I Went to Europe’s LARGEST INDOOR THEME PARK (In Russia)

Hello everybody. Welcome to Travelling with Russell.  Welcome to new video. Welcome to possibly   my favorite video of the whole year. I’m here at Dream Island Park in Moscow.  We’re going to go check out a theme park now this  is quite different and maybe a little bit unique  

For theme parks around the world it’s entirely  indoors have a look at the snow right here snow   still on the ground and it’s around about -3 today  we’re going to go inside a theme park perhaps ride  

Some rides and just check out what it feels like  to go to an indoor park here in Moscow Russia for   anybody that doesn’t live in Moscow or didn’t  know a theme park here existed Dream Island   Park is very close to Technopark Metro Station. Actually you can even go down to the electric  

River trams just off to the right there  there’s a very nice beautiful park where   you can walk we want to go indoors warm  up a little and check out this park.  Just looking down the plaza where  we just came from the metro station. 

There’s actually a apartment building  directly in front of us called.  Yes Technopark. Wouldn’t that be everybody’s   dream to live it across the road from a theme park  let me know in the comments would you like to live  

This close be able to walk right in and go on  the rides after making my way through security   now I’m actually here on a Tuesday lunchtime so  I’ve intentionally come on a bit of a choir today  

I still think there’s going to be a lot of people  here and I think no matter which day you come it’s   going to be very busy now the main entrance where  I’ve just walked in is actually a shopping mall  

And you don’t have to go to the theme park at all  you can literally just come with a shopping mall   experience and there’s restaurants and cafes my  wife is here with me today now the video is really  

Going to be me in the video and a lot of times  she’s going to be filming me I think and we’re   going to walk onto the park and not necessarily  stop too much here in the shopping mall cuz this  

Is a separate video in itself it really is an  impressive place when you first walk in here if   you’ve not been before and just the fact that  it’s indoors and this huge roof structure that   they built over the building that’s very normal  in shopping centers in Parks like this you can  

Actually bring your jacket and check it right here  and your little tag that you can collect back your   jacket after so it’s a little bit easier to walk  around of course with the cold weather you’re not   going to wear your heavy jacket indoors it’s  so nice and warm now again we’re here during  

The week and it’s very quiet Saturday and Sunday  here naturally we be much busier so it’s nice to   to come on a bit of a quieter day to make the  video after walking through the main shopping  

Mall part of Dream Island you come to the turn  Styles now Jen and I probably weren’t as excited   as these kids were running down to come in but  we’re definitely excited to be here and Evgeniia  

Right here now the video is about me coming here  basically so Evgeniia will be in a little bit of   it and maybe at the end we’ll get her reaction to  the park and she’s going to hold the camera when  

I need to go on a ride here and there. Of course theme parks aren’t complete   without food offerings. I thought this might be   interesting to show everybody. Does anybody know Dunkin Donuts.  In Russia it’s now called Donutto and  right next door is Cinnabon and they  

Absolutely haven’t changed. The name is exactly the same.  Basically the same with Dunkin  Donuts there is no difference.  It’svery difficult to give a perspective  of how big this place is and when you   see Evgeniia standing there and  then the height of the building.  It’s just incredible how  large this indoor area is. 

Dream island is actually made up of 10 different  themed zones and hopefully across this video I’ll   try and show as much of it as I can without  making the video too long and I’ll just show   some of the highlights of the park which I  think you’re going to enjoy the actual main  

Entrance where we just came in and pass the  entrance you actually come into a very new   part of Dream Island which was added only last  year and if you’re from Australia and if you’re   from Perth we have a place called ad Adventure  World and this was called bounty’s revenge. 

I think everything park around the world has  the boat ride like this and it’s pretty fun   now this is pretty scary if you’ve not  been on rides before but what we want to   go on is right here the red Tower and this  is the tallest ride in the park and forun  

We T take the camera on it because they  might be worried that I could drop it.  This is what we want to go on the actual main  entrance here this is themed around the circus  

This was literally just recently added so it’ll  be fun to go on this first ride right to the top   of the building it’s probably hard to get a  bit of an idea of how high they are off the  

Ground just imagine I’m actually on the ride and  someone’s filming me I thought I’d show the people   ahead of us and this is why I’m happy to come on  a Tuesday there is no line and no people and they  

Told me at their ticket booth this is the best  days to come absolutely middle of the day when   most kids are at school and also when all the  parents are at work so I done well to time my  

Appearance at the park there is a few more rides  in this first area here now I’m not going to ride   all the rides personally but I’m going to do a  few of them at least and this was the red tower  

That we just got off I think these are the people  that were on the ride right after us just here.  I’ve lost Evgeniia already she’s gone running  away to the next area ahead of me so it’s   definitely going to be a fun afternoon and  then from here we come into the main indoor  

