] And how long did it take to make your sari? The work on it’s truly exquisite. – Oh, it’s beautiful. – So this is all hand embroidery. – [Ashley] Of course, it is. – It’s taken… Let me get this number right, because it’s extremely important when you talk about craftsmanship. 1,905 man hours and 163 craftsmen, embroidery workers, everybody, to make this gown.