Part which is essentially a huge building a  big sign there Dream Island and then and as   we walk through as well the music changes so we  were in area number one behind me and then this   main hall makes up nine other themed zones and  a lot of them are based on different characters  

From TV both in Russia and then on International  television as well not too sure all the characters   probably a little bit old to know them Hello  Kitty I definitely know and then over here   is The Smurfs I know that one and the last one I  recognize Ninja Turtles oh and Hotel Transylvania  

As well so there’s a lot of theming to the park  which is the same as the different International   characters I think is the best way to call them. Okay so after getting off our first ride Evgeniia,   what did you think of the Red Tower? It was very really very cool not really  

Dangerous this is nice okay so hopefully we can  get Jan on a few more rides and have fun she’s   a little bit scared of heights scared of speed  scared of lots of things so I think she’s scared  

Of spiders as well so we’ll keep going around and  see what else we can check out they do have also   some live shows as as well there’s a couple of  them later on from when we’re here now the them  

Park map it’s pretty easy to navigate here where  we walked in at the beginning right here and then   everything here is all under one building roof and  essentially it’s a walk around so shouldn’t be too   difficult to figure out where we’re going to be  going we won’t need the train today just like  

Any theme park around the world gift shops are  a big part of it and like when I was working on   cruise ships selling all the merchandise this is  absolutely no different and pretty much everything   they’ve got here is themed after the different  areas in the park so you can see in this first  

Bit big emphasis on Hello Kitty and then each area  has all the different things if you want something   to remember your day at the park by Hello Kitty  got definitely lots of presents here now this is  

The entrance to the the restaurant there’s a gift  shop right there and the actual Cafe is right on   the corner of Main Street here this is probably a  good example of how the theming changes ahead of  

Us here is the Ninja Turtles section and then  Evgeniia told me she wants to check out the   Hello Kitty section and this themed area now  not all the rides of course are for all ages   they actually can be you know adults children can  ride everything there’s obviously a certain theme  

To them as all the people here go on to this ride  and what my wife really wants to see is the Hello   Kitty Salon over here I’ve definitely got to  go in and have a quick look the actual music  

Here is really quite overwhelming especially  for making videos and check this out this is   a children’s salon and actually hopefully they  won’t mind there’s a young girl getting her nails   done and one getting their hair done and I think  the father in the back there is super happy and  

So quickly the Pink theme disappears as we go  down the Ninja Turtle Street and it looks like   we’re going down Broadway in New York and then we  even got the phone right there check that out for  

Theming how neat is that now I do want to point  out again that we are here on a Tuesday afternoon   and although there is quite a lot of people here  you if you come here on the weekends it would be  

Even busier and it’s hard to kind of grasp that  you’re actually in inside a building with a giant   roof on top and it even has a pizza place which  is very well known in New York they got pizza  

Places all over the place Antonio’s Pizza Rama  they even got upstairs dining as well and inside   is definitely well themed and then we come up to  the roller coaster or at least the indoor roller  

Coaster and this is what I want to go on next just  need to figure out where the entrance is there’s   no sprawling lines to give you a hint of where it  is so just need to figure it out and go on inside  

So just like in New York and the Ninja Turtles  I’m going to go on this roller coaster and go   on the subway Canal Street Station now I can’t  take the camera on this ride but I’ll give you   some reaction right afterwards and possibly  just like in the sewers and the underground  

In New York this is actually the entrance way I  just realized I can take my camera and then place   it down when I get to go on the ride oh even the  green slime in the sewers right there oh the Ninja  

Turtles are fighting wow let’s get to the ride  so I’ve come across my first line for the day   and that’s for the roller coaster there’s really  not that many people in line though there’s only  

About 30 people so it should be fairly quick so I  was on the ride before this one I’m just catching   my breath it was very cool and the good thing you  can just literally put your bag here jump on the  

Ride and it’s right there when you get off again  didn’t want to go on the ride so it was just me   that was very cool and probably well so far the  best thing in this park it was it was so fast if  

Anyone’s been on the I think it’s the incredible  H coaster in Universal Orlando where it’s got that   catapult start that was what it was and most of  it was in the dark so you didn’t even actually  

Know the turns and the twists and the 360 Loops  you’re doing but I want to go on it again but I   need to calm down and Catch My Breath a little  to go back in on a second time I think I found  

The ride I want to go on next and this one looks a  little bit more relaxing you actually sit on your   belly and go for a good twirl around and I think  I’ve even convinced Evgeniia to go on it as well.  Yeah. Uh-huh. 

So let’s line up and go on there and from here  we can can just see the ride going around and   again this ride’s only got a few people in  line so that’s good I’m so happy we came  

Here during the week to go on the roads cuz even  something like this you could be 30 minutes or   longer waiting as we walk between rides and  Evgeniia was just on the last ride with me.  What did you think? I think it’s really  

Perfect yeah yeah yeah it’s cool really of those  and I thought it was cool as well and the fact   that I’m trying to get my wife on more rides  it was fun I’m actually just tired from just  

The excitement of it and then walking around so  let’s see what’s next off in the distance they’ve   got another chair ride and this one is themed all  around the snow queen and winter it’s very well   themed especially with the weather outside nowes  from now there’s actually a live show that’ll be  

Right here and there’s actually live actors and  again coming midweek pays off because there’s   just a few of us here now they do let you know  that there’s show times throughout the whole   day but of course I think everybody likes to  go on their rides perhaps more than coming to  

See shows on the stage after watching the live  theater show it was very cool it was more like   a 4D ushow or a adventure and there’s actually  characters in the 4D show which was pretty neat  

As we’re coming down out of the theater it’s  a pretty neat view here of the whole place and   some of the rides and just some of the theming as  well there another ride right in front of me here  

And then further around is the dinosaur Zone  you just see off in the distance right there   I think we have to go in and see the crazy  mirrors and the Snow Queens mirrors as well   and let’s head on inside oh also a little bit  disorientating which way you’ve got to walk

This is a little bit crazy mirrors really you   you don’t know where is the  mirror and where is not the mirror it’s everybody like lost as they’re walking around huh you feel like you’re  having to put your hand in

Front this is really fun I was thinking it  was the ones that show like the Warped shape   but otherwise it’s just where you don’t  know which way to walk as you’re going around oh this is funny thought I just take  a break after going through that mirror maze  

It’s all a bit disorientating in you especially  holding the camera as well and not sure which way   to go and what do you think of my white lions  are they white Bears someone let me know in  

The comment what they are oh I’ve walked so many  steps today already I feel like just relaxing here   for a while as we keep walking around we’ve come  across the dinosaur Zone and there’s one right  

Over here and then the one that we want to go on  is around the corner from this and again I really   want to point out the theming and the decoration  especially for an indoor park as well and just how  

Good it looks this is the ride that we want to  go on next this one right here and it’s I guess   the sensation of flying and being one of those  flying dinosaurs that’s pretty cool it’s it’s  

Huge structure in the middle of the building too  and that’s what I want to go on next so the line’s   not too long for this ride either which is good  I think we’ll be on the one after this one it’s  

Pretty timed but I think once you’re up there  it’s probably a lot higher than what it looks   so it turns out I’m actually too chubby to go  on the ride so I’m going to have to sit it out. 

Jen’s going to ride it so I can actually get her  on the ride hopefully there is X waving and my   seat actually got taken by somebody else it’s  not a problem that I didn’t get to go on it I  

Really did though I’ll have to go back on the  roller coaster again to make up for it and I   think there they go yes now you can actually  control the wings you might see them moving.  Evgeniia is right here by the way. I think she’s probably a little bit  

Worried to press them you can see how you  can move the the wings and as you move them   it makes the seat that you’re in spin at the  same time and apparently you could make it   completely rotate if you catch the right angle  and we’ll see her coming around well hopefully Wahh. 

That is cool and actually there’s a real bit  of air turbulence when they come Bu from this   exact spot right here now if we can catch it  the guy on the front is literally doing Loop   to Loop right there and he’s got it mastered  there’s really wind that blows by each time wow  

That’s pretty cool I wonder if Evgeniia  managed to get the wings working or not I can see her. Let me get the live   interview with Evgeniia and I didn’t get to go on  it but she did how was it very cool I’m a little  

Just scure but it’s nice nice I like it the jungle  and I think Jurassic theme continues as we keep   on walking around it’s really a fun park mean I  think maybe more for Evgeniia than I having fun  

Well I think I’m more into the roller coasters  maybe more than the you know the simpler rides   giant Venus vly trap right here W want to see one  of those in real life and there’s another kind of  

A flying chair ride in the distance right there  since we literally walked in the park we could   smell popcorn and we walked around the whole  place and I think this is maybe only one or two  

That they’re actually selling it and I think they  must have a fan that blows the popcorn smell into   the park because it’s really that them Park smell  that you’re used to and you know you’re really  

Want some after you see it so many times this is  kind of fun so if you’ve seen Jurassic Park the   movie they actually had Mercedes four-wheel drives  and if you really remember the movie The M on the  

Front was about three or four times the size of a  normal car emblem and they intentionally did that   for the movie to get The Branding of the truck  now this particular one in front of us here is   the Russian alternative which is the Uaz. Which is a very well-known  

Russian four-wheel drive. which is a competitor to the Lada Niva.  Basically this one’s been kitted out  especially for the park and dinosaur hunting.  As Evgeniia keeps eating her popcorn. We’re just walking by the haunted house   now probably needs to be a little bit darker  in this middle section to be really haunted and  

It’s pretty cool the size of it as well it’s  something that I keep going back to and just   how huge this entire place is and how spread out  it is and especially today how quiet it feels as  

You walk around you know there is probably quite  a few thousand people in here but being that it’s   midweek it’s just not as well attended kids are  at school people are at work and this is the maybe  

The secret when you should come to a theme park  here in Russia they also have Pinocchio’s house   or batina as they say in Russian and it’s a long  time ago since I remember this show or movie but  

Again it’s very themed as you walk around and I  think this is more my speed I don’t think they’ll   restrict me with a weight going on this ride and  it looks like everyone’s having fun I think I see  

A mum there even at the back as well I decided to  line up for this ride it looks pretty interesting   and hopefully it’s fun again not too many people  which is nice T’s gone to sit down and eat her  

Popcorn and this Rider Waits me next okay so  I just got off the ride unfortunately again   I couldn’t take the camera on the ride so it’s  not a problem it’s pretty fun basically you go   one ride around and then the people at the top  there basically and now waiting for the next  

Lot of people to swap over so it was pretty cool  probably not as cool as the roller coaster which   I want to go on one more time and then I think  I’ve pretty much done all the rides here so it’s  

Been fun walking around and reliving our childhood  I guess going on different rides and also the fact   that it’s very themed as you go from one basically  land to the next the different music and different  

Feelings you get as you go around it’s really is  a cool place to come to I think there is nobody   in the world who’s been to a theme park has not  been on the Dodge and they’re right here in Dream  

Island and these are actually in a few different  places in Moscow as well you can do these in some   of the outdoor Parks oh big crash and there’s  no license required but there it’s so fun as we  

Slowly make our way out of the park I just got off  the roller coaster one more time I had to go on it   again because that was by far the best ride in the  park by a long way and I’m not sure if I want to  

Go on the flying chairs one more time as we slowly  walk to the First theme when we first arrived this   is really the main street here walkway and it’s  just amazing the lights and the design and the  

The building and how it looks and what’s probably  hard to kind of get a grasp of is the fact that   you walk through a shopping center to get to the  theme park of course it’s all one big building but  

It’s just a huge place especially thinking the  fact that it’s indoors as well we’ve been here   quite a lot of hours as you can see it’s now dark  outside and the lights from the rides just make   it look even nicer and you know the buildings  that they’ve created for the different themes  

Just stand out that little bit more as we see the  flying chairs go around again so we just picked   up our coats from the coat check right here and  I didn’t notice this when I walked in they we  

Have numbers above each section now today there’s  only one section open but you get a token when you   give your jacket then you obviously handed in to  collect it afterwards and the last curtain room   here goes up to 27,000 so there’s enough room for  27,000 jackets in the them Park I didn’t really  

Show this when I walked in but there’s these  very big buildings inside the the shopping mall   part of the Dream Island Park and I’m really not  sure what they represent I think this is possibly  

A concert hall and if anybody is from Moscow and  maybe knows what this building is or where it is   in Moscow let me know in the comments I’ve been  actually to Dream Island three times in the last  

4 months and I’ve never caught the music and the  water fountains playing and even now we’ve waited   5 or 10 minutes and we’re not going to catch  them still a great view though right here it   looks like The Fountains at Bellagio anyone’s  seen them in Las Vegas and again we’re inside  

A building where the roof okay everybody we’ve  come to the end of the video and I thought I’d   do the ending here rather than outside in the  cold weather on the way to the Metro home I’ve  

Really had a great time in the park today it’s  actually a little bit tiring and exhausting of   course going on the rides you know you takes a bit  of your breath away at the same time and also the  

Amount of steps you do walking around and around  the park would I recommend coming to Dream Island   yes I would if you’re in Moscow or you know you’re  maybe visiting for a short time it’s definitely  

Worth coming out to this area as well there is a  very nice park outside even winter or summer it’s   worth a walk there and then the shopping center  here I mean it’s probably not got all the shops  

It’s more of a themed shopping mall that you  walk through to go to the park you know it’s   you can come here at the same time it’s a bit of  a bonus you’ll get an extra half an hour an hour  

Walking around if you really like the video give  it a thumbs up it was really fun to come here and   to come with my wife who’s holding the camera she  didn’t want to be in the ending that’s no problems

I decided to spend the day at the Largest Indoor Theme park in Russia. Dream Island Theme Park is home to Europe’s largest indoor all-season amusement park. The main building includes a covered area of 300 thousand square meters.
